Cute Parisian Bistro. We got there early to get a table. They were so kind and offered us what they said was the best table- looks outside with doors of restaurant open. It was in the shade, but we opted for indoor as we cannot stand cigarette smoke. We were offered the menu in English and the majority also spoke English. Pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend you get there before they open as the restaurant was packed within twenty minutes.

A nice bistro tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's only a few blocks from Galleries Lafayette! We stumbled upon it due to the high reviews. We came a little before 7pm which was good as this place fills up really quickly! They take reservations, so be aware if you're trying to dine during peak times. The wait staff is friendly and helpful though sometimes gets overwhelmed during peak times. For less than €30, you get a 3-course dinner... really great price for Paris!! I got French onion soup, entrecote, creme brulee. While not mind-blowing, all three courses were good. The wine is also nicely priced at this restaurant. I had a cote du Rhone which paired really nicely with my dinner. This was a nice quaint bistro in the city and a solid spot for traditional French fare.

This place was definitely a hidden gem! The staff was soo friendly and welcoming. They even put on music from a famous Dominican singer when we told them we were from DR. The food was delicious. I had the onion soup and the beef bourguignon. All really flavorful. Great glass of Pinot noir to go along with my meal. Will definitely come back to Lou Cantou, next time I'm in Paris!

Delicious little spot. The French onion soup and the crème brûlée were the highlight of my meal!

Excellent option to have a meal around Madeleine, Gallery Lafayette area. We found this place on yelp and we're not disappointed. Great food and service.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. If I was mistaken, please post photos and just tell me that I was part of some elaborate joke to ruin a lunch for me and my wife.

That's not acceptable. The food, however, was. Hence my difficulty in giving one rating. Our 3 dishes tried were indeed solid. Generous servings of seafood in the bouillabaisse, and I have no qualms whatsoever with my cuise de grenouille and foie gras salads. Bread kept us alive. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
