    Pigs ears

Good meal in a nice Paris cafe ... corner spot across from elevated. Yes . X I took the chance and had the pigs ears. Kind of like calamari with a lot more pieces of tougher cartilage mixed in. My mail course lamb was above average and the strawberry and whipped cream dessert very nice. Our server was very nice and provided good service.

Service is terrible. Ignored for such a long time. Had just come in for a coffee and a dessert before a bike tire with Fat Tire. Unimpressed. €3.80 for an Americano and they can't even fill the cup to the top?

Oh my god! This restaurant is a hidden gem. Well not so hidden when they are packed with regular locals on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. I said hidden because I just randomly walked into this restaurant for some lunch. But the location is actually pretty nice. It's not that far from Tour Eiffel. Their mackerel is heavenly! Best mackerel I've ever had. Very few ingredients but perfected the tastes of the fish. Surprisingly good! Very good olive oil they use as well. I had a berry tarte for dessert. It was amazing! It's not too sweet! Their owner is very nice and speaks really good English. He actually explained to me the menu each dish by dish since I don't speak French. How nice of him! :) Definately a go to spot for me now.

I was invited here for dinner with my Parisian uncle who lives in 15eme--otherwise, there was no way I would have known about this place. Still, if you're a tourist looking for good food in Paris, this place is very close to Pont Bir-Hakeim (as seen in Inception, apparently), so it's not entirely out of the way. They don't have an English menu, which I think is at least partially a result of the fact that they change their menu monthly, and it would be too much work to make 2 menus at the start of each month. Given my total lack of knowledge of French, this was kind of problematic, but hey, a nice patron nearby recommended the pork belly to me, and our server kindly gave me the wi-fi password so that I could use Google Translate. We ordered the charcuterie, pate, salad, pork belly, and some rose. The charcuterie had a nice variety of meats, and though I'm not a pate fan, my companions really enjoyed it. The salad to me looked pretty plain, but my cousin who ordered it said it was good. My pork belly plate was pretty good, though I guess I wish there had been a bit more flavor and variation in texture; the beans could have been better as well, but overall, I did still enjoy it. Finally, the rose (can't remember the specifics) was REALLY, REALLY strong but still pretty tasty. Definitely one of the better meals I had in Paris!

Lovely place. Small menu but multiple options. I had the lamb for a main course. The charcuterie appetizer was a meal in itself. On a Friday night it wasn't that busy. Good wine selection.

This is a must!! It's not too far of a walk from the Eiffel Tower and worth every penny. The menu is completely in french but the server was soo nice and explained the items in English to us. This food is authentic French food so it you want to experience that type of food this is definitely the spot!

Although we only had croissants and coffee while staying nearby in an apartment, I can say both were excellent. Charming bar area and many locals stopping in for their espresso in the mornings. Friendly staff too.

There are two tables essentially in the kitchen (a true "Chef's Table" arrangement) and maybe 6 tables in the adjoining room. We were welcomed warmly. Deborah was the hostess and server. Chef Hugo is visible in the kitchen, working very hard to make everything just perfect. They brought bread immediately (my husband loved the sliced baguette--it was perfect and chewy as it should be, but not hard). We ordered a bottle of wine, a Macon Villages, which was perfect. I had the cucumber salad appetizer, which was so fresh. My husband ordered the ravioli appetizer--tiny little rectangles in a scrumptious sauce--a work of art. I ordered the fish and shrimp plate. The sauce was amazing and it was a huge portion of tender white fish. My husband had the lamb with frites. It was nicely seasoned & perfectly done. For dessert, my husband enjoyed a chocolate treat and I had refreshing raspberry sorbet. Deborah was so friendly and solicitous throughout the meal. I have never felt so well taken care of. (I have seen some comments from people who are unhappy that they can't just walk in. They don't appear to understand that there is only one seating. People arrive when they do and they linger. Empty tables seen from the street do not mean the place is not fully booked. Make a reservation well ahead of time. It is worth it!)

Naturally, we had to see what all the excitement was about. ambience has that old-school Parisian bistro feel We ordered their best sellers and while both sandwiches were made with quality ingredients, fresh bread, and generous fillings, they just didn't live up to the expectations. They were good, but they weren't the kind of sandwiches that make you stop after the first bite and think, this is amazing. I honestly don't understand the hype. After waiting in line, I expected something truly memorable, but it turned out to be just a good sandwich, nothing more. If you happen to pass by when there's little or no queue, it's worth trying. But if there's a long line, I'd skip it and head to one of the many other excellent sandwich shops in Paris. For me, the wait simply wasn't justified.

Another big highlight is how extremely well-priced everything is for the quality you're getting. The servers are friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel warm and relaxed. Overall, it was a truly lovely dining experience and one I would be soooo happily to return to.

We were seated at a table facing the smaller street with IKEA City. Not much people-watching happened given shops were already closed in the evening and thus less people shopping on the streets. We ordered the croque monsieur and croque madame. The difference between the two is that the croque madame comes with a fried sunny side up egg. This was heavy but so yummy! The egg yolk makes a great sauce to soak up this cheesy and hammy toast. This came with a salad on the side which had a vinegar based dressing coated on it. The only thing is we had miscommunication with the waitress about drinks. We asked for water (l'eau) but they gave us distilled water in a bottle which costed us 8 euros. I learned it's important to learn to specifically ask for carafe d'eau (tap water in French) to get free water! Felt a bit bad that we were overcharged. Just gotta be careful with communicating next time. All in all, I enjoyed trying the amazing sandwich that is a croque madame. Wanted to give 4 stars for the food but the bottled water still irks me.
