The Lou's is their veggie-only deep dish, it was packed with flavor. I was a little hesitant to try a veggie pizza but it had a perfectly crunchy crust and tasty fresh toppings. It didn't feel greasy at all despite being a pizza. For something different, we tried the hot honey with pepperoni. While a bit on the salty side, the sweet and spicy kick of the honey made it memorable. Overall, we're thrilled we gave them a try! Ordered a deep dish pizza last night for the last time. We never received our dinner. Third party delivery driver delivered our pizza to someone else and went dark on us. Denny the Lou's manager refunded us immediately. He's been good with our several poor delivery experiences before over past three years. Grew up with Lou Malnatis in Elk Grove Village and now here for 13+ years and Geneva does not disappoint. If there is any mishap, they are so quick to resolve, which is rare. Denny, mgr in the Geneva location was more than helpful in the past. All time favorite pizza place. read more

There were small brownie pieces on the bottom, then mascarpone and chocolate mousse, and chocolate ganache on top. We've tried a few of the pies here and honestly when it comes to chains-- it wasn't as good as Giordano's. The crust was more crumbly and pie itself just not as flavorful as other deep dish pies we've had. The bruschetta was also on the bland side. Very little cheese, too. The only time I tried Lou Malnati's was over six years ago, and it was back when I thought Giordano's was king of deep dish pizza. Well, I've come to realize over time that Giordano's is actually the McDonald's of deep dish pizza. That's what happens when you try different types of deep dish pizza and realize how important the crust on a deep dish pizza is on the overall package. So with that said, it was long overdue to give Lou's another chance. I think part of the reason I didn't like Lou's at first was that I let my friends order rather than order what I liked. Ordered a small Malnati Chicago Classic with extra pepperoni and onions (already comes with sausage, otherwise I would've ordered that too). I gotta say that it was WAAAAAY better than I remembered it. Never will I underestimate how important that buttercrust is to a deep dish pizza. Even I can change my opinions over time! Ingredients were super fresh too. Wish I had known before I came here that this location was only a takeout location. Didn't even know that such a place even existed! Ordered delivery tonight- my family and I have been eating at Lou's for years around the Chicagoland area. Rhe young lady on the phone was absolutely the best- so kind, patient and perfect at what she is doing. I could hear how busy that location was over the phone and was excited! This is definitely good pizza! I ordered delivery and the pizza arrived within forty five minutes. The personal size is the perfect portion for one person. Their small is big enough for two people to share. The pizza is loaded with tons of cheese and the sauce has flavor. Since I ordered delivery, I cannot speak on the actual location. Steer clear of the Geneva location, RaF. Can't rate food because they never made my order. Manager kept talking over me, provided no apology. I was trying to speak then treating me like I was making a scene when I was trying to ask questions. This was after my husband went inside to pick up order and man with accent was telling my husband he was the only person taking orders all day and did we call a different location. I then called the location and the person who took my order answered the phone, and I explain my husband was inside trying to pick up order that he took from me, I asked where is our order, and asked why person speaking with accent lied and told my husband he was only person taking orders all day. He then put me on hold for manager, so I went inside the location while waiting for someone to come back to phone. Basically no accountability and stated people make mistakes, which is true, but you don't treat the customer rudely by cutting them off and speaking over them and then say they are making a scene when the manager is the person who escalated it. Then I tell them forget about the order as we could not wait another 35 min. No offer of delivery or anything. Then as I am leaving he apologizes to the people in the waiting room, this really got me boiling so I turned around and said your apologizing to them, you should be apologizing to me. If you want classic Chicago style pizza, Lou's is your place. The pizza always tastes fresh and is extremely tasty. My family enjoys crumbled sausage, black olives and garlic but just regular old cheese or pepperoni is also great. Their thin crust is also very good, but Chicago style is the real star here. It's not your typical "ready in 20 minutes" pizzeria, but it is worth the extra time. I have sent frozen Lou's to my friends out of state and they loved it. Makes for a nice holiday gift. read more

I was so excited to see the crustless pizza option and ordered it for dinner tonight. I went to the Geneva location and utilized the curbside pickup. Everything was timely and the young lady who brought out my food was very pleasant. I was quite surprised when I got home with the pizza though as it had not been sliced. Is that a "thing" with crustless pizza? We are in the middle of a move and only have plastic forks and knives at our disposal right now. The taste was unremarkable and the bottom crust was kind of mushy. People are always raving about it, but every time I have had it, I am unimpressed. My group of 6 decided to order a large classic and medium pepperoni. I don't know what we were thinking because that was enough food to feed a village. Pretty poor estimating on our part as deep dish is heavy and we got full quickly after a slice... While the pie was okay, and I got the deep-dish experience of using a fork and knife to eat it, it was not extremely memorable in taste. I think I've had better deep dish back at home at Patxi's. I've been a fan of Lou Malnati's for over 15 yrs. Have tried competing deep-dish from Pizano's, Pequod's, Uno's, Pizzeria Due. The pizza I've ordered from here is the first deep-dish I've had where the toppings/filling didn't extend all the way to the crust. Trust me when I say there is no such thing as a deep dish connoisseur in Chicago. But there are differences between the pizzas. Lou's is good if you are looking for more of a thin and crispier deep dish crust compared to Giordano's. The sauce is a bit darker and thicker as well. Overall all I enjoy Lou Malnati's, though I prefer Gino's East and Giordano's. Great atmosphere and good pizza, give it a try. read more
