We came on a busy Friday night. Parking was difficult to find but we managed to find one along the street. Downtown Naperville is quaint. This particular Lou Malnati is the nicer one in Naperville. It's in an old firehouse. The theme is on point! The wait was going to be too long so we found a spot at the bar. Bartender was very nice. We weren't too hungry so we ordered a personal pizza to share. I got a 0%alcohol beer. The pizza took 30 minutes to come out. The crust was strange. It was like there was too much corn meal on the side. I can't place what's wrong with it except I had Giordanos deep dish pizza and the crust was really good. It's too bad because I'm visiting from California and was disappointed in this pizza.

When in/ near Chicago you gotta try deep Dish pizza. The two different pizza restaurants to try were Lou Malnati's Pizzeria in downtown Naperville (which is super nice). It was packed, smelled great and looked like it was in an old firehouse which was cool ambiance. The service was friendly and we waited about 20 minutes for my wife and I to share a Chicago style deep dish pizza. The pizza was great and the cheese melted and gooey. It doesn't take much of this kind of Pizza to Fill you up. We actually bought one to take back to California to give to a friend. Gotta give them a try.

** Carry Out Review ** This Lou Malnati's is located in the heart of downtown Naperville. They do have a designated area for carry out orders which also has specified parking making it easier for customers. My husband ordered via the website and it was easy to navigate. Our order was ready by the estimated time and our food was correct. We had a medium deep dish Lou. It was flavorful, cheesy and oh so good. The 1 thing I wish we could change is how fast the crust begins to get soggy from being in the pizza box. I know that's beyond anyones control but if that somehow could be fixed, that would be great haha.

Nina provided us the best service. She gave us a very good service. The food was excellent. We also had deep dish and thin crust pizza. Everything was good including the environment. Great place to have dinner with the family.

Parking: Free 3 hrs parking in nearby Paw Paw Lot and via intersecting streets. Restrooms: in the back of the restaurant. Serves its purpose. Ambience: open, airy and enclosed. We're seated in a booth inside the restaurant and had a great view of outside with sun. Star of the show is Lou's Bruschetta! One of the best, with drizzled balsamic vinegar, even keel bruschettas we've tasted. Iced tea tasted fantastic! Hint of sweetness. Perfect for summer! Kids meals are a huge deal. My son loved four large pieces of Cheese Ravioli with meat sauce. He ate everything on his plate. Customer Service: Five stars from our Server with clear, concise communication from beginning to end. Normally, The Malnati Chicago Classic takes about 30 minutes to be ready. Same server informed us after 35 mins that the clamp holding the deep dish pizza fell off and as a result our deep dish pizza dropped to the ground. We're willing, waited for an hour, and Server initiated to comp pizza and we agreed due to accident. We're happy with the decision. Our Server came over to ask how's our food tasting, provided water and napkin refills were accessible. When The Malnati Chicago Classic arrived, we observed only one inch thick butter crust that was filled halfway. Liquid from the tomatoes saturated the top of the deep dish pizza. Italian sausage tasted bland. Chicago deep dish pizza lacked seasonings. While Lou Malnati's are known for their butter crust, I didn't experience the crispy, flakiness. Instead, the butter crust tasted dense. My husband and I could only eat one pizza. We packed the rest to go. I managed to eat the rest for dinner. I'm willing to give Lou Malnati's Pizzeria another chance when we're in IL. I enjoyed walking around in the vicinity.

This was busy on a Friday night, which was to be expected, but my friend and I said at the bar so service was really quick. The calamari was absolutely delicious and I also got an appetizer sampler.. the bartender made a drink for customer, but use the wrong alcohol in it so I was able to get a free espresso martini since she had to remake it so yay.

Your run-of-the-mill pizzeria whose main audience is high school students coming on dates. I was able to take a break from my construction manager duties. The service was great and our waitress was very friendly. There are various rooms dedicated to claw machines and pin ball games and a large, clean seating area. Penne Al Malnati- Very standard pasta dish. Not much flavor or depth, just lots of cheese. The sauce was nothing special and the beef didn't stand out enough for me to notice it. The Lou- I came mainly for the famous Chicago deep dish pizza. However, the pizza slice was also mediocre and the vegetables saved the lack of flavor. The menu claimed the crust had garlic, but I did not taste any garlic either. Despite the kind waitress, I would not come back. You'll have better luck finding a delicious Chicago deep dish pizza elsewhere.

We have been bringing out-of-town guests here for the past 15 years, at least. It's our favorite branch of all the Lou Malnati's we've eaten at. We learned last year that the company is no longer owned by the Malnati Family, but by a corporation; and the restaurants are franchises, not consistently good. Sure enough, when we brought guests to the one on Roselle Rd. in Schaumburg, only the famous salad was good. The pizzas we ordered lacked the delicious tastes we had bragged about. Service was good, but even the server told us that the new cooks weren't up to par. So far, the Naperville branch still cooks up delicious pizzas. Hope they keep it up.

CHICAGO DEEP DISH!! Finally was able to make it here! These guys have it to a science, this is the best out there in Chicago! I know its a debate but I would say it is! Has the Deep Dish "The Malnati Chicago Classic" small for two (honestly 3-4 people can eat and have a slice each. This place was empty when we went but maybe the time and day. Atmosphere was chill, quiet but good service! The server was not that helpful as it looks alot of locals come here so no need to explain much but she was nice! Pizza was amazing. Thanks guys!

Picked up a carryout deep dish cheese pizza for carryout. Ordering via the app, the estimated ready time was pretty accurate. The pizza tasted great as always. I also really like their thin pizza which I've had many times. But the reason why Lou Malnati's will never be my favorite pizza is that they use crushed tomatoes which sometimes leaves bits of tomato skin and core in the sauce which I really don't like. I also really like and would recommend ordering garlic bread with added mozzarella cheese rather than the 3 cheese bread. For picking up a pizza to go, there's a separate entrance door on the side of the building exclusively for carryout. Since its still hot & melty, make sure to keep the pizza flat in your car and don't tilt it or all the toppings will slide everywhere & create a mess!

We were a party of 6 and ordered 2 x Large Pizzas - The Malnati Chicago Classic & The Lou. I did not try the class one since it contains sausage but heard great reviews about it around the table. The Lou had mushrooms, spinach and weirdly cheddar cheese on top - this was good and definitely worth a try! Also tried the calamari which was crispy and came with the most deliciously fresh marinara dipping sauce! Service was as quick as it can be but keep in mind it will take 30mins for your pizza.

Tonight felt especially memorable and worthy of a proper review. We usually avoid Friday nights because Vai's is almost always packed... and after tonight, it became crystal clear why. Diane and I were craving a standout meal, a little comfort, and a relaxing evening together. What we received was far beyond dinner service. We were treated like valued regulars and genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. Pete, who I believe is the manager, recognized us immediately and encouraged us to put our name on the waiting list despite the crowd. I'm grateful he did. While we waited, we sat outside near the fire on a cool evening, which added another layer of warmth and ambiance to an already inviting atmosphere. Within minutes, Pete came outside personally to let us know two seats had opened at the bar. That level of attentiveness matters. As soon as we walked in, Eliot and Mallory greeted us with smiles and authentic positive energy. Not forced. Not transactional. Genuine. They made us feel appreciated simply for being there. Even on one of the busiest nights imaginable, they engaged with guests with the same warmth and attentiveness we've experienced during quieter weekday visits. In the background, Morgan was crafting cocktails with precision while still finding time for a familiar nod that quietly says, "Good to see you again." That kind of hospitality cannot be faked. We ordered our favorite dish, the Lobster & Shrimp Rigatoni and once again it was exceptional. Rich, consistent, perfectly prepared, and easily one of the best dishes in Naperville. Without us even asking, the kitchen thoughtfully split the entrée onto two plates. That small gesture perfectly captures what makes Vai's special... attention to detail seems woven into everything they do. From the fire outside to the flowers inside, from the cocktails to the consistency of the food, Vai's creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming, polished, and sincere all at once. Authenticity and respect seem embedded in the culture there. Tonight was a standout evening for us, and I'm genuinely glad we decided to stay despite the crowd. Pete, Eliot, Mallory, Morgan, and the entire staff - thank you for reminding us what great hospitality looks like. Outstanding indeed.

The food was fresh and delicious. I recalled a Davanti location in Chicago but never had the chance to check it out, so this was my first time and it was great! The atmosphere is chic and the food was excellent, but not in a flashy, overdone, complicated way, just real good, made in house, hearty Italian fare. The Focaccia Di Recco was AMAZING. Yes, all caps. We packed up half of it to take home and it was still great the next day (reheated and then toasted in our mini counter oven/fryer). If you order just one thing here, let it be this focaccia dish. I understand why it's popular and I blurted out loud several times while eating this in restaurant: "on my god" it was truly divine. As my husband said, "this food might be better than what we had in Italy..." and I don't disagree. The kitchen does not do split portions for pasta but they were able to bring out 2 plates for us to split ourselves. This is a great spot for date night, a ladies night out, or a solo wine & dine at the bar. I can't believe I didn't come sooner. Its very hard to find spots that can accommodate our very particular palates, and even more hard to find good vegan options outside of the city. Thats why I was excited to find this lovely Italian restaurant. The parking lot is small but there's a good amount of sidestreet parking. The inside is warm, cozy and super clean (including the restrooms ). The hospitality stood out right away. The owners and wait staff were very welcoming, and our server was fantastic; honest (which I appreciate), knew the menu well, and once she realized our situation, gave us some wonderful direction on what to order. I wouldn't say that the menu is overwhelming, but I rarely go to a restaurant where it takes me that long to decide what I want. There are lots of interesting options, from braised short rib ravioli to baked ziti, and several tasty appetizers (highly recommend the calamari). But we had come for the PIZZA. My daughter got the kids cheese pizza. It was surprisingly bigger than we thought, and at a great price. The kid only ate half before she said, "I like it...this might be better than [insert famous Chicago pizza brand]." (you MUST KNOW that this is high praise from a 3rd grader). My wife ordered the "They Don't Have Beef With Me" vegan Detroit-style pizza, and I have to admit, it was very good. Somehow they pulled off a buttery (but not butter) crust with melty vegan cheese (but NOT cheese ). Absolutely nailed it. I would have eaten more of hers if I hadn't ordered the Butcher pizza from the wood-fired menu. It was OUTSTANDING. Great flavor, perfect texture. Easily one of thee best wood-fired pizzas I've ever had. We're not drinkers, but they do have a good wine list and some nice zero-proof options, including the Amber Apple and The Drip. We didn't make it to dessert, mostly because the portions are generous, so our bellies (and our to-go boxes) were full. We will definitely be back to try other menu options and for dessert. If your family or friend group includes picky palates or dietary restrictions (the pizzas can be made gluten-free as well), then run...don't walk...to Fiammé. 100/10 recommend.

Located in Naperville, Rosebud has several locations in the Chicago area and are owned under the Rosebud restaurant group. This particular location is in downtown Naperville and serves high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine. The inside has a modern aesthetic with an upscale, romantic atmosphere. I will say this restaurant seems more appropriate for special occasions and formal dinners. The dress code should is smart-casual or business-casual, this is not a casual restaurant. Service seemed a little off and the kitchen was definitely behind. We arrived 10 minutes after our reservation and our table still wasn't ready. We were seated as soon as it was ready, but you could tell they were swamped. The bread took about 15 minutes to come out and it wasn't super warm or fresh. Our server gave us plenty of time to look over the menu, a little too much. But he seemed very busy keeping up with the other tables, so it was more understandable. We put out appetizers and entrees in together to try and speed things up. The kitchen was extremely backed up. It took nearly 20-25 minutes to receive our appetizers. And at least another 30 for our entrees. While this was frustrating, it happens. They also forgot to add shrimp to one of the entrees, although they did take it off the bill. The other aspects of the service were wonderful though. Our waters were filled very frequently by various staff. We had the manager check-in on us a couple times as well. It was clear they were trying to do their best that night. Our server was very personable and friendly too. For the food, we started with some bread and olive oil. They do replenish the bread too. The second basket we received was much fresher than the first. For appetizers, we ordered the grilled calamari and garlic knots. The grilled calamari came with sautéed peppers and had some sort of balsamic olive oil dressing. The dressing was quite strong and the calamari had a strong charred taste. This wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad either. The garlic knots were phenomenal! With just the right amount of oil, garlic, and parmesan, they were soft and just delectable. For my entree, I ordered the Gnocchi Bolognese. This was a generous portion and had lovely presentation. The bolognese sauce was decent with a good amount of veal and beef. I wish it had more of a robust flavor though. The dollop of creme fresh on top made the dish really creamy! The gnocchi was decently tender, not too soft or overcooked. Wasn't "wowed" by this dish, but was satisfied. Overall, my experience at Rosebud could have been a little better. Communication seemed to be off that night. Kitchen was extremely backed up and a lot of errors were made. Luckily some items were taken off the final bill, which was nice. The food was good, not great. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but again, was expecting more out of the overall service.
