My family has ordered delivery from here several times and we love it! The food always comes fresh and we are suckers whenever we receive a coupon in the mail. Our favorite pizza is "the works" pizza without olives. I think we've ordered this twice now, and I say "I think" because it could've been more - my husband is the one who usually requests pizza like it's daily bread and naturally would do the ordering :) If you order "the works" without any modifications, it contains sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, mushroom, onion, green olives, black olives, and green peppers. We've only tried the pizza made with traditional thin crust, but they have different types of dough you can choose from for a slight upcharge: double dough, pan, stuffed, etc. This pizza is perfect because it checks the box for meats (him) and checks the box for veggies (me). We also order a side of marinara which comes in a little tub like a "cup" of soup; it is worth the $5 to dunk your crust in. That's how I will always order pizza, with extra marinara on the side. I was dining in last week in Maciano's for the first time and I heard the manager Jenny yell at one of her young highschool employees about a situation that wasn't her fault. She was so rude and unprofessional in front of customers and in general being un-negotiable and it's sad that an older woman is taking out her anger and frustrations out on young kids. Overall that ruined my night hearing all of the yelling even other patrons around the restaurant were looking around. I made sure to leave the highschooler a tip because I felt so bad. Went here on Easter and I didn't go back to the Carol Stream Winfield location because their food had changed. I thought maybe this location was different. We got the pizza. It was definitely different. The crust and the sauce seems the same but there was so much cheese on there you could barely eat it, even the garlic breadsticks are different and taste completely different. The salad that we got had brown lettuce in it and it was $10?!?!? Another person in the party got cheese fries, they have bacon and the bacon was under the cheese. It was really weird! overall unfortunately I think I'm just done with Macianos all together. The server, Mario was pretty good. We have been ordering from Maciano's for over 10 years now. We enjoy building our own pizzas. Bbq sauce, red onion, bacon, and chicken is one of our highlights. I ask them to make our pies well done as they always seem to come out better that way. Thin crust or double dough, just depends on your mood. We also enjoy their pastas. Have always enjoyed their pasta and pizza. I placed a carryout order tonight and it turned out to be incorrect when I got home. I decided to call them and let them know and Alex (the manager) was very understanding and had it remade for me and even had it go out for delivery to my house as soon as possible. Not too many good pizza places around here. But glad we found this place. We usually get Pepperoni or Pepperoni with jalapeños (which they need hotter peppers, I must say). Their BBQ chicken pizza is so good as well. And their fries are good as well. Love me some good fries with my pizza. Definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good pizza around here. My parents and I ordered a combo from here of pizza, breadsticks and a 2L of root beer. We had them cut the pizza like a pie rather than a tic tac toe board and they did comply. Might be a little biased because it was my first job 20 years ago as a cashier but I love this place. My favorite are their juicy beefs with extra juice on the sauce and extra peppers. Super soft bread and tender meat. Their xangos are delicious as a dessert and if you just want something small even an order of their tomato and spinach cheese bread is toasted perfectly and very flavorful. My favorite pasta here is the lasagna and they have great specials during the week. I recently moved back to the area temporarily and I love taking my kids here or getting a cheese pizza to go. If you want good pizza and pasta, look no further. We've ordered take out here a few times and the employees working the phones were very friendly and thorough. They always double-checked our order and made sure we had utensils, etc. This is my favorite pizza now. The sauce is perfection, the toppings fresh, and I love the crust. Here's a tip; get your crust "slightly well done and crisp." Ask for it just like that and you'll have perfection every time. Their pasta dishes are great. We've had the baked ziti, lasagna, but we always go back to the mostaccioli with meat sauce. Oh, it's so good. Their response to Covid prevention has been incredible. They offer contactless delivery AND curbside pickup, and I REALLY appreciate their initiative, which they implemented IMMEDIATELY. And their food is always fresh, hot, and fast; I think that speaks to their quality...from the ingredients, to management, and the customer service is fantastic. I enjoyed my first visit. We had a thin crust pepperoni and sausage pie for National Sausage Pizza Day. I forgot to ask to have them put the toppings on top of the cheese. I prefer a thin crust to hold up on it's own, it needed to be cooked more for my liking too. The highlight of the night was our interactions with our server, Helen. Such a delightful young lady. The complimentary bread sticks where great, but wasn't impressed with the marinara sauce, seemed watery. The other thing was the actual presentation of the cheese and toppings. For starters we have been to this place since forever. We love the family oriented atmosphere and great food. What I have noticed every time we go there's always different employees, we never have issues with the wait or the servers, but this night we got this kid named Mario. He started being nice by asking for our drinks. He got all of our drinks except my youngest(kids lemonade) when he came to ask for our food he had a rude way of taking our order, but I dismissed it because it was a busy night. I get the stress and the rush (I used to work in the restaurant field) so I dismissed his rudeness at 1st. My spouse had ordered a pizza which can take up to 45 min so his pizza and my kids spaghetti came out 1st. I waited 10 min until I said something to our server, I asked him nicely and said if my entree was coming out (I ordered the chicken lemon, my fave) and my son's lemonade had never came out. He looked at me and rolled his eye then walked away. I thought that was super weird and rude. I even asks my husband if I said something wrong and he said no, that I was polite. After 20 min my plate came out and my son's lemonade . After all of that, he only came to our table once and asked if we needed something. I asked to refill my pop in a nice way so he swiped my cup and once again rolled his eyes and gave me attitude for asking. At this point, I was very upset and thinking if I did or say something wrong to get attitude. I was also afraid to ask for more napkins or refills because of his attitude. I would think that maybe all this attitude was because he was too busy, but instead he was by the bar chit-chatting with other employees like if he was not busy at all, yet his section was full and the rest of the restaurant. We left very upset because we have never gotten this type of service at this place, so I gave him a $2 dollar tip which I never do but his rude behavior was uncalled for. The only thing good about the White Pizza I had was the edges of the crust were crispy, other than that, it had too much cheese on it, it was too thick, and watery. A white pizza is supposed to be lighter, just a touch of mozzarella or provolone, and ricotta with or without tomatoes. This was way too thick and had too much cheese. Fine , I can eat any pizza but this one was much more expensive than what I had ordered. Then the Cannoli the sent was HORRIBLE! First of all its $5. Still fine, I knew that but was treating myself to a special dinner. It was thrown in a plastic container, it was broken and warm upon arrival (should be cold). The ricotta cheese mix should be white...it was yellow. It should be moist and creamy it was dry and crumbly. A little more effort could go into a $5 dollar dessert. My meal with delivery and tip was $30. They credited me for the cannoli. Big deal. read more

This used to be our absolute favorite go to pizza place in the Aurora area but sadly this Maciano's has made a steady decline. We always ordered the Chicago deep dish because the crust was out of this world. We started noticing the crust was losing its garlic flavor. Maciano's used to be one of my favorite Italian places to eat at until last night. I was extremely dissappointed by the food and the customer service! They always bring out breadsticks or garlic french bread while you are waiting for your food with oil and marinara. Normally, they give you an option between the two types of bread but this time no option was given. The breadsticks were so oily and hard we couldn't even eat them. It was almost as if they had tried to refry old breadsticks. Disgusting. For our meals we ordered the chicken florentine, chicken parm sandwich, and mostaccoli alforno. The chicken parm sandwich was all cheese, no sauce and the fries were stale. The chicken florentine, which is my favorite dish there, was AWFUL! I ordered it with breaded chicken rather than baked and it was so hard you couldn't even cut into it! I honestly believe they put old chicken on my plate. The mashed potatoes were so dry and had solidified into two balls on my plate. They were hot on the outside but completely cold on the inside which tells me the florentine sauce they put all over the dish was the only thing that was actually cooked. BUT it had some lumpy chunks in the sauce...did they seriously just microwave a bag of sauce??? Another guest at my table had also ordered the chicken florentine and her dish was exactly the same. Hard chicken, cold potatoes, lumpy sauce. She swears up and down they had to have been box potatoes. She hardly touched her meal. We told our waitress and all she said was "well the only thing I can do is give you a free dessert." Are you freaking kidding me? How about you go make me another one or remove it from my bill?? Or better yet, go get your managers, because both were standing at the counter just talking with one another. The problem is that they have all these sixteen year olds working there and non of them have any server experience or knowledge on how to handle a problem like this. The whole restaurant was completely unprofessional. The girls spent more time chatting and laughing obnoxiously loud behind the counters than they did on the floor refilling drinks, clearing off tables, and actually doing their job. Or how about refilling the salt and pepper shakers, both of which were empty at my table, and replacing the the parmesan cheese because ours was old and in large chunks! One girl spilled an entire drink on a customer at the table next to me. It was ALL OVER HIM but the managers didn't come over once. Just lingered by the front watching. The only reason I am giving this place two stars is because of the mostaccoli al forno. It actually tasted like it was cooked fresh. The meat sauce was good and very spicy, the noodles were cooked just right and it was really cheesy. Even so, it was not good enough to make up for the forty plus bucks we spent on the three other meals that none of us bothered to eat. We seriously left hungry.
