Delightful customer care here, friendly welcoming staff- host The place isxeasy to.find nestled amongst mansions in Smithtown- nissequoge. Parking is ample. Accessible and well lit. There's outside and inside seating It's just as pretty as the one in Fort salonga- Northport. Food is a good choice - pizza, cheese, chips wines are delightful o the most discerning palate. Red, white, and rose are all available here. The best part is the peacefulness of the location and the decor. Spent some time here, and they said live music listed on their site What a wonderful hidden gem off Rte 25A Perfect for couples, gatherings, office holiday parties, and even solo! Pet friendly outside... Try it, you won't be disappointed.

It's very cute inside and they sell really cute wine bottle toppers. Next door, there is a business that sells nice decorations and pumpkins.

Great wine and great food! Simple menu but you don't need that much at a vineyard so long as the weather is nice! Staff was super friendly as well! Unfortunately we came in on a day they were short staffed, but they made up for it in professionalism and friendliness!

Short staffed! I waited about 25 minutes to get seated then another 15 minutes for them to take my order. Honestly this was not a good experiences for a vineyard as all I did was wait wait wait. They really should have more staff in the place. Also not to mentioned the vines are across from where they seat you. Where I was seated in it in a floral shop with lots of empty spaces and construction did not feel like a vineyard experience.

Absolutely beautiful vineyard hidden on LI. We got here around 2:30 on a Thursday. Without reservations the parking attendant said they'd be able to squeeze us in. We walked to the back and were pleasantly surprised to see only a few tables filled. We split the Hummus. I had 2 glasses of white, Chardonnay & Pinot Grigio. Both were good - but the pinto was great! And I am not usually a Pinot Grigio girl. I was slightly disappointed that they only offer wine by the glass or bottle at this time. I would have loved to do a tasting. Maybe after COVID they will do tastings again? I will be back. For sure.

Pros: No need to drive all the way out east, especially since traffic has been so bad this year. So many cute souvenirs with wine sayings Adorable decor. Small and intimate. Indoor/outdoor dinning Amy is the best waitress! Full of energy and laughs Cons: Small selection of wine Small selection of cheese , not really any meats. Unfortunately, 1 of the only 2 cheese boards were already sold out for our reservation [4pm] Being so small, a lack of privacy in conversation was felt while dinning indoors 1 restroom... Nice for a quick vinyard trip locally

    2009 Red Cape Blend

First winery/vineyard I've tried out here in Long Island and I got to say, I've enjoyed it! Great service and options (but due to COVID flight tastings is suspended ). Due to the restriction and other tastings lined up, I had the 2009 Merlot, 2009 Red Cape Blend and the 2010 Cabernet Franc. 2009 Merlot was by far my favorite of the two! It was aged very well, smooth, a not so overwhelming sweet lasting taste, and the aroma was phenomenal! (My family and I love Merlot then Cabernet Sauvignon but they only had Cabernet blends, so we got a bottle of this!) 2009 Red Cape Blend, as you can see on the picture the colorations marvelous and the taste is smooth but not as much of a sweet after taste as the merlot but still a great piece! Some sediments on the bottom but overall a great wine. 2015 Cabernet Franc, this was what they're known for out here and the taste was very unique, and I may know why, I originally sat outside to enjoy some outdoor weather and it wasn't sunny so I took the risk, but it sat in the 88 degree heat for a good ~5 min which I feel gave it that hint of sour taste. Was very unfortunate because the color and initial aroma (smelled it right as it was served) was just amazing! I will definitely be back to try this again but this time I'll sit indoors PS I forgot to take the picture of everything because I didn't want to disturb the huge party there but definitely was worth the hour and a half drive out.

This place gets an extra star for being unique to the area and for being much closer than wineries out east! Spontaneously, we decided to visit here on a late Friday afternoon. The interior is spacious, rustic, and welcoming. There's also an outdoor patio area, which is perfect for summer evenings. We chose the long table inside because of the AC. We sampled the reserve, just Merlot, and estate flights. They were all pretty good with my favorite being the red cape blend. Our server was friendly, helpful and informative. We also had the French cheese platter which was fine but definitely overpriced for what was given. I would definitely return especially when I need an hour or two of relaxation sipping on good wine. I may skip the cheese platter next time though.

$29 bottle, delicious and was good for my table of 4

The weather wasn't ideal for a winery visit, but it was still a lovely experience. I'll definitely try to book a reservation again during the warmer months to enjoy it even more. Apparently it is an extremely popular place to spend a couple of hours and when I say a couple I mean that. They require reservations and a credit card to hold them and you may only stay for a specific period of time. If you make a reservation for 6 people and only 5 show up they will charge your card $25. We ordered wine, frozen drinks and a bottle of prosecco to start. The waitress was definitely overworked so didn't get any personal service. That was not her fault, it was packed! Something to keep in mind, they do not have mixed drinks. Of course it is a winery so they have their wine but my one friend was looking for a cocktail. I had the Sauvignon Blanc and it was mid. I also tasted the prosecco. We shared some hellishly expensive appetizers which were very good. I liked the pizza the best. We also had the pretzel and a charcuterie platter. I was expecting to be wowed, especially since they have their rules and regulations but for me, this place is for the "see and be seen" crowd so not my vibe and if you are looking for a low key romantic time, don't count on that, it was very crowded and loud. I think I would go back but maybe wait until possibly the fall.

The vineyard has a very nice selection of wines, beers and canned cocktails. We had a tasty, albeit sweet rum punch, a nice IPA and a flight of wine. The wines were all very good. They have a food truck on premises with a good selection of the usual fare. The grounds are natural and relaxing. That's not necessarily a problem--businesses can host private events while remaining open to other guests. The problem was that when I needed to use the restroom, I was told I had to wait until the private event was over because the restrooms were reserved for event guests. If that's the policy, then why are you accepting reservations for other patrons at the same time? Basic amenities like restroom access shouldn't be unavailable to paying customers. It's completely unreasonable to invite guests onto your property, take their reservation, and then tell them they can't use the restroom. The whole situation felt poorly planned and incredibly inconsiderate. If a private event prevents you from providing normal accommodations to other guests, then either don't accept additional reservations or make alternative arrangements. This was a frustrating experience and not one I would choose to repeat.

In a display of restaurant solidarity , they recommended that we try Vinas Wine & Tapas. As it turned out, we have a NEW favorite in New Haven! We arrived a bit early and were cheerfully greeted by Mike G, our server. The atmosphere was welcoming and relatively quiet, since their musical offering does not start as early as our 5:00-7:00 PM time slot on a Tuesday. We had asked for the waiter Christian because he had been mentioned in several of the Yelp reviews, but Mike proved that the service compliments should go to everyone. First, the tapas: We enjoyed all five of the tapas we chose. The "Calamares" were lightly battered and crispy. The Vinas salad was fresh, with tomatoes, cheese, corn, and croutons. The pork belly was delicious and more meaty than expected . The oyster mushrooms were presented with onion crisps. The baked birria empanada was stuffed with brisket style beef. Each of these "courses" was a unique delight to the palate, and for me and my partner, it was completely satisfying. In keeping with the spirit of a "wine bar," Vinas offered a flight of 4 wines in 3 ounce glasses, and after hearing about our food choices and wine preferences, Mike chose the wines for us, giving us a chance to taste some less familiar offerings. We had the Felino Malbec 2024 (Argentina), which became our favorite for its full-bodied and deep flavor. Our second wine was a unique Don Abel (private label) from Wallingford CT, made by one of the relatives of the owner, specially for Vinas. This one reminded us of the local wines one might receive in a B&B in the Loire Valley in France. The final two wines were both from Chile: Reserva Carmenere 2023 and Cabernet Sauvignon Marques de Casa Concha 2022. Both were excellent wines. It was great fun to have Mike choose the wines for us, and we really enjoyed the variety that the flight offerings gave to us. Of course, we had to try a dessert, and Mike recommended the Toffee Cake. We had heard that the owner claimed that some people cried with joy after eating it. Although we restrained ourselves, we had to agree that this was an extraordinary conclusion to a fabulous meal. Overall, this was a great experience for us, and we heartily recommend Vinas Wine Bar and Tapas for a relaxing and welcoming dinner. Some reviews I had read suggested that the portions were too small for the price. I have to disagree. My partner and I love food, and this was plenty. And the price was reasonable. Including tip and tax, we spent about $75 each.
