    Shrimp & Pasta

We were seated right away, on the patio. Constant traffic noise, but there was a grassy area and some trees between the patio and the road so it wasn't awful. They brought us chips and salsa right away, and when we ordered guacamole that came out quickly. I really like their salsa - tastes like cumin, "spicy" but not hot. The chips and guacamole are fine, nothing special there. I ordered the pasta and shrimp, my husband went with the Ropa vieja. Both were fine... the shrimp were large and the pasta was loaded with veggies and came with a huge hunk of bread to soak up the sauce when my pasta was gone.

This Latin fusion grill is hidden right off Cemetery Road, across from the moo moo car wash. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a full bar. We came in about 6:00pm on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated immediately. Francesca provided great service and smile every time she checked on us. I had a wonderful raspberry margarita on the rocks. Very tasty! The salsa provided with the tortilla chips was superb. I see why the bowl is so small that they provide. It has a nice aroma with a tiny kick of heat. We may have had our salsa bowl refilled 3 times! I also got the queso which was $6.50 for the same size portion bowl as the salsa. Our food came out in less than 20 minutes. My entree was the Chicken Enchiladas. Everything tasted fresh! The enchiladas didn't have much meat inside but they gave you three in total which makes up for that. Entree included black beans and white rice. I have to honestly say, the enchiladas wasn't my favorite. I must come back to try more food or even more margaritas see if it's really a nice find. Regardless this a clean, prompt service restaurant. I just need to find a favorite dish!

I have recently started to love Cuban food after a few trips to Florida, and was thrilled to find this place close to home! I visited with my boyfriend on a Sunday around noon and we had a 15 minute wait. We started off with the nachos. I enjoyed them but wish they would have had more sauce or queso instead of shredded cheese (that's a personal opinion though, my dad loves shredded cheese on nachos). For my entree I ordered the ropa vieja and I absolutely loved it! It had excellent flavor, served with delicious black beans, plantains, and rice. The plantains were perfect in every way. The table had a nice selection of hot sauce so I added some of that to give the dish some heat. My boyfriend ordered the roast pork. He liked the flavor of his dish but said the pork didn't taste super fresh and he liked the ropa vieja better. We will definitely be back to get more ropa vieja and try the breakfast!

I've only had take out from here but it was so good! The beef brisket quesadilla was great. I'll definitely be having that again!

Excellent Mexican fare but the fried ice cream is heaven. Actually fried... Not a scoop of ice cream rolled in corn flake crumbs.

The restaurant is bright, welcoming and very clean We were seated in a side room with the bar, a large projection TV screen with the volume on MAXIMUM and two smaller TVs advertising menu items. Those TVs featured some seriously delicious looking items! Service was ok. Drink refills were not offered and I needed one. We both ordered lunch specials advertised for $10.99 but billed at $11.99. Hubs ordered the lunch chicken bowl with rice, black beans, grilled chicken and corn. The corn was served refrigerator cold. The rest of the meal was hot. Overall the food lacked seasoning. I started with a cheese empanada. Expertly made and fried with goody cheese inside. The empanada was served with a dmall side of green sauce that I thought was cilantro based. I ordered the lunch Pabellon Bowl with pork, white rice, black beans and a sweet plaintain Everything on my plate was served hot but also without seasoning making it bland. I used the empanada sauce to add some flavor to the pork and rice. In summary, I wanted to love this restaurant the advrtised images on 2 TVs are gorgeous but the food was bland. The projection TV volume made conversation difficult and service could have been more attentive. This was our first expusure to Venezuelan food and probably our last. I still stand by the fantastic empanada. I would return for that alone.

The plantains are drop dead delicious. The Cubans are textbook and everyone in our group went crazy on the tamales. I know better. I held out for the Ropa Vieja. They tell me it's one of the national dishes of Cuba. Pulled stewed beef with various Cuban spices. It's served with Moro rice, which is basically white rice and black beans. They add a salad mix and it's a marvel. This is some of the better food truck fare we've had here in Ohio. We just can't get ahold of a schedule and it's been months now. For me the Cuban sandwich is the star here with perfectly cooked braised pork and good quality ham. They actually use Cuban bread here for the sandwich which you don't see much of in Columbus. It's beautifully seasoned shredded beef on top of Moro rice with a salad mix. You can't go wrong with this one. They also offer empanadas, tostones, and tamales among other things that are all made perfectly. Not bad but nothing special. We also shared the shrimp ceviche. Good flavor but strange texture with the toasted nuts. The food seems like it's fusion as my friend and I both got chilaquiles but the chips were already broken apart and mixed with the meat. Still tasty but not what we expected. My other friend got the patacon, which basically looked like a salad. Far from the usual plantain fritters with toppings. Only one of my table mates ordered something that sounded like what was expected, the Ecuadorian churrasco: sirloin, eggs, fries, rice, and salad. For dessert, we got the flan and tres leches cake. There was a hair on the cake and they quickly gave us a new slice. Good but the flan could've been better. The cake was good though. Nothing was too sweet which was perfect. Overall the food was good but not as authentic as we had hoped. The service was also a bit slow. It was a slower evening but it took a while to get our drinks. Our server was really nice though.
