    Shrimp & Pasta

We were seated right away, on the patio. Constant traffic noise, but there was a grassy area and some trees between the patio and the road so it wasn't awful. They brought us chips and salsa right away, and when we ordered guacamole that came out quickly. I really like their salsa - tastes like cumin, "spicy" but not hot. The chips and guacamole are fine, nothing special there. I ordered the pasta and shrimp, my husband went with the Ropa vieja. Both were fine... the shrimp were large and the pasta was loaded with veggies and came with a huge hunk of bread to soak up the sauce when my pasta was gone.

Always tasty options here and the staff is friendly and quick! Fresh ingredients and a great variety of options. We love coming here as a brunch option

This Latin fusion grill is hidden right off Cemetery Road, across from the moo moo car wash. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with a full bar. We came in about 6:00pm on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated immediately. Francesca provided great service and smile every time she checked on us. I had a wonderful raspberry margarita on the rocks. Very tasty! The salsa provided with the tortilla chips was superb. I see why the bowl is so small that they provide. It has a nice aroma with a tiny kick of heat. We may have had our salsa bowl refilled 3 times! I also got the queso which was $6.50 for the same size portion bowl as the salsa. Our food came out in less than 20 minutes. My entree was the Chicken Enchiladas. Everything tasted fresh! The enchiladas didn't have much meat inside but they gave you three in total which makes up for that. Entree included black beans and white rice. I have to honestly say, the enchiladas wasn't my favorite. I must come back to try more food or even more margaritas see if it's really a nice find. Regardless this a clean, prompt service restaurant. I just need to find a favorite dish!

I have recently started to love Cuban food after a few trips to Florida, and was thrilled to find this place close to home! I visited with my boyfriend on a Sunday around noon and we had a 15 minute wait. We started off with the nachos. I enjoyed them but wish they would have had more sauce or queso instead of shredded cheese (that's a personal opinion though, my dad loves shredded cheese on nachos). For my entree I ordered the ropa vieja and I absolutely loved it! It had excellent flavor, served with delicious black beans, plantains, and rice. The plantains were perfect in every way. The table had a nice selection of hot sauce so I added some of that to give the dish some heat. My boyfriend ordered the roast pork. He liked the flavor of his dish but said the pork didn't taste super fresh and he liked the ropa vieja better. We will definitely be back to get more ropa vieja and try the breakfast!

Every meal I have had here has been great. I recommend the brisket burrito, the jambalaya and the southwest linguini. The service is always super friendly and the management always comes by to ask how my meal was, even when I'm by myself. The atmosphere here is great.

Had a great meal and the service was great. Loved the Cuban toast that came with my omelette.

We've been coming here for years--have never once had bad food or service. This really is Hilliard's hidden gem in a sea of mediocrity.

I had a hard time deciding and finally ordered the Creole Sausage Bowl with half white rice and half spicy rice and it was not too hot to enjoy the immense flavor! I also ordered a side of Cheeseburger Eggroll*. I guess I seemed so excited and asked so many questions the chef ended up handing me a sample of the Bourbon Chicken, which was also amazing! I got there barely one hour until closing so they weren't extremely busy and it was quiet and pleasant even with a few other families. I like the location; great for people watching. Pretty loud and hard to hear, but that vibe is OK for a boil place to me. Only waited about 15 minutes. Two adults, two elementary kids. I like Lees of all the boil places because they have good options for non seafood people too. Both kids found wings, chicken fettuccini, etc. Started with the hushpuppies, about 12 smallish sized but a perfect starter for 4 people. Came with ketchup, I wish they would do a remoulade option. My wife and I split the duo (snow crab, shrimp) and I decided to add a LB of blue crab. Medium homemade juice sauce (always....it's sooo damn good). Snow crab was really good this time, snappy not bendy like some places. knuckles sweet and not overly briny. Perfectly cooked and came apart and out easily. Shrimp were just a tad overcooked but not much. Potatoes were perfect. We sub +1 tater for the egg. Corn is never good at these places. :) gotta do those fresh not frozen to get it right. The blue crab had good flavor. However, crazy overcooked which made getting meat out damn near impossible. Stringy instead of in chunks and stuck totally to the shell. I mostly gave up. My biggest complaint is they have ZERO typical utensils. No crackers/pickers/hammers/etc. I managed to cut myself trying to get into a snow crab large claw, and the lack of pickers made the blue crab impossible to eat. I'm bringing my own next time....serious. Finished with the fried oreos which were a perfect finish to the meal. 6 oreos for $6 was a great price.

Food was good, my only complaint was the amount of sauce, they held back on the sauce I could've boughten the extra sauce but wasn't looking for it to be drenched, but looking for alittle more love in the boil, especially since it was a lot of food and I had to take some home and reheat it. Other than that a great place, nice people good food!

The Drunken Chicken is a spicy stew made with shredded chicken, rosemary, garlic, crushed red pepper, beer and bread crumbs. It was full of flavor, nice and smooth.
