I was expecting maybe a dive bar (which actually would be OK) but no, Louie's Pub is a fine neighborhood tavern. It wasn't busy when we were there so maybe that adds to my rating (I'm not a fan of loud, crowded bars). Judging from the Yelp photos, Louie's can get that way though. - great sittable bar - varied seating elsewhere including high tops - reasonable drink prices - lots of TVs

We had an overnight trip and wanted to visit a place with good drinks and great prices. Louies Pub was the place we pick and had a great experience. Definitely a local bar and loved the ambiance there. We had the pleasure to meet the owner and he was very friendly and polite. Would definitely visit again next's time we are back in town. Thank you LOUIE!

Melissa is amazing! All of my drinks tasted like heaven and got me drunk faster than I could finish a sentence. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and the vibe was amazing. She made me feel at home and made the whole place feel cheery. Go Melissa and her amazing drinks! Ps. Melissa makeup is flossy

A great place to go and get away from the rich. This is a place that reminds you where you came from. Jackie the bartender was super friendly and fun. Customers friendly as well. I received a welcome shot, watermelon tasting.

We came here after seeing the Harley sign posted on the Yelp reviews. We took our Harley from Wisconsin to Arizona for a wedding and wanted to find cool biker dive bars in the area. I thought by the photos we'd have a great time. I was very wrong, not biker at all. Never even saw one Harley sign. It was a group of regulars watching football, and unfriendly bartender. Drink was literally a fruit purée with barely any alcohol I had to force myself to finish it so we could leave after one without seeming rude. No one checked on us, asked if we needed anything. Definitely could feel the "regulars only" type bar, anyone from out of town or not a regular feels a but uncomfortable like you just intruded on someone's party. Maybe it was just an off night, but for anyone thinking this is a Harley Davidson stop it is not at all.

The service is always great, the jukebox is excellent, and the atmosphere is exactly what I want in a neighborhood bar. I recently discovered that they also make some of the best micheladas in Tucson, which just made me love the place even more. The location is convenient, there's decent parking, and there's usually a food truck parked out front if you get hungry. The booths have this awesome 1950s restaurant feel that I really love. There are games on the eastern side of the bar, while the western side has TVs, so there's something for everyone. Personally, I love sitting at the bar. The service is always quick and friendly, and it just feels like the kind of place where you can settle in, have a drink, listen to some good music, and actually enjoy yourself. Danny's isn't trying to be fancy--and that's exactly why I love it. It's a genuine, laid-back Tucson bar with great people, great atmosphere, and damn good micheladas.

There isn't much about this neighborhood that I find appealing, but after hearing so, so many locals rave about this place I had to check it out! It is so, so divey without being gross. It is remarkably dim inside and feels like you're in someone's basement. There are tons of pool tables, and ample bar seating. Drinks are hella cheap and the patio is great for groups. Thursday-Saturday, you'll usually find a food truck parked out front. It's got everything you need to make it *the* destination for your weekend night plans!

I was a little nervous after having read the older reviews that were less than stellar. Then I realized that it was under new management so maybe it would be worth a visit. We had the good fortune of having Sara as our bartender. She was amazing! I am a very picky drinker, unlike most people who would be in a dive bar undoubtedly who would be happy with anything. I asked if she could make me something that didn't taste at all like alcohol and she stepped right up to make it happen! I like fruity stuff and the drink she pulled together fit the bill. I also had a Jell-O shot and a bag of Fritos. There's a (modern-day version of a) jukebox as well as an old phone booth in the corner which for whatever reason gave me great joy to see. There are also two pool tables. It's a small place so when it gets crowded I'm sure it's packed. We showed up at 5 p.m. on a Saturday night so it was still lightly attended which worked great for us to just hang out, drink, and chat. I'm glad we gave this place a try and would be happy to return. Check it out and see what you think!

That whole St. Philip's area always has a great energy, and UPH is a big part of that. There's usually a crowd, live music or sports on, and it feels like one of those places where you can bring friends from out of town and know it'll be a fun time. Food is consistently solid. The grilled chicken sandwich is my go-to and it's good every time. We both usually get one, and a lot of the time we'll add buffalo wings, which are some of our favorites in Tucson. Good flavor, good texture, and always reliable. If anything, the wings could always use a little more sauce, but they're still one of the better orders on the menu. The only real issue, and it happens pretty often, is the service speed. Everyone there is friendly, but the place always feels understaffed, especially when it's busy. We've had multiple times sitting outside in the Arizona heat where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get water to the table, and you start wondering if you should go up to the bar yourself to get things moving. Once service gets going everything is fine, but getting that first round of attention can take longer than it should for how often this place fills up. Even with that, we keep coming back. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great, and the plaza has a real sense of community that makes it easy to hang out there for a while. It's one of our go-to spots in Tucson, and it's still somewhere we bring friends when they're visiting.
