Mom and her caregiver went to Louis to get hotdogs. Whenever they went to the counter to pay the bill it was $20! The only ordered 2 hotdogs and NO SIDES, one drank tea and the other water. She questioned why it cost so much to the owner's girlfriend and was told it was correct. Stumbled upon this place while taking the bank deposit for my job, so made a mental note to go by after I left the bank. I had just missed the mad rush, but still was a nice crowd of folks and plenty folks came in after me so to me that's a good sign. I was greeted by a friendly lady at the front counter and was seated immediately. The menu says they serve breakfast until 12, but my waiter informed me they have switched to serving all day now, but once they run out of items for the day that's it, which I fully understand. I opted for lunch anyways and got the big Lou burger. It was quite tasty. Didn't take long for my food to come out either. And the food prices are just right for someone in a budget. Now that I know abt this place, I will certainly come back more often. Fair warning tho the parking lot is small and shared with all the businesses on the strip so parking can be a challenge if it's extremely busy. read more

Stumbled on this hidden gem and I have been hooked since guys. When it comes to the Breakfast Special for $6, you really cannot beat the value and large portions. I have not ventured to many other items on the menu but I love local mom and pop establishments, ESPECIALLY for breakfast. You get pancakes, eggs, your choice of protein, and grits/hashbrowns/potatoes. I also add blueberries to my flapjacks because I'm a blueberry gal. Period. They start serving breakfast at 6am so typically the earlier I go the better as far as seating, etc. The ladies are always friendly and I see why they have so many regular patrons. Nice folks with good service but the food is nothing great and the setting is a bit dated. You can tell this is a NASCAR themed restaurant with all of the race car hoods and sides mounted to the ceiling and walls and after all, it;s about one mile from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Pictures of Dale Earnhardt Sr adorn the walls and tables as well. Problem is the carpet needs to be replaced or at least cleaned, the vinyl seats in the booth we sat at was badly cracked as were all of them. In general in needs a good facelift. The staff is outstanding and we never wanted for anything. Walking in with the signs on the outside I thought I was entering a typical greek diner and at one time, may have been the case but very Americanized now. I ordered a Steak Sandwich which had very little taste or texture to it. My potato salad side on the other hand was pretty good. My wife had a Philly Cheese Steak which she described as good but not to the point she would order it again. Maybe it was an off day but nothing great to recommend from our visit today. read more

Wow! Delicious! This was my first time here and a place that a friend recommended. The fried squash is so yummy, thin, and well seasoned. It came out hot and crunchy. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the last 2 Saturday mornings that I've gone my hash browns have been awful and the fella's response when I told him was, "Oh must be because they're just cooking them so fast back there to keep up with the rush." This restaurant was bought in April of 2022 by one of the waitresses and a small group of other interested parties. The food is the same if not better than before, and the decor remains NASCAR focused, which is fun. I will go here anytime for breakfast or lunch. I visit this spot every couple of weeks. The staff is ultra friendly and the patrons are great, local, very friendly folks. It is one of the few old school diners left in the area, where you can get liver mush. I usually get a liver mush sandwich, add bacon, egg and cheese. My wife usually gets pancakes. It is all very good and served with a smile. They have lunch daily specials, but I have only been there early AM. I will have to try lunch sometime! read more

Thus far I've only been here for breakfast. It's been a couple visits and I'm a huge fan. My patronage has only been to go. They are very kind and patient when taking your order via phone. No issues with incorrect orders upon arrival. I can't call myself a regular yet but I noticed they call their customers by name. Customer Service is always better when you are personally acknowledged. Above all else the food tastes great. Much better flavor than that other larger Harrisburg restaurant that seems very popular.
