Today I decided to try a south west chicken burrito that has avocado. To my surprise when I opened the box, the avocado was visibly dark and black! I called and asked if they check the avocado before putting in the food, and the person that answered said she didn't do it, that's the cooks......there was a weird moment of silence when nothing was said so I said hello? She rudely yelled I AM STILL HERE! It took me by surprise how rude she responded and I asked so is there some type of solution she could offer me because I just felt like how could you even put this in someone's food and feel like it's ok? I understand whoever answered the phone did not assemble the damn burrito but if your going to answer the phone, you are now the face of the establishment and the very very minimum you could have done is offer a simple apology and ask to POLITELY bring it back so the matter could be resolved. Instead she literally started yelling over the phone with a disgusting attitude and getting defensive! At this point I was just shocked at how this person was acting so I hung up, because I felt like if this is how your going to act over the phone, I can only assume you'd be the one to spit in my food. NO THANK YOU! This behavior is not acceptable, and if your going to be in a customer service position, learn how to provide appropriate customer service in general because this could have easily been handled without being rude and nasty! I ordered a California omelette meal, which was changed to a build-your-own after adding chicken. I was charged $1.50 for sour cream and $3.00 something for decaf coffee, although I requested regular coffee. I asked for the sour cream to be removed since I didn't order it and was told it would be taken off. I also requested the coffee be removed because it was decaf and not what I asked for. The owner said both charges would be removed, but they remained on the bill. The food was not satisfactory, and staff were heard speaking negatively about us while we were still present. We visit occasionally. Service is always adequate and polite. Breakfast dishes are well prepared. One thing that takes off a star is the BLT. Hard to find a good BLT, but shouldn't be since it's straightforward. Their bacon is thick cut and tough as country ham, and overcooked as well. Lunch preparations are always fair to good. Dianna's is a big win for a small town. I highly recommend it. The coffee is phenomenal. It is Java Jeffs and is so smooth with no acidic taste. Everything we have eaten has been very good. They are always busy which should tell you something. The service is equally good. They are very attentive and the staff is friendly. The ambiance is a country feel but clean. Their ratings are high which is what I look for when I enter any restaurant. They are very reasonably priced especially for the amount of food they serve. This was our first Saturday lunch at D'Anna's as we just moved to the Midland area. My husband loved that breakfast is served all day on the weekends. I chose chicken tenders to share with our 4 year old. The homemade chicken tenders were perfectly breaded and tasted amazing! I love fresh cut fries and was pleasantly surprised that they went the extra mile to serve them versus frozen fries. The fried squash tasted a little sweet and was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. Good size portions. Really nice staff. Kinda loud at times but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Overall, it's great. Portions are absolutely appropriate too.

The food is beginning to be "just okay"; biscuits are excellent. Grits too salty. Coffee is getting more watery each time we go. Loud loud loud music coming from the kitchen, kinda "off putting" at times. But the VERY WORST was when our server, dropped our straws on the floor and promptly bent over, picked um up and without hesitation, put them on our table for our use. Sorry, Gross move. She was good at coming back to see if everything was good later but seriously; a real head scratcher for both me & my date. Just a thoughtless gross move. Sad. We have been a few times and are from Fl. We have been trying to find our breakfast spot and thought this was it, we even told other about this place but no longer. Today i brought some left over coffee from the house because i do not like the splenda they offer, we were sat and then like a school boy i was asked to bring my mug back to the car like a child that brought the wrong show and tell item to class. IF the manager would have come over and ask me about my mug i would have told her i didn't like Splenda and favored sweet n low and moving forward i guess i would just bring my own packets that would been ok, but no. our server had to make a ackward scene and for the cost of that and a cup of coffee Danna's has lost a life time customer. Been wanting to try this place for about 2 years and was totally disappointed. We went for breakfast on a weekend. First of all, the seating is crowded and uncomfortable. It was FREEZING because ONE waitress was hot and didn't care that all the patrons were frozen and it was making everyone's food and coffee cold quicker. The food was MEH. Only the eggs were good. The bacon was very greasy and sweet. The hash browns were somehow burnt AND cold and mushy in the middle and had zero flavor. My significant other said his omelette was not very good either. Solid little country diner located in the end cap of a tiny business strip. Expect fast and friendly service, piping hot food, all at very reasonable prices. My fried flounder lunch special came with two sides: I ordered the slaw and turnip greens. All was very good--not spectacular--and filled my tummy for the rest of the day. $8.95 is a great price for what I received. This place is a do-over for sure!
