Outstanding place. We are here for a show at Red Rocks. Staying at Courtyard by Marriott in Golden. It's a $12 Uber ride. So glad we came here. I had the country fried steak with 2 scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes. Everything was divine. Perfect portions. The hashbrowns were like fried potatoes...super yummy. The steak was covered with a delicious white gravy (not smothered). The eggs were cooked flat like a crepe, so they could be cooked through while maintaining their moisture. I've been making pancakes for decades; how do they do what they do? My wife had the French toast with bacon. She was also a member of the clean plate club. She had a double side of fresh strawberries. Everything was superb! I had coffee. It was delicious and I enjoyed refills. My lovely had hot tea with honey. They brought a tray with tea options. Our server, Nini, enthusiastically greeted us at the door. She was fantastic. Seriously, awesome! While just visiting, when we come back, we'll come back here in a minute. We spied Louis #3 completely by accident and decided to stop in. First, I'm sad that the previous Indian restaurant closed but glad to see another place taking up residence. Louis #3 feels very homey and reminded me of the place where you'd see working class folks show up on the regular. Staff were super friendly, checked on us often and were really nice. We arrived around 9 am on Mother's Day, of all days, and sat at their bar rather than wait on a booth. Lots of older folks dining with some younger families coming in, as we left. Despite being busy, our food came out pretty quickly and was tasty. I ordered the Eggs Benny and he had chicken fried steak and eggs combo. My Eggs Benny was tasty, drenched in their homemade hollandaise and my only disappointment was the English muffin was soggy with so much sauce. His chicken friend steak was really good and well seasoned. We'll def be back, when we're feeling the need for some comfort food ;) read more

Louis No. 3 We were looking for a Sunday morning brunch and found this spot in Lakewood, Colorado. They serve American and Mexican-inspired breakfast and lunch. Real comfort food and dishes like pancakes, eggs, burgers, sandwiches, skillets, chilaquiles and burritos. Toro pot - 8/10 Ground beef and hash brown wrapped in a flour tortilla then smothered with green chili and topped with cheese. The burrito was loaded with protein and sauced with the green chili with a nice touch of the fluffy rice. Louis - 8.5/10 This waitress recommended this dish and it was a hit. Seasoned steak with onion, green pepper, smothered with green chili, cheddar cheese and topped with 2 eggs. I loved the richness of the meat combined with the potatoes for the starch and the green chili heat but added Cholula hot sauce to take it to the next level. Love that the employees at the restaurant are so close. The service was great and we enjoyed our meals. Happened to be in the area and was looking for a place for breakfast. Picked this place based on the reviews (even though there weren't many, but it's also a newer place) and I didn't realize it was a "Mexican Breakfast/Brunch" place until I pulled in. Man, how fortunate am I that I picked it! The Mexican skillet with chorizo, potatoes, green chili... Wow! Honestly, the best breakfast skillet that I've ever had! Eggs were cooked just the way I wanted, everything was delicious and the thing I appreciated most- I didn't even have to think about grabbing the hot sauce! The food was AMAZING! Especially for such an affordable price. I think it was about $15 for a plate of french toast with a side of meat, eggs, and hash browns. All of it was fantastic! Also, the ambiance is adorable with a great little diner feel to it. There were servers coming past to check up on the food quality and our needs every five to ten minutes. I stopped in for a straightforward meal and asked for a small side of sour cream. What arrived was a one-ounce to-go ramekin--nothing more--and I later discovered a $1.50 charge for it on the bill. A dollar-fifty for a single ounce, presented without warning, feels needlessly opaque and rather petty. It detracted from an otherwise decent meal and left me questioning the broader approach to customer care. A simple, upfront note--or a brief verbal heads-up--would resolve the issue entirely and raise the experience to the standard one expects. Nice to have a new breakfast option nearby. I've been twice, and the service has been eggcellent. The dining area is clean and bright, with a generous number of booths. They treat solo diners well, never steering me to the bar or some little two-top next to the kitchen or entrance door. :-) I only order the simple meal, which is eggs, home potatoes, and choice of meat. The ham was a nice-sized portion. Glad to have them in the neighborhood! I reserve five stars for truly amazing places, but I'd definitely recommend this place for a good breakfast and nice experience. read more

We had a couple of omelets and a waffle. Everything was good, and solid portions for the price. Really loved the hash browns and I heard the waffle was good. The omelette was meh. Service had its hits and misses. Everyone was warm and friendly, but I think they needed an extra body to get to the tables. We had to go ask for the receipt. I have been there 3 times before writing this review, I wanted to get it right. This morning I had the breakfast special which was a Machaca Omelette and it was OUTSTANDING! I should have taken pictures but I was too busy eating. During previous visits I had breakfast items and they were also very good. Their green chili is very good. The HOT sauce in the squeeze bottle that they make is very good and it will get your attention, exercise caution. The wait staff have always been attentive without smothering. They have been great. The dining area has had a makeover since this place was previously an Indian restaurant and a steakhouse. It looks nice and is very clean. The restrooms were spotless. It's not the restaurants fault but the parking lot has always been very difficult to access, especially from northbound Union. I hope they can overcome this problem and be successful, or get the landlord to do something to help. A sign showing customers where the entrance is may be helpful. read more

The building is set back from the road.. don't miss it! Just finished a medical appointment and ready for lunch. Got in before the rush.. just sat down and had our menus, got our beverages and ordered. Worth trying if you're in the area! Parking lot looks a little rough as it's where the old Lone Star used to be but food is delicious! Great huevos, delicious crispy french toast, cinnamon french toast is great (it's sweet and made of actual cinnamon rolls), and highly recommend getting a side of green chili and spooning it over the potatoes. We weren't expecting much but it ended up being really great! I wish I would have taken pictures of the food to show as it was plated well. read more

Amazing brunch spot! The food was fantastic and the portions were very generous. My husband and wife split the breakfast burrito and loved it. The chili it was smothered in was perfectly spicy and the potatoes were crisp and delicious. Our son had a breakfast skillet topped with the same amazing chili. It was a huge portion and came with perfectly fluffy pancakes. The service was quick and very friendly. All in all we loved this comfortable and friendly place! The pancakes were great as well-light and fluffy. We came another day for lunch and had a fajita burrito and a chicken fried steak skillet as well as queso and chips. Once again, it was all so good. We read the reviews & since it was a new business wanted to try it out. We are from out of town. The food was great, the waitress couldn't have been more friendly & helpful, thereby the service was also excellent. It is a little hard to get to if you're having to cross the busy road, but worth it and I hope the business continues to thrive. Pay them a visit!
