The restaurant/food/servers/bartenders get a solid 5-Stars The manager, DAMON, may be one of the…read moreworst managers I've ever experienced. First, my pre-requisites for saying so: I've been with a high-end hotel company/restaurants for 15+ years. Nothing shocks me anymore. But I also know and have witnessed proper decorum as a manager. DAMON needs re-training and/or a new career all together. What happened: I vape, just nicotine. It's kind of second nature, and I do catch myself doing it when I'm not supposed to, and usually catch myself, however, I did not today. So the fact that I did vape when I wasn't suppose to is a 1000% on me. However, his "scolding" he gave me, triggered a trauma response. The way and how he said "DO NOT VAPE," sent chills. My immediate response was "I'm, sorry, sir." I'm aware, this sounds dramatic. But it's true. I'm a tough cookie, and definitely not a sensitive snowflake. My biggest issue though, is he's working with 90% women, scantily clad, at that! I can't be the only woman whom has stepped foot in that place that has felt utterly creeped out and offended by his demeanor. Regardless of my female feelings, that is NO WAY, to speak to a paying guest. EVER. PERIOD. We will still come back, as we are moving to Lakewood from out of state, and hope for the sake of all the beautiful, talented women there, that he is not there when we come back!!

Would be a GREAT place to have appetizers and drinks before a bachelor party. Waitresses were all friendly and efficient and scantily clad, and that's the "appeal". Food was very mediocre. Chicken in the chicken cob had a variety of temperatures from stone cold to very warm. It was also saturated in dressing. Maybe 1/4 of the amount of dressing would have been sufficient. On the plus side the presentation was good. My companion had quesabirria tacos which were very greasy and overdone. On the plus side she said 1/2 of one of the three tacos was sufficient. Chips and salsa appetizer was pretty good. The salsa has a good flavor and the chips were fresh. Sweet tea was good. Here's the takeaway: if you're looking for a fine dining experience I would skip it. If you're out for a night on the town with the boys and drinks you're in luck! The staff were all efficient and the restaurant was clean and comfortable enough. I suppose if the choice were Twin Peaks or Hooters it would be a toss up. They also never went back to a printed menu after co vid, and, to me, that's annoying. You have a printed bar menu but not a food menu? We won't return, just not what I prefer for a $50 lunch ticket.

To paint the picture: my complexion was one step away from powder, two shakes from Death Becomes Her, and hanging on by a thread. Meanwhile, the lunch crowd was absolutely booming. The room was shaking. Every table full. Servers moving at warp speed. The room had the energy of the stock exchange mixed with a feeding frenzy. It was chaos. Enter our waiter, Christian. Knowing my blood sugar was somewhere near sea level, we immediately ordered drinks and a heavy carb appetizer. Now, I don't know if he sensed weakness. Maybe my soul had already begun leaving my body and he caught it in the corner of his eye. Whatever happened, this man immediately understood the assignment. Friends. The drinks arrived so fast I genuinely wondered if I had blacked out and missed part of reality. I drained mine like I'd spent a week wandering the Mojave Desert with nothing but bad decisions and hope. Before I could even contemplate my next move, Christian appeared at my side holding another. No interruption. No, would you like another? No judgment. Just pure, silent efficiency. Like a beverage ninja. Like a hydration angel. Like if Batman's parents had been restaurant managers. I was stunned. I just... BRAVO. As the meal progressed, color slowly returned to my face. Organs restarted. Vision improved. I regained the ability to form coherent thoughts. By the time the appetizer arrived, I was no longer seeing the ancestors beckoning from the distance. Now, the food. Sliders: Bigger than expected for sliders and genuinely delicious. Served with fries, and honestly? This is a full meal. Not "tiny burger appetizer" energy. This is , I have eaten and now I am satisfied with my life choices, energy. Whiskey Glazed Salmon (me) : Absolutely criminal how good this was. Sweet, sticky, perfectly glazed, and paired with fire-roasted vegetables and Parmesan mashed potatoes that deserve their own fan club. I considered guarding my plate with my elbows and hissing at nearby tables. Classic Burger: My ever-predictable companion ordered the classic burger. It was excellent. Her only complaint was that it was too large. Perhaps next time they can cut it into manageable princess portions. She's a dainty creature and apparently prefers to finish a burger without wearing half of it on her chin. We all have our journeys. Verdict: The food gets 5 stars without question. But the real standout was the service. I'd give this place 6 stars for Christian alone. I was not my usual fabulous self that day. I looked rough. The man noticed, and despite a packed dining room, he paid attention and cared. That's not something you can train into people. You can't buy that kind of service. Yard House, protect that man at all costs. Give him a raise. Clone him. Study him in a laboratory. Whatever you're doing, do not let him escape.

Seated immediately which is a plus & surprising on a Saturday afternoon - so a great start! We ordered our usual fries to start & the garlic chili edamame sooo good!! I would've been fine just eating that edamame it was delicious!! For our entrees we had the pork chop & I ordered the steak noodles. Hubby's pork chop was amazing we added a side of mashed potato's as it needed a starch My noodles came out and the taste was off - steak was the right consistency & tender, very generous portion - it just wasn't the right taste it should've been an umami, garlic soy flavor & this was a very sweet sticky sauce - I asked to send it back & they did. Ended up with a beef bowl & it was better. I think I'll stick with the apps.

Apparently, this is a customer favorite special that earned its place on the regular menu... but they still run out. Consider yourself warned. He ordered a half portion and received the last one they had prepped for that day. I only got to try a small bite, but agreed that it was an explosion of flavor and amazing if you're looking for a sweet breakfast. I enjoyed the coffee and the spicy sausages that were the centerpiece of my order. I wasn't as much of a fan of the plain biscuits and gravy that I selected for my side, but the eggs and potatoes were well done. Our waitress kept my coffee cup full and checked on us frequently. I'll definitely be back again, maybe earlier so that I can also get the French toast! (BTW, the half order was plenty of food for one person.)
