I cannot say enough great things about Emily! After considering HollyFlora and a couple other top florists for my wedding, I decided to hire Emily for several reasons. Not only is she an incredible designer, but Emily has a lot of qualities that other artists in this industry don't: she's reliable, timely, super nice, and most importantly, she listens to you to figure out exactly what you want. She has her own visions and ideas that she can articulate well, but she also makes sure that she's on the same page as you and isn't running off with a vision that you aren't sharing. She genuinely wanted to make my wedding everything I imagined it would be, and she did just that. Emily was also really flexible and considerate about sticking to our budget. We changed our minds several times, and she was always happy to modify the plan. And she helped me think of ways to make everything look beautiful without bumping up the cost - so doing things like using a cheaper fabric for our chuppah, recycling aisle decor and using it in the cocktail hour/reception (that may sound tacky but she did it in a way where you couldn't tell at all, just using pieces here and there), and being strategic about where to put the tall centerpieces (more expensive than low ones) so that they really brightened up the room without us needing to include too many. She essentially gave us the most glamorous, spectacular wedding without breaking the bank. Emily is also really creative and just knows how to adjust minor details to make things look beautiful. She's absolutely an artist. I interviewed some of the top florists in L.A. and I can tell you that Emily is hands down the best out there. She's as creative as the others but more reliable, nicer, more considerate of budgetary restrictions, and incredibly patient. I was so picky about every little detail, and she took her time with me to make sure everything would be perfect. I never once felt rushed or like I was annoying her (and I was annoying everyone else around me with how perfectionistic I was being, so that says a lot). Emily also has connections with a group that rents out furniture, as well as a lighting company. I didn't need rentals but I did use her lighting guy, who I loved, and he gave us a great price. If you're even considering going with Emily for any event, I would say do it. As a first-time bride who never dreamt of her wedding day, I needed a lot of direction in creating the theme, tone and atmosphere of my wedding. Emily came to me through the referral of my wedding planner. Upon the first five minutes of our initial meeting, I knew she was the perfect choice for me. Sensing my lack of direction, she began to ask very thoughtful questions to better help me articulate my thoughts and ideas into a theme. I was particularly impressed with her use of sample boards for each aspect of the wedding, (i.e. bridal bouquet, centerpieces, M.O.H. bouquet). These boards were very detailed, including color swatches, pictures, different layouts-essentially every detail regarding every visual aspect of the wedding. Her attention to detail remained throughout the entire process. Emily is a true artist whose vision extends beyond individual flower arrangements. The entire venue is her canvas. For example, our sample meeting was held at our reception ballroom. Not only did she set a complete table , she brought the linens we were considering for the sweetheart and side tables so we could visualize the set up of the entire room to help us finalize our color selection. She even came prepared with other ideas to enhance the tables and further punctuate the atmosphere of the room. It was her participation in every detail that allowed for our guests to have a seamless experience from the Chapel to the ballroom. Not only is Emily very personable, but she is very accessible. Through phone conversations, emails or text messages, she answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. On the recommendation of my wedding planners, I contacted the lovely Emily at Louise Georges Yves about doing the florals for our wedding ceremony and reception at Bel-Air Bay Club in the Palisades. I already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for each floral aspect of the wedding, so I provided Emily with some Pinterest images and from there, she hit the ground running. I was impressed with Emily's initial proposal because it not only captured exactly what I had envisioned in both words and pictures, but it was also on point budget-wise. In fact, Emily was very good about keeping things within the budget we had discussed the entire time we worked with her. We ended up adding in some additional elements during the planning process and Emily was always willing to work with me on cost and find ways to scale things up or down depending on how much we wanted to spend on any given item, while still being realistic about what the costs would be to ensure I would be happy with the final product. I had some images of gorgeous coral peonies that I dreamed of having at our wedding. But with our wedding being in November, I knew before I even talked to Emily that peonies would be out of season, so I had resigned myself to the idea of using a peony substitute, like a garden rose. Emily came up with some beautiful alternatives to the peonies and when I saw a sample of our table centerpieces at the floral preview, they were so beautiful and popping with color from gorgeous coral roses that Emily incorporated, I honestly didn't even miss the peonies. Yet miracle of miracles, the day before the wedding I was running some last-minute errands and suddenly received an unexpected email from Emily informing me that the flower fairies had smiled upon us and she somehow got ahold of a bunch of the coral peonies I had been dreaming of and would be using them in our florals. Honestly, I know it sounds absurd, but I almost cried when I read it. Never in a million years did I expect to have coral peonies at my November wedding, but BOOM, just like that Emily made it happen and with no additional cost or last-minute charge. Needless to say, when I saw the flowers on my wedding day, my breath was absolutely taken away. My bouquet looked exactly like the inspiration image I had shared with Emily, yet 10 times as beautiful. The bridesmaids' bouquets were breathtaking, with ribbon ties that matched their dress colors PERFECTLY. The centerpieces were so gorgeous and our guests were thrilled they got to take them home at the end of the night. Countless people commented on the drop-dead gorgeous florals at the wedding and I have Emily to thank for it all. Perhaps most importantly, Emily is really great at transforming small ideas you might have into gorgeous realities. Though I knew what I wanted for the most part, there were some things I had ideas about but didn't know exactly how to execute them. For example, it was really important to me to honor my late father at our wedding with a memory table of some kind, but I struggled with how to do this without making it too depressing.
