    10 pc shrimp

My other half wanted some fried chicken yesterday, so we decided to try this place. I've known about this chain for years, but never tried it, as we don't have it on Maui. Due to all of the social distancing orders that have come from COVID-19, we opted for Uber Eats delivery. While waiting for our order, the restaurant was nice enough to call and let us know they ran out of macaroni and cheese and was going to provide French fries and onion rings instead. However, I was not there to pick up the call and it went to voicemail. It turns out the cook must've whipped more mac and cheese up, as it still came with my order and no fries or rings were included. In terms of sides, the macaroni was very creamy and tasty. The sauce was a little loose though, like some grocery stores' deli style mac and cheese. So if that's not you're thing, then don't get it. I like almost all kinds of mac though, so it was fine. The mashed potatoes and gravy were great. I would get a large order of that next time. It had a lot of flavor and the gravy was better than most fast food gravies I've had - flavorful and somewhat homemade tasting. The biscuits were nice and fluffy - great with butter (which was not included). They were a sweet relief from the brick hard biscuits I had from Shoney's recently. Although, they tend to gum up your mouth quick like most biscuits will, so have that drink ready lol. The red beans and rice was a nice side. I haven't had any in a long time, and used to order that from Popeye's all the time. I thought it had good flavor. Having tried that, I would like to see how their gumbo is next time... When it comes to the main entrees, the fried shrimp was my favorite - cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I didn't even need any sauce with it. I would order that again. The chicken, the main event, was seasoned properly. Although, I feel like there's a fine line between juicy and greasy. For me, I feel like it landed more on the greasy side. I guess at least it wasn't dry, and I'll give it the benefit of the doubt as it was all dark meat. However, my fiance used to work at a chicken shop, and I don't recall their thighs ever being that greasy. I'm just not a fan of it when there's too much grease spilling out. I used to have GERD, and it wasn't just the acidic foods that got to me, but the greasy ones as well. I think next time I'll stick with the shrimp or try their breast meat (either bone-in or tenders). I think overall it was a decent meal, but it seemed very overpriced when ordering through Uber Eats. We did order a lot, but with all the fees and tip it amounted to $54. I think it's one of those places I'd definitely feel better about ordering take out from that I can pick up myself to avoid all the extra costs. (Just not as worth it for that price).

Went to order Friday night dinner and the cook was cleaning the floor and scrubing a bin in the kitchen...right after I paid for my food she begin to use the same gloves to pick up the food to put in the deep fryer. I instantly asked for a refund and the cashier asked why, I told him because your cook did not change her gloves from cleaning. The dirty gloves that she is cleaning with is the same gloves she is cooking with. He yelled her name and in a nonchalant way in his language, i guess he told her to wash her hands and she yellled oh oh really ok. I will not be eating here again SMH

    a box of fried chicken

Picked up some mixed fried chicken wings and thighs from here. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and I was able to tell how busy it was because employees were hustling and packing so many boxes. The chicken came in a cute box with enough air ventilation so that the chicken stayed crispy even after a 19 minute car ride! It came with many packets of hot sauce. Seasoning is great and flavorful. Can't wait to pick up some more next time. This is the first time I had Halal fried chicken (besides home cooked) so I was hyped!

I like the Mantu as well, but tbh, had much better mantu elsewhere. The highlight is the pillow. Just go there! Ambiance wise - very family friendly. The cucumber salad was refreshing, and was a nice addition. The green chutney sauce was alright, but a little watery in texture. We had to eat quickly due to scheduling constraints, but they were quick with providing takeout boxes, and sauce cups to take home with our leftovers. Overall, a solid place to get some great Afghan food.

My partner and I came in around roughly 9:50-10pm. When we arrived we're were initially informed that we had to order soon because they were closing in 30 minutes and were understandings of that. Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. Mind you the restaurant closed within 20 minutes at this point. When our food did come out, it did contain PORK!!! We just left shortly afterwards and left the food on the table.

I was absolutely obsessed with the smell of this restaurant before I even went in! I appreciated them, giving us two grills, and the staff actually cook the meat for you. I wish I was sitting more towards the left grill because whoever cooked the pork belly on that side made sure the flame was hot enough and it cooked the pork thoroughly while also making it crispy on the outside. In front of me, the griller did not make the heat high enough so it took a while for the pork to be fully cooked. She told us it was done and it was still kind of chewy so I kept swapping back-and-forth from the left grill onto this one. That's the only reason why I gave it a four instead of a five out of five was because I did not like the way they cooked part of our pork. It was so chewy the fat was not cooked at all, but it was an easy fix. I just had to cook it longer on the other grill but again we shared two grills between eight people so 1/2 of our group got to eat more than us. I like how the pork doesn't have a really strong, pork smell, and it tasted very good like it was seasoned properly. I absolutely love the kimchi! I love how this restaurant stays open pretty late so we can enjoy eating and drinking. It's such a nice casual place to hang out. For dessert, we had kimchi fried rice haha. It was such a great night!

There are plenty of parking, but you are driving from the east side there is no left-hand turn into the parking structure. --Ambience-- Think of a California or old school 80s burger joint updated with new colors. Great vibe does not feel cheap or expensive. The only negative is In the hallway going to the back, they had cases of drinks all over the hallway, which I assume leads to the bathroom. --Service/Staff-- I must give a shout out to Daniel for helping me with the check in and recommendations on the sauces for the platter. I spoke to Daniel over the phone to call in a pick-up, but since the food is made fresh in front of you there was not necessary to call in ahead. --Food/Products-- I ordered two platters consisting of lamb and Kofta kabob over rice and a side order of falafel. My favorite was still my go to which is the lamb and rice. The mixture of the hummus, salad and lamb reminded me of a gyro on plate. I guess that is why they call it platter. Tip, I HIGHLY recommend the white sauce. I ordered it on the sauce, because I don't like my food soggy when I go to eat it. The green sauce is also good, I think it was the Green Chili Chutney. I don't recommend the red hot, which I believe is the hot sauce, because it overpowers the flavor of the lamb and kofta --Capacity-- Plenty of space and I came in on a Monday at 6pmish and there is only one person ahead of me. --Overall-- If you love gyro and a piece of New York, this is the place to go. I will be back to try their Chicken gyro and lamb gyros. I am eye-balling their white sauce in a bottle.

It's uncommon to find Indian pizzas in Atlanta (ones that do it good at least) so this place was a treat. We've ordered numerous times - all pickup/takeout orders only. While they do have a decent sized restaurant and seating area, we've just found it more convenient to pick up our pizzas while we are close by. You have two choices of pizza sizes - small (personal) and large (this is the shareable option). If you are hungry and only eating a pizza this is a good size for 2. You can also opt for a pan pizza or a thin crust (which IMO is more like a regular crust). I've tried almost all their flavors - tikka, garlic, 65, chilli, butter and they all are yum. I always end up adding bell peppers, onions and cilantro on mine to give it that extra flavor boost (things that go perfectly well with Indian cooking). You can add up to 3 vegetable toppings for free and pay a nominal charge to add more. You also can select your protein - chicken, shrimp, or keep it simple with paneer. They do have a lot of other food options on their menu but I've yet to try, so this review is almost exclusively for their pizzas. Their staff is nice and polite, and there is plenty of parking outside. On occasions, I've found their pizza to have spend a little more time in the oven making the toppings a little hard, but still plenty tasty! I recommend their Indian pizza - you can't go wrong!
