First time at this venue, I guess is fairly new not enough info out there, I had to research it and…read morestill didn't have all the info! When we purchase the tickets we weren't clear if we had seat or if it was general admission, so we brought our chairs, turns out we did had seats assigned and they also have general admission and in there you can use your chairs. They make you park at Lot D and is a mile walk to the venue, it was $20 cash; there's a dropped off area right in-front the venue , the venue itself is connected to a restaurant and a mini golf , there's a mall across the street. Security wasn't all that (they were nice tho) you can bring a medium or small size bags (however is up to them to decide which size it's appropriate to bring in to the venue) you can also bring sealed water bottles or an empty PLASTIC Bottle, no hydroflask or anything of that kind. They sale food such as bbq ribs & drinks. The concert itself was amazing, very intimate, the speakers were clear.

This venue is right behind Rock n' Brews by Cal Expo. It's essentially a parking lot with a stage…read more There are no indoor bathrooms, only porta potties. They have a few food trucks on site and a couple of bars. There is a VIP area, it's referred to as "the hill" because it's slightly elevated so you should be able to see over the crowd. Parking is $20 (bring cash) and you enter through Gate D at Cal Expo, if the parking lot in front of Rock n' Brews isn't full they have you park there. The two times I went I was there early so I was able to park close. Try to avoid going to a concert during or after the State Fair. The Backyard is near the stables where they keep the livestock during the fair, which means there are a LOT of flies when the fair is going on. I've only been to two daytime shows (Sad Summer and Summer School Tour) so I can't say what it's like to to go a regular nighttime concert. The shows I went to were standing room only, and they were on very hot days. I will say the venue did an excellent job keeping everyone cool and hydrated. For Sad Summer it was over 110 degrees, they had setup a white tent, had misters, plenty of free water and a few large trash cans filled with water so you could wet a cooling rag (they also provided new towels for those who didn't bring one). They let you bring in one empty water bottle or a sealed one. You were allowed to bring in sunscreen, but it had to be lotion, it couldn't be aerosol. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's definitely not my favorite venue but it is new, so there may be some improvements.

Radio Gatsby absolutely crushed it at our wedding and we are still talking about it!…read more We had a solo pianist for the ceremony, a quartet during cocktail hour, and a full band for dinner and dancing. Every part of the day had its own perfect vibe and they nailed all of it. They played every song we wanted and steered completely clear of the ones we didn't, which honestly meant so much to us. Our guests would not stop raving about the music all night and weeks after! We loved every second of it. The dance floor was full from start to finish. If you are looking for musicians who will genuinely make your day feel like YOUR day, book Radio Gatsby. You will not regret it!

And then when the band started playing during the dinner, it was clear that they would make the night. People were dancing even before the dinner ended and the dance party began. Radio Gatsby brought so much energy with their renditions of the songs we chose; the floor was crowded with dancers all night as they played banger after banger. They took great solos, sang beautiful vocals, and made every moment special, from the first dance to the hora to the last song. It was well worth the extra expense of having a live band instead of a DJ, no question about it!

This place was soooo nice!…read more As someone who enjoys exploring spirituality, energy cleansing, and metaphysical practices, I was genuinely impressed from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere was peaceful, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. The selection was incredible. Whether you're just getting started or have been practicing for years, there's something here for everyone. I also appreciated the wide range of prices. You can leave with an $8 bracelet or splurge on a stunning $1,500 amethyst bonsai tree. No matter your budget, you'll find something meaningful. The staff really stood out. Everyone greeted customers as they walked in, and it was obvious they genuinely enjoy what they do. One of my favorite moments was overhearing a manager encouraging and uplifting the staff with so much positivity. It made perfect sense why everyone seemed so happy and welcoming. And let's not forget the tarot card reader in the back! It was such a unique touch and added even more to the experience. Whether you're shopping for crystals, gifts, spiritual tools, or simply want to browse, this is absolutely a place worth visiting. I'll definitely be back soon!

My friend and I could not believe the selections. I bought a quart crystal and a tiger's eye pendant; each came with a little card explaining It's use. They were safely packaged and placed in a very cute bag. We didn't have much time to spare today. So I definitely want to come back and bring my granddaughter. Staff was very helpful. Everything was quite affordable. Rock Mama holds Many different types of classes, Tarot readings, Aura readings, and More. They have handouts about the classes in the store or you can check them out online. I was very impressed and I can't wait to go back. Thank you Rock Mama for inspiring me today.
