When our food arrived the runner didn't bring any condiments for the food. We also didn't have napkins or silverware. I could not find our waiter and after watching 5 employees on their phones in the server station, I finally went and asked the hostess for help. The server never checked back with us. The pork sandwich special I ordered was very bland and I had to ask for more sauce because there wasn't hardly any on there. We ordered tiramisu, which came in a plastic to go container, was clearly old. It was soupy and soggy. It was extremely slow and service and food took too long. This place was next door to the Alton Inn we were staying at, and due to the convienence we dropped in the first night. First, the decor is somewhat of a modern chic, very clean, and cozy. Our server was outstanding and friendly. The food was delicious - he had the Chicken Caesar Salad which he raved about, and I had the Ahi Tuna which was the perfect portion, great dressing, and the Tuna was perfect. We liked it SO much we came back the following night! He liked his dish so much, he ordered the exact same thing! I had the prime rib melt (with salad instead of fries). I will say - ordering the side salad was a great idea - the roasted chickpeas really made it more than just a side salad and the meals were both outstanding. My daughter had the pesto pasta which she liked and my son-in-law had the very consistent weiner schnitzel . The worst food I've ever had! My husband and I went out for dinner for our first anniversary tonight. When you walk in it was very unwelcoming. Well I know that it's measured before cook weight but man this steak must've lost some serious amount of weight when I cooked it because it was maybe 8 ounces. His two had to get sent back it was raw when he asked for a medium. I think it was the owner that came back out with his food and asked how it was and he said it was fine now but still a little pink for my liking. That man said oh it was because of where you cut into the meat it never gets cooked as much there as it does in the middle. However the metal was even more undone. Arrived at 215, was sat at a table for 4 and there was 5 of us, they offered us a chair for the end of this very small table. We asked for a bigger table and it seemed as though it was an inconvenience. We finally got a bigger table. We were not told they do not serve part of their menu until after 4pm and it's not on the menu either. When we finally were ready to order, we were told my son couldn't have steak because it was too early and they don't serve that until after 4pm. Seems like steak is something that can just be thrown on the grill doesn't need any prep but they wouldn't do it. We ended up paying for our drinks and left.
