They served generous boneless chicken breasts, juicy pork loin, green beans, baked red potatoes, and a most delightful coleslaw. For dessert, you had a choice (or you could have both) of a slice of white cake with lemon buttercream frosting, or rich, warm, bread pudding topped with a warm Whiskey sauce. In short, it was really great food served hot and savory. One last thing, they held off on their clean up, until our club meeting was over, a very professional crew. We had multiple meetings and interactions with Morgan and Ruby. We were impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We did a formal sit down dinner with cocktail hour prior. We also hired them to cook our late night food. Of all the vendors we hired we were not worried about Vestals delivering everything they promised. Sadly the night of the wedding was a completely different story. The service was extremely slow and chaotic. My guests were left wondering if they would ever get dinner and it made our wedding time line run way behind. The tables were not bused and the bartenders had to start grabbing glasses off tables since Vestals was not doing it. Waters were not refilled and it was an overall scene we never ever expected. Lastly they didn't cut the grooms cake and left it sitting on the cake table. I give them 2 stars because the food was good but honestly the service was less than 1 star. I warn other Austin brides that they will promise everything but deliver a different experience.

I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks.
