The staff there was very professional and knowledgeable. It was my first time with them, so I was a bit nervous. My friend asked me to go there. When I reached there, they made me comfortable in every way. They asked me a few general question regarding any skin diseases or if I am allergic to something. One of their workers takes me inside. Their worker Lana, who did my waxing, was very nice and courteous. I always get scared before waxing, but Lana made me feel relaxed and was friendly throughout the session. I often get allergies after waxing, but this time, everything was perfect. Lana applied some soothing lotion after hair removal. I am impressed by their services and will definitely go there.

There was nothing spa-like about the establishment physically or when it came to service. I came here for a Brazilian and took advantage of a special they were having at the time. When I arrived there was only one woman (Lana) working and while the place only had 3 clients at the time, including myself, she was rushing around attempting to service everyone. She was nice, but again due to her wearing many hats and manning the 'spa' alone, the chaotic energy did not lend it self to a zen environment. I wasn't much in a rush since it was my day off, but what made it even worse/a never patroning again moment for me was how unsanitary the experience was. There was a woman before me who also received a vaginal wax. I only knew this because I told her I was here for one and she mentioned she just had one and it was painless and I will get used to it. Lana took her payment and told me to go in and lay down, disrobe and she would be in a moment. The tissue paper on the waxing table hadn't been changed and there were a few rogue pubic hairs on them. I changed the tissue paper myself as it was clear that she wasn't going to as she ran to tell a gentleman that had come in for a pedicure that she would be 10 mins. She didn't attempt to change the paper and didn't ask me if i had as I was laying waiting on the table. I have a high pain tolerance so I agree it was not as painful and Lana was quick. Unfortunately, the salon was understaffed that day but it is giving factory energy and clients are cattle. There is no aftercare given (aloe, anything) or followup/maintenance tips provided. Far from a relaxing experience. No plans on returning.

I called the salon back a day later (bc they were closed) to get the lashes fixed. I requested another person. She removed most of the lashes but couldn't remove all of them and "fixed" my lashes. It's been 2 weeks and my lashes are starting to grow out and these lashes are falling out in clumps. Taking off a lot of my natural lashes. The salon said that there was "miscommunication" between me and my eyelash lady. I simply asked for a cat eye share and 11mm-15mm length lashes. I don't know what she did. It wasn't a cat eye shape, nor did it look good. She put the longest lengths in the middle of my eye. There was so much glue and the lashes were put it very messy. They were hurting my eyes. You can see in the pictures. I'm not sure who did my lashes first. I'm not going to drop any names. However, no customer should have to deal with this. I spent 2 hours the first time getting it done, then went back, got most of the lashes removed, & spent another 3 hours getting them to look decent. Waste of time and money.

Though the site showed that they had no availability on this date I called and was able to be fit in that same day. The receptionist mentioned that my esthetician Rebecca had a language barrier, but she and I got on perfectly fine during my hour long service. She started with cleansing and steaming my face, then got to work using the microdermabrasion and hydration tools which felt like a small suction running up and down my face. I'd never had any type of dermabrasion done to my face before and was a little nervous about how uncomfortable it would feel, but the facial was virtually painless. My skin was feeling a little hot after the treatment, but luckily the next step was a cooling facial mask that smelled kind of like eucalyptus. Rebecca massaged my arms and neck while I had this on, which was my favorite part of the facial. She applied some cream as a finish at the end, and when I looked at my face again my skin looked notably less dull. My blackheads were no longer so visible, and even my pores seemed tighter. This facial was on the pricier side, but I was happy to learn that they have more inexpensive options like the glow and go facial - just $65. The spa itself is beautiful and brand new. It's a relaxing atmosphere which is hard to cultivate when you're stepping in off busy Steinway street. I will absolutely be back.

So here goes the reasons why I will NEVER return to this place: 1. Groupon said it was 90 minutes deep-clean hydration facial and 60 minutes massage combo- the facialist (who's nice by the way) barely cleaned my face and the mask they use are "pre-packaged paper masks", yes, the kind you can just buy from any store. She claims it is very good and they've been using it for years, but as an experienced spa-goer, I could tell it was not as good as she claims to be. Also, my facial was barely 60 minutes, nowhere near 90 as it claimed. 2. We made the appointment 2 weeks ago, and we made it clear that it would be FOUR girls going in at the same time. At the time of reservation, the receptionist even told us they will have to split us up into two groups (one group facial first and the other massage) because they don't have the capacity to accommodate us all for one service at the same time. Upon arrival, we were notified that there were only 3 employees working that day, so ONE facialist did two facials at the same time. 3. The massage was horrible, the hot stone massage was basically having the lady rubbing hot stone all over my body and that was it. (I've had hot stone massage in the past and this is NOT how it's done). My room was very drafty, to the point I was freezing and had to asked her to bring my extra towels twice. Also, the lady left my door wide open while she was giving me my massage (I was only covered with a towel...). Anyone who walks past my room can have a full view of me on the massage chair... 4. During the first hour, the kids of one of the employees were running around inside the store and kept knocking on the door looking for his mother. They were also making lots of noises by running around. It made it very hard to relax. 5. During my friend's massage, her masseuse kept answering phone calls. 6. When I gave the reception lady $15 tips and said $10 for masseuse and $5 for facialist (because I really didn't think the Facialist did any work on me). The reception lady told me the general policy is that each person gets $10 tips. I didn't feel like arguing because I was in a rush, so I gave it to her. Bottom line: This place is rude, unprofessional. (everyone was dissatisfied with our services). It may look like a spa but none of the employees have real knowledge of how to perform each service accurately. The experience was so bad it prompted me to register an Yelp account and write my first review EVER. I hope my experience will save lots of people trouble from having to go through this sufference.
