OK so here goes. Seductions is an adult store that really fits in its own category and I'm going to tell you why. Seductions does not have any of the connotations of a seedy, dark, smelly adult store that would normally intrigue a more male clientele. Seductions is only staffed by women (I'm not entirely sure if I agree with this policy since I think the right type of guy can create the same atmosphere), but it is done to allow women customers to feel comfortable--maybe ever go there with a male partner or group of girls to check out the products and slip on some of the specialized lingerie not found elsewhere. Here's what won me over. The staff person I interviewed was dealing with a broken storefront window at the same time as phone calls with a manager, customers and me checking the place out (I'm a Yelper, you see). I wish I could remember her name, but she seemed unphased, where any normal person might feel a little stress. Give her a raise! The worst customer service!! I got a response from the owner on a previous review about a return issue and her response was that the items didn't have tags and that I wore the item. Huge lie so that the people who read these reviews would see. I never even tried going to the store to return the items, I called them and told them the issue and when I was basically told to go f myself I didn't step foot on that door. If you like bad customer service and overpriced stuff go here, but if not, take your money elsewhere. read more

First off this is no typical adult store. Personally I like my adult store seedy and dark. But My lady friend that I took in there really appreciated the cleanliness and brightly lit atmosphere that this store had. Seems that it's geared more to women. The manager there was extremely knowledgable and helpful. She made my lady friend feel comfortable and soon both were laughing and carrying on. The only bad thing about the visit was I ended up buying her more items then I had planed and I am scared of the new competition. I have taken her to that warehouse on central and San Mateo which she really disliked. She has since returned to seductions with her friends and had an equally pleasant experience. Great place for couples or women. I'll still hit up video max when I'm solo but I will return to this place on date night. read more

The people that own this place also own the News Stand, VideoMaxx and Pussycat Video. Sometimes the girls are knowledgeable (and they only hire girls I've never once seen a dude working here) and sometimes they don't even know which way the batteries go. The store at Menaul & San Mateo sold me a defective EVOLVED product. The second time it was used, the ON/OFF switch broke. I returned to the store to ask for manufacturer's info for return. The manager gave me a bad URL for Myevolve and I still have not found a way to return the vibrator even though the store manager told me it had a 5 year warrantee. Very poor customer service and they sell junk that they do not stand behind. They even force you to sign a Waiver when you buy. Is that even legal? I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. I was not asking them to take the item back. I was happy to dispose of the useless, broken item. I just wanted them to hand me a new boxed item. They claimed this would create a health hazard ??? Very lame excuse. I have never been to a store where the staff are so so rude! My boyfriend and I came here to buy some stuff and the lady refused to even look at our id's, and she kicked us out right then and there. I WILL be calling to complain first thing in the morning and I will be complaining about that woman. I have no idea who runs this store but it's horrible. Too bad for them as well because I was planning on spending a significant amount of money there tonight. I was not satisfied with this company at all! I went in to buy Lingerie for my birthday in early June and spent over a hundred dollars on what i thought was a "great" purchase. It literally ripped the first time i wore it and i only weigh 120lbs it fit very well it was just cheap material. They sell cheap products and i later find out that i can find all the things they sell in that store for outrageous prices online for half the price. Save your money and your time! Also I had heard they get robbed on a regular basis so i would no longer feel safe shopping there anyway. I will never shop there again nor will my girl friends who were with me. read more
