My general experience with the store has been positive and in the 4 to 5 star range. My 1 star rating is their customer service. I purchased a product which failed after 5 minutes of use. I contacted customer service (no phone options available, email ONLY) and included the product issue and images of the receipt. I was directed to send it to them in Phoenix (at my own cost). They didn't even put a name in their email so I'd know who I was dealing with. The item was shipped back and included name/address in with the defective unit. I notified them via that same email that it had been shipped. 7 days after the tracking information indicated that it had been delivered, I reached out again to inquire about the status. They responded quickly telling me to send the product back. They listed the same address, but a different department and again didn't include a name so I would know who I was dealing with. I replied again giving them a copy of the USPS receipt, a capture of the USPS tracking history, and reminded them the receipt is in the same email they replied to. They have everything they need to make this right. It wasn't a $4 item, it was an $80 item. There's no good reason for this sort of poor service. I like the store and the products, but beware if you have an issue with the product. You can't just take it back to the store and it may take some work to get any competent assistance via an email-only customer service option. It also appears that you'll eat the shipping cost to get it back to them. I paid $13.49 just for the return. read more

This store is huge. Just humongous. Personally I like the glaring lights as it's in kind of a shady area, so I feel pretty safe inside. They have a huge selection, though a lot of items are overpriced and the staff doesn't know how to answer questions honestly. They'll tell you what you want to hear to make a sale, but it's not always true. For instance, I was coerced into purchasing one of those 99 cent lubes at the front desk as an upsale. I asked if it had a warming ingredient in it because warming ingredients make me squirmy and I don't find them enjoyable. I was assured it didn't. Good thing I looked at the label before hanky Panky! It was choc full of warming ingredients! I don't know if they work on commission or what, but they've tried to sell me all kinds of things I absolutely don't need. I usually just ignore their advances while trying to be as polite as possible. And maybe it's because of the sheer size of the place, because the staff follows you everywhere. After saying several times I didn't need assistance, I was bombarded with "Still finding everything ok?" Or "are you sure I can't help you?"... this has happened every time I've gone to this store. I've never been so bothered by the staff at any other sex store in my life. They have tons of lingerie, even plus sized, and the most gorgeous nipple pasties! I would normally have given the Castle a 5 star rating because I shop here frequently for work outfits as well as personal items. I am giving them a 1 star because I had to, I walked into the store to a situation that had nothing to do with me, but started with my cousin getting bad customer service. She started explaining what had happened and in the mean time I was interrupted by one of the associates who then asked if they could help me find anything, I then had to interrupt my conversation to tell him abruptly that I was just meeting my cousin. The situation quickly went from her just explaining the situation while we were shopping to us being approached by the security guard telling us that we had to leave. I then asked to speak to the manager, who was walking down from his office, past right in front of me as I was politely asking for a moment of his time, he didn't make any eye contact with me let alone look my direction, but proceeded to tell us that we had to leave. So while in the parking lot I called to speak to him and ask why we were asked to leave, he rudely answered that the safety of his staff is important and he can refuse business to anyone he wants. This began to make me feel as though this was a race issue, first he couldn't address me properly, nor look in my direction or even make eye contact. I understand that this was a time where the Covid-19 had just begun and establishments were closing, but to be treated as though we had endangered his workers was a slap in the face. read more

This place is definitely like a wal-mart. They don't really have any "decor" but I assume it's because it's really just a place that people go to buy their things and just leave. When I first arrived, you notice that the parking lot is in the back, and it's kind of nice because the store is on Central. The front desk usually has more than one person and they were more than happy to help me get a shoe in my size. As far as selection goes, I was pretty happy. They had a lot of options for a store that is stuck in a place that seems pretty conservative. The store itself was pretty clean and organized and I had no problem finding anything. Never been more uncomfortable in a store before in my life. Not because of the type of store it is, I've been here many times. But I went in with my boyfriend (who is black) and we had to leave after a few minutes because one of the employees made us feel so uncomfortable and sketchy. One woman working behind the nicely greeted us, the other employee, who we guessed was the manager, a Caucasian man just stared at us and continued to stare only at us no matter where we went in the store. Probably my last choice for adult shops in Albuquerque. Their location is pretty grimy, for lack of a better word. Inside, it feels unwelcoming and cluttered.
