I have been going to LOVE Face Body Spa after my dad bought me a gift certificate for Xmas in Dec. 2025. I have been looking for years for someone to help me find the right face products as I have been mixing and matching for years with mixed results. Through my experience here, I have been turned on to Yonka products and they are unbelievably effective. I have been using them for about 2 months and my skin has never looked brighter or healthier. I often do not wear any makeup and you cannot tell the difference. Kayelyn is my aesthetician and she is a hoot. I am doing everything she recommends b/c I am seeing really good results. This was my first time at this spa. I booked a 90 minute Integrated Swedish Massage that cost $155 with Vincent online, which was easy to do. He was the only masseuse available for the time I needed, I didn't have a preference. Parking can be a little limited if looking for free, but there's 2 paid public parking lots on the other side of the railroad tracks which is only a short walk away. They had a walk-in that ran late so the room I was going to be was occupied so I had to wait about 15mins past my appointment time, but the receptionist was kind. There's a room that's in the lobby area, which was mine and I was nervous about how loud it would be because there was also work being done on the railroad tracks which are right next to the building. They quickly turned over the sheets when the appointment before me was over. The overall massage was good, Vincent had different techniques than what I was used to that helped with my trigger points. I'm not sure if he ran out of time though or if this was just his style but he didn't massage my arms or neck area when I was laying on my back. He did spend a long time on my back though which was helpful because that's where most of my tension was. I also liked that he didn't do the exact same thing on each side, it felt truly customized to where my tension was and what my body needed. He used hot towels too, which were a nice touch to help relax my muscles. He also provided me some neck stretches I can do to help release tension. Such easy and quick booking. There was tons of availability for appointments for a Saturday which was so nice. The staff were incredibly friendly, the location was so easy to find with perfect garage parking right beside the building. The prices were great and there is much to choose from as far as services. I got a 45 min facial and an hour Swedish massage and both were great. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area again. read more

Maybe I should have been more clear that I wanted my facial to be quiet and relaxing, but my esthetician talked to me almost the entire time she was doing my facial. What was really jarring was her bringing up a prominent political figure about 15 minutes into my service. It just doesn't seem professional to bring that up. Then, to make matters worse, she had to leave the room more than once to get products she didn't have in the room which kind of makes it feel like she wasn't prepared. So, the very relaxing hour long facial I had planned for me and my mom to end our trip together instead ended up being stressful and uncomfortable. Really a terrible memory to create in Charlottesville. Edit: since this business doesn't seem to want to validate the inappropriate nature of bringing up political figures during a spa treatment, let's focus on the other things that were bad. Talking loudly through the entire treatment which was supposed to be a quiet relaxing experience. Leaving the room multiple times showing a lack of preparation for the treatment. my esthetician felt more like a used car salesman trying to push her overpriced cleansing oil instead of a professional trying to give a quality experience. I was never asked if I wanted a silent service and the business owner and manager are both lying about it. Any positive thing I had to say about this place is out the window. Maybe get the water spots on your ceiling tiles checked out and I'll go ahead and look for a spa that isnt MAGA next time I need a facial. read more

I visited Love Face & Body Spa (bought & rebranded & now in a new location) for the first time back in July of 2022 for a facial. I originally had booked the Advanced Renewal facial but my l esthetician Kayelyn actually said I didn't need that exact facial because my skin is still young as I'm not yet in my 30s. She instead recommended I do the YonKa dry skin facial which is actually cheaper than what I originally booked. I love that she picked what would be best for my skin without trying to upsell a more expensive facial. I'm not well versed in skin care so I really liked that Kayelyn walked me through everything she was doing and the reasons why. Most times you just lay there in silence and while I do like sometimes to just relax and fall asleep, I really appreciated the skin care education and was still able to relax as well. But I feel like I have a better idea of what my skin needs and how I can achieve it. The only reason I'm rating this 4.5/5 stars is because I normally like some lip care during my facials and this was lacking that. I really liked the essential oil toner she used and ended up purchasing it afterwards. The scent is heavenly and made my skin feel great. I don't always purchase skin care products after my facials but I really liked the Yonka brand products she used on my face. Also if you're looking to get eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, cold sculpting, and more, Hayley with Hidden Heart Beauty Co has partnered up with Love Face. I've been getting my lashes done by her for awhile now and you can't find anyone better. I moved away recently but still drive 1.5hrs to see her! I go between getting a full hybrid set ($200) which is a reasonable price, or fills which are $70. I also love that she didn't require a take off of the lashes I had left on. (Which normally costs like $20-30). Every other studio I have found in the area requires you to pay them for a lash removal of the lashes from other aesthetician. Because I travel to different cities for work 3 months at a time, this is a huge hassle, so I am very grateful Hayley doesn't require this! Everything was amazing! The front desk was so kind upon entering, tea and water are offered. I got a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Joe and I went with a preference on deep, okay medium pressure. I got a hot towel on my back to begin and I have never felt so refreshed. Two days later and I'm noticing a visible difference in my shoulders- I deal a lot with knots and shoulder pain. I did have a bit of soreness the day after, but with deep tissue that's to be expected. Some parts I didn't even know had an issue till he brought the pain out and took it away. 100/10 recommend!! read more

Imani was awesome-- she's a very skilled massage therapist (she did an amazing job finding and working through all the spots that were causing me trouble). I had a really great experience at Love Face Body Spa. I was in town for just a couple of days and was able to book an appointment last-minute for Saturday afternoon. The online booking is so amazing, since it allowed me to book the night before and saved me the hassle of calling around a gazillion places to see if they had and same-day appointments available. And once I got there, I had a fabulous massage with Imani. She made me feel so comfortable, and my whole massage felt amazing. It honestly felt like it lasted forever, which was wonderful. I rarely leave negative reviews but my experience here was less then ideal, a true lack of professionalism. However I thought the massue I used was great. I warned her that I was pain tolerant and would bruise of too much pressure was applied (no easy feat but has happened if the therapist is strong enough). On my way out I felt pressured to rebook and with the therapist there I went ahead and did so. I did want to wait and see what I felt like the week following the massage. My back was covered in bruises. I had to travel out of the country for work and had limited cell phone reception but tried multiple times to call and cancel. I made a last ditch attempt the day before and was able to get their voicemail. They called me back the day of to say that I could reschedule and not be charged their cancellation fee since apparently they hadn't received my texts or emails attempting to cancel. I called to reschedule and was disconnected twice in the middle of finding a date to "move" my appt to. Admittedly I was hoping to call back later to cancel the newly rescheduled massage and see what other service I could book just to avoid being charged but also feeling so underwhelmed. They charged me the cancellation fee regardless of saying they wouldn't. Between the horrible service and communication I'm so disappointed, but there are other great spas in Charlottesville that provide excellent customer service and make your experience relaxing from start to finish! read more

I am still on cloud 9 after my hour long hot stone massage that I had this morning with Kayelyn. Kayelyn is hands down the best massage therapist out there and I have been to many. Her salon is very clean, inviting and relaxing. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed and at home. She is very knowledgeable in her field and has such strong hands! I recently had a facial at KayeL and it was probably one of the best yet. While the place was a bit difficult to find and the lack of signage made it a bit frustrating, I later learned that she's in process of moving to a bigger space. The space was immaculate and as soon as I walked in I felt this instant relaxation vibe settling in.
