I have been wanting to get eyelash extensions for a while. I have long lashes already, but I wanted them to be more full. I found this place on Yelp and made my appointment with Phoenix. The first time you get eyelash extensions it takes around an hour and a half. Since it was my first time I didn't know what to expect. They tape the bottom lashes down with a very soft tape that doesn't hurt or tug your skin. Then they apply the glue. I made the mistake of trying to open my eyes a little bit while the glue sat and my eyes burned the whole time and stayed red for three days after. My lashes came out so beautifully minus my red eyes. The best part of everything is waking up and not having to apply mascara because your lashes are good to go. Even though I was nervous to go back because of my redness I tried it again and made sure not to open my eyes at all. Which worked and I had no burn or redness. I go for a refill around 4 weeks and it only takes around an hour. Love the service here. read more

It was my first time so I was nervous to get full lashes. I asked for the classic set. Afterwards, Jade brought me into the lash room. There are 3 beds right next to each other, so you don't get much privacy but your eyes are closed the whole time, so it doesn't even matter. The whole procedure took an hour. I actually fell asleep! But I woke up mesmerized with how pretty my lashes looked! It's been about 4 weeks already and my lashes still look fabulous! So rush to take a shower right away. I stop by at gas station first to fill up gas on my car and went to the ATM at Stater Bros, then drove straight to Love Lash by Mia. I've been coming here since May of 2017. I've selfishly hesitated writing a review because I didn't want my eyelash specialist to get booked up even more than she already does but it's unfair at this point not to share how great she is. She deserves praise and appreciation. I've become a loyal customer here because of Anna. She is the sweetest person and has so much talent! I been getting my lashes done for years and by multiple people but she's by far the best. She is very gentle and precise. I've never had my eyes burn or water after she's completed my refills and I've never felt pain when she's removing older lashes. I still remember when I first met her, she was genuinely worried about my eyelashes because she noticed that another specialist (not this location) had put way too much glue on my eyes. Anna carefully tried to remove those bad lashes and handled everything with care. Ever since then, I've been consistently trying to book with her every 3 weeks. I've gone to other technicians here at this location when Anna wasn't available and they've all been really good. Let me start by saying my current lash girly MINT is so pretty and kind. She has worked with me by figuring out my needs and taking care of me. She takes her time & finds out what you like & don't like. Quality is what you'll get when you come to love lash. (Depending the stylist). On the other hand.. new policy change which is completely respected. After 6 fills a full set is required. Since I have been coming for years and had countless fills I asked last week does this policy start now for me as in do I get my 6 fills & then a full set later. Last Friday I got the answer yes from one of the girls. On the other hand the owner was not aware that this conversation took place. Instead of having an open conversation she was very stern and annoyed at me asking questions and telling me I take things personal and that "this is her business". I honestly don't care and I just needed clarification. I was very soft spoken yet the owner was talking to me as if I was being hostile and aggressive. I've been the most flexible and gracious customer all things considered. (Ex. Lash techs running late, lash techs pinching my eye lid hard ext...) This isn't the first time she's got weird with me and I've been coming for years. (Not being personal just saying you should know by now I am very polite) at one point she even said I'm taking advantage of her business. (Still don't understand how me paying into her business is doing so.) very silly. Lashes were done by Anna. It took about an hour and a few something minutes. She's very friendly and easy to talk to. She asked what look I was going for and was very accommodating. I was looking for a classic natural look with more volume. I'm really happy with the outcome of my lashes. Only negative thing I would have to say would be how hot it got. I really never do updates unless it's really necessary. This one is a must. I've been coming here, on and off, for a few years. The quality seems to be degrading. The only reason why I have been coming back is for Sophia....I definitely recommend her. She is very detailed. During my last appointment, there was this really entitled and complaining customer. They were 30 minutes late to helping me. I wouldn't care since I often run late and they are accommodating, however, the owner did nothing to address the issue and allowed the customer to invade in my service time. The customer clearly stated that she was content with the service by Sophia, therefore, started on my lashes. This customer then tried to get free service by telling the owner, whom bed was next to Sophia (they have open space with a bunch of beds next to each other) that she was promised a free service for her birthday...wait, I never received that offer and I've been a regular? Then as I'm getting my lashes done, she kept asking for touch-up. The owner kept ushering my lash person to help her...excuse me, she is done and it's my time now. This doesn't stop, because the owner allowed her to keep getting touch up while I was getting mine done, she repeatedly came back, especially when the owner left to go home, and harassed my worker for free eyelash curler, "put more lashes in this empty space", and "put sparkling lashes on", thus she sat right next to me and breathing on me..insisting the owner said she can do it. The owner, should have stepped up and set some boundaries with this customer to respect my time and my service. I doubt she would like it if she was getting the service and her person has to stop every 15 minutes to service someone else. I'm writing the 100th review for Love Lash by Mia! I've been wanting to try eyelash extensions for quite a while but I continually put it off because I was nervous about how they would look. I finally got the courage to give them a call and booked an appointment with Anna. The entire process lasted about 1.5 hours and it was smooth and pleasant. Before we began, Anna went over the procedure and explained everything very thoroughly. She used a lot of precision in applying each eyelash one by one and I'm very happy with the results! I'm here in another country looking to get a fill, I don't rub my eyes, I waited the amount of time required, I sleep lightly however I have about 4-5 eyelash extensions left. So I have been coming to this place for months with a recent break to let my lashes grow back. Ale is extremely friendly and does an amazing job. She is completely worth the 40 min drive I have to get to this place . However the management has a complete lack of customer service. Today I had an appointment at 9:00 am but received a text at 8:36 am stating they were canceling my appointment because I failed to confirm which I usually do. Ok? Mind you I had already made this drive and was parking when I decide to check my phone that was in my bag. Needless to say I was pretty upset why have a cancellation policy if you are just gonna to cancel someone 20 mins before their appointment if they don't text you back. I can see sending me a text canceling me the night before maybe but right before ?! Once I texted them I was outside then they said it was ok to come in but at this point I don't even want to spending any sort of money or time in this place. Its too bad because I really was happy with the work but this is to me is unacceptable and at this point I had already given them a second chance. At my last appointment I was seen by Sophia and although she was very nice my lashes were completely uneven and not very well done but I decided I'd just deal with it and schedule my fill with Ale since up until now I've had no complaints. I have to say that the work and lashes done on other people look great but I hate mine. First off, I asked for very natural looking lashes that will fill my lash line. After 2 hours , I look in the mirror to see overly curly, super fake, cheap looking lashes. For some reason these lashes look too much like plastic and its SHINY. like, plastic shiny. My friend was getting hers done with me at the same time, and hers looked more natural than mine even though she asked for a dramatic, noticeable look. I get it. Each of the workers there have their own standards of the look of lashes, but if i ask for VERY natural lashes, I dont expect to have a dramatic I-have-super-fake-SHINY-lashes-on look. During the whole procedure, I dont know if its normal but the person working on mine, kept poking my eyelids with the false lashes. It would be uncomfortable to have her constantly poke my eyelid. Even now, whenever I blink, it feels like the part where the lashes are glued, are poking my eyelids. Like what? It also feels like there are chunks of glue at the roots of my lashes. I do appreciate the effort put in by the person that did my lashes (heck, sitting still and putting individual lashes for over 2 hours require a lot of patience)but...I dont know.. it was my first time getting lash extensions and to spend that much money on results like this, is so not worth, rather disappointing. I recommend clarifying, maybe even repeat clearly what you want several times. That way, you wont get what you totally did not want and waste over 2 hours/100+ dollars. I saw all the reviews for this place and wanted to check them out. I had had lash extensions before only 2/3 times and never really found what I was looking for. I wanted fullness, volume, and length. I'm not from the Buena Park area so I specifically drove here. First off, parking is behind the building. The building is pretty old and you have to climb the stairs to get to their shop. You can clearly tell it's an old office space. When I walked in, it was quite different from the typical lash studios. Now I forgot her name - she's a thin, semi short Latina with blondish/light brown hair. She was friendly enough and asked what I was looking for. I showed her some photos, she asked what length and curl I wanted and started. I told her that I hadn't found a spot I really liked and created what I wanted. She told me also that my lashes were thin and it would be hard to do volume lashes... I was so disappointed and she said she would try. Secondly, the room I got my lashes done was not private at all. I wasn't expecting it to be but there had to be 5-6 beds in there and it was incredibly cramped. It looked like some sort of sweat shop to be honest. The blinds were all jacked up, the "beds" seemed like actual tables they put a cushion on, and the blankets/pillow on them were just off putting and seemed out of place. Now, I'm not as nitpicky but goddamn I could hear ever conversation, they could hear mine, someone was snoring, and I was charged $160 for a full set plus 20% tip so damn near $200. I mean if you're charging clients that much, come on now, take care of your presentation. I have friends in the industry and know darn well that a lash extension business profits more than their supplies cost. Like I said, I get it but it was not a comfortable nor attractive experience. I think I was there for 3-4 hours long it took FOREVER. I was fidgeting, fell asleep, fidgeting some more because my back was killing me on her table. When it was done, I wasn't ecstatic. I dropped some serious money on some lashes that would fall off eventually and felt mediocre. Then she told me my fill for 2 weeks would be $75 and it goes up from there. I was like goddamn! I thought it was way too overpriced for what I received. Now, fast forward to after and to present day (3 weeks after). I took care of my lashes - I had $200 lashes on my eyes I was damn sure gonna take care of them well. I hardly wore makeup, made sure no oils, etc but I started to notice that they didn't look so nice quickly. Soon, I had some fall out and when some would fall, it looked like clumps were falling out. Then they started twisting or pointing in a different direction... this is about a week in. I know it could be because how I slept but still... I made sure to buy a silk pillow case and to avoid sleeping on my face. And then the more time went on, they started to irritate me because they were falling off, itchy, some looked like they were halfway placed on the real natural lashes, and more clumping fallouts. So I decided I did not want to go back there, I wasn't about to spend an arm and a leg for something that wasn't worth it and found a new spot. Today - I went to my appointment at the new location and I am BEYOND happy. I explained what happened and showed the artist what I was looking for but noted sadly that maybe she wouldn't be able to do it because I've been told my lashes are too thin too fragile too spaced and she looked at me funny. She looked at my lashes and told me it looked like I had pulled some out and the natural lashes looked super fragile and would need time to get stronger. I told her that I hadn't been pulling on them, gently brushing, but noticed clumps falling. She was like, honestly it looks like they didn't do a good job in my opinion, some of the lashes are too heavy on you and the fact that clumps were falling off meant that they weren't placed right and they were tugging on each other. She also said that she had worked on thinner lashes than mine and was still able to do the type of look I wanted. the new location had taken photos of what I came in with & she hadn't shown me the before. When I went on their Instagram (new spot) that's when I saw it and I damn near cried. My natural lashes looked sooooo fragile, thin, and some looked like they had broken off. I was horrified and relieved at the same time that the new location made my lash dreams come true. I am so in shock and unhappy with what I received here and the damage they did to my lashes. I would be the first person to say I messed my lashes up myself but I had made every effort to take care of them and if I did do anything wrong, it was not to the extent that should have caused THIS much damage. Plus, they're so comfortable sometimes I forget I'm wearing lash extensions! I've been to her twice already. I had tried scheduling my refill before my 3 weeks was up, but she had trainings to go to. She felt bad she couldn't fit me in before the 3 weeks, so she still gave me the refill price 4 days after. She also closes at 7, but she was willing to accommodate to my work schedule. I was able to come in at 6:30p and we were done by 8pm. Thank you Mia! Mia is sweet, honest, and a diligent worker. Her room is located inside the OC Threading Salon. I highly recommend her services. PS. A reviewer had mentioned paying varying prices depending when you come in. New appointments are $100, refills are $50. Refills have to be done within 3 weeks of your previous lash appointment. After the second processing time, she said I was done and told me to sit up. I looked in the mirror and my lashes looked the exact same way as they had when I came in. This person told me my lashes were too short to be curled. I let them know that I had previously had them done and there was no issue. They proceeded to show me pictures of lashes done on previous customers, of which had nothing to do with me. Because I was so disappointed and dissatisfied, I used my own lash lift kit, I had wanted it done professionally but instead had to do them myself anyway. The photo shows my left eye, how I left the studio and the right side is how I did them myself. They tried to give me a discount when they should have refunded. If they thought my lashes were too short(which they weren't) they should have turned me away instead of wasting 2 hours of my time. Would not recommend. read more

UPDATE: Everyone deserves a second chance. I received a message for Mia asking if I'd like to come back so she can take a look at my lashes and try to be able to give me the satisfaction that I want. TODAY, I did go back. I truly appreciate Mia giving me a thorough explanation of what had transpired. I wanted more volume and the length that I typically get. Unfortunately, during my first visit this was not achieved. An honest misjudgment by the technician. Given my really thin and fragile natural lashes Mia was able to give me nice volume and length that's still noticeable and hopefully my lashes could withstand. So far, I like how it looks. She also recommended products that will help nourish my poor lashes. I can tell that you really stand by the quality of your work Mia. Again, I appreciate it.
