I have been going to U Nails for over 6+ years and it is truly the only place that I trust going to for my manicures and pedicures. This small business is female-owned and the staff are always courteous and respectful. The quality of their work is unmatched for the price and value of their services. I always get dip, but they offer a wide variety of services like acrylic, gel, and regular polish. They have different price points based on the type of service you want, which is awesome. They do their best to accommodate walk-ins, but it's best to call and make an appointment as they are a very good and popular salon. Tips are always appreciated and preferred in cash, but they always accommodate card too. I love coming here and the owner is always very kind and helpful. She has taught me a lot over the years, so that I am always improving the health of my nails. I appreciate that she cares so much to even tell me! You don't get that kind of service anywhere else! Got these nails today! I hated them at first, but it wasn't the nail tech's fault (never got her name), she was an absolute gem and tried her absolute hardest when I gave her a difficult design. I got gel x and it did burn, but my fault for not speaking up. I paid $90 for this whole set which was an okay price for what I got; the nail tech even had matched the inspo pic and added 3d waves on the thumb. They look nice and are really starting to grow on me! Except, on the inside of my nail the glue for the gel x is kind of overflowing and has left over nail dust in it too. The lady also over drilled me, but she did check in with me multiple times to make sure everything was good and okay to my liking! I will come back to get them filled probably. read more

To preface this review, I will say that I came to this salon expecting quality after reading the reviews. I had been lured by the regulars raving about the quality and good prices. I should have paid closer attention because this salon is terrifying. I am genuinely worried about the cleanliness and hygiene of this place. I had called ahead to request a removal of my gel x set and then application of a new set. They asked for my name and phone number and it was okay. I show up at the time we agreed upon only to be directed to an empty desk. I then waited for 10 minutes, not even given a swatches to choose a color. The salon itself was crowded, which is normally a good sign, but I'm looking at their polish shelves which are overflowing with product and haphazardly organized. The bottles themselves look like they've seen better days with dirty caps crusted in old gel and grime. The tech comes over to me and starts to remove my current set. She uses a very coarse bit, not one I have ever seen a tech use before to remove gel x. The first touch of the drill hurts! It was so hot I pulled my hand away. She does adjust her angle but does not adjust the speed of the drill. The removal feels like a game of patty cake with how many times I had to pull away. Then she starts the soak by wrapping my nails in foil and acetone. All pretty typical. Then the tech just disappears, no where to be seen for ten minutes while my nails soaking after giving me swatches to go through. The swatches as a side are horrendously organized and thrown with no care into cheap looking basket. At this point I'm covered in nail dust, my nails hurt, and I'm wondering what am I doing. The tech comes back, proceeds to use the same bit she used to do the first bit of filing! To be honest I'm terrified at this point. Now we've finished the removal process and she starts sizing the new tips. I notice that the box is for short stiletto tips, not the medium almond I had asked for. When I asked, the tech said just check the length, we can file after if you want more round. While she was sizing the first tip, I looked at the bottles of gel and they are crusted in old gel to the point it looks like they have 3D art on them. This was my breaking point. I asked politely if I could just have a normal gel manicure. She had only sized three nails, no application yet. So she does as asked and puts the tips away. Then she turns to the tech next to her and says something in Vietnamese. Now, I don't speak Vietnamese but I could those two were gossiping about something given the tone and facial expressions on their faces. So my tech goes and gets a bowl of water to soak my nails in. The water is cold and she does a rushed job of trimming my cuticles with tools she pulls out of her cart. I saw her spray them with alcohol before using them on me which is something for cleanliness but I'm used to sterilized and wrapped tools at other salons. When she finished the prep, the tech brought out a jar of some type of clear gel to apply on my nails. I'm no nail tech but even I could tell that it didn't look like base coat. She preceded to finish the manicure and then just slathered on some cuticle oil from another dirty looking bottle. Afterwards she gave me the most clipped sounding thank you I have ever heard. In the end I paid close to fifty dollars for a terrifying manicure of moderate quality. Ladies beware! read more

Service was above par for sure. To start the salon was extremely clean and modern, I was in and out in less than an hour but my experience didn't feel rushed. The quality of my nails are exceptional and I'm writing this about 2 weeks after getting them done and they are fully in tact and still looking good. Called a few days before Christmas to inquire if they had openings, told to come on in I got there within 20 minutes and promptly someone was doing my pedicure. Now I'm sitting there relaxing and another woman pulls up and does my gel manicure. I've had this happen previously when I've been in a hurry, but seems like they just do this in general? So felt a little like a production line, but I wasn't complaining- I needed my nails done. The downsiDe to this is that you tip twice. Yes I understand you would tip for 2 services, but just breaking up the tip sucks, and o end up paying both more than if I were to have tipped one. Example- pedi 25 and gel manicure 35, so total 60. I would have tipped probably 20 to round up. But now I'm digging in my purse for singles and fives, so the pedicure person get 10, but then isn't that shorting the manicurist if I give 10? She knows how I like my nails and nails the shape every time she does them. It's even the little extras.. like trimming my dry cuticles when im just there for a fill. Hannah is really good at nails as well and does a great job. Everyone is so sweet and tentative. I've also never had negative experience with pedicures. They all do an amazing job. Well neither have I, until I came to this place. I was even surprised myself because I hadn't been in a couple of months and Nikki still remembered me :). Thats real customer service for you. Admittedly, if you come in without an appointment then you may have to wait a bit. This place DOES get busy! I always message through the Yelp page, but you can always call it in too. I always get dip nails with Nikki. She knows how I like it and I never complain because she just knows. When I come in, it's like catching up with an old friend. I sometimes get pedicures on special occasions as well. I enjoy their massages and the scrubs. Parking is a little difficult if you come during a busy time. Otherwise, not too bad. This place is DIRTY. I've been to many salons and not all are immaculate but this place really was below average. They are busy and I feel like they are not properly sanitizing or cleaning their tools. Yes, the nail tech I had and the owner Nicki were friendly, and yes my nails came out nice; but I am giving one star for the poor attention to cleanliness. I even was bleeding from the tech filing my nails and her solution was to pour actual acetone on my finger and just keep moving along. Please reconsider coming here and pick a salon that cares. read more

Went for a pedicure last week. Got my feet in the water and it was cold. I told her it's cold. She switched the tap water on and filled it more. My feet up. She took off the old nail polish. I put my feet back into "cold water"! I asked do the other ones work? No hot water? She shook her head, No. So why didn't they tell me this before I sat down? They lured me in instead of allowing me to decide. Pedicures are spiritual and relaxing. This was none of the above. I don't like deception. This new young woman there is also "rough" and there's no relaxing with her. I doubt I'll go back although the pricing is right. Good luck girls. read more
