I only got color from the stand up. I bought a package of visits and the next week they changed their hours significantly. Closing earlier at night and closed completely on Sunday's. Because I had every Sunday off that was one day I always had an opportunity to go but could not. I'm used to tanning salons shortening their hours in the summer but this was in the fall. They play a lot of Christian music and spam you with Christian messages. I thought I was tanning not going to church. Will attach a photo of their email. On my last visit they did not ask me if I wanted another package which I found surprising as someone who works in sales. That's the best time to ask someone to renew! I obviously wasn't interested in renewing but they didn't know. I would have politely explained why I did not want to renew.

I found this place using a basic Google search for facials, massage, etc. The website is pretty bad, but I figured whatever - and I tried to call them because I had a few questions. The voicemail is tinny, grating and just odd sounding. It sounds like an actual old school answering machine from the late '90s. Yet it tells you to press 1, for etc, press 2, for etc. Unfortunately, when you press any key, the voicemail simply repeats itself. There is never any option to leave a voicemail. But I'm tenacious. So I used the 'Contact Us' form to submit a request to be contacted. I also, very politely, informed them that the voicemail for one of their numbers was cycling over and over and not allowing callers to leave a message. While the other voicemail says that it's not accepting calls and hangs up. I got contacted alright. Today I received an e-mail form 'Jodi' - telling me to use the website to book an appointment. I responded back, incredulous, and asked if I was actually being asked to book an appointment without being able to first speak to someone to answer some questions - since the website is sorely lacking in information. No response after that. Why even have a voicemail or a published phone number? This is insane. It's pretty ironic that trying to schedule something relaxing, would actually result in the opposite: frustration and irritation. I wish them the best, but I have no idea how this type of business model - one where you are not allowed to actually speak to a live person before booking an appointment - and the website looks like something an 5th grader created 10 years ago - can be successful.

She loves what she does and it's evident in her work. She cares about your skin and gives you a thorough consultation before she treats your skin. She also does massages. She gave me a great massage today before my microdermabrasion/vitamin c facial. She then gave me some natural eyelash extensions. She also does waxing which I just learned today(def a one stop shop for beauty). She is so talented and so humble. She is booked and busy but she is still easy to schedule an appointment with. She only uses organic products which I appreciate. My skin is sensitive and I don't need all those harsh chemicals. My skin stays glowing and it's because of her facials. Love her and will definitely keep going back. Facials are def necessary for beautiful skin. Been getting them for 12 years now and they make all the difference in the world. I had received some gift certificates for…read moremanicures/pedicures via an Herbal Essences promotion, and since there wasn't a participating salon in Kennesaw, the fulfillment center booked appointments for me and my daughter at Elite Retreat for 2 pedicures. I was pleased to receive a confirmation call from the salon the morning of our appointments, and I was able to book brow waxes and upgrade the pedicures to spa pedicures easily. Each person that we met at the spa was kind and helpful. My daughter had never had her eyebrows waxed before, and her treatment was extremely gentle, and she was so happy with her purple pedicure! The nail specialist even painted little bright pink hearts on her big toes (very sweet). I found the service to be excellent, as well, and I was more than happy to pay the difference for our upgraded services and a tip. I wish I could say that I planned to frequent this spa again, but to be brutally honest, I docked them a star because their prices are so very much higher than all other service providers in this area. With my gift certificates, the final price was reasonable, but if I had paid the full price for our services, plus tip, that would have decimated my "beauty" budget for the next few months. I think this would be a wonderful place to receive a day spa certificate as a gift, but I would be hard pressed to justify the cost on any ongoing basis. But if I win the lottery, I'm all in!

Someone recommended Wax Me Bare, so after viewing their website, prices, and work on Instagram, I decided to book. I showed up a few minutes before my appointment time and Imani, the owner and operator, was finishing up with the client before me. A few minutes later, the client was leaving and it was my turn to enter the studio. Imani sanitized the chair and all her equipment and also rolled out a new piece of paper for me to sit on. She also wore a mask. Although I've been getting Brazilians for years, I was nervous about this being my first time at a new place. There was absolutely NO need to be nervous as this was the quickest, most-painless wax experience I have EVER had. Whatever type of wax she uses is gold and needs to be mass-distributed! Imani was very careful, meticulous, and personable, too. The wax took about 15-20 minutes and cost $40. If you pay with a card, there is a $2 fee added to your total. Now, this studio is much different than what I was used to as it's operated out of a one-room suite and only one person can be serviced at a time. But this was not a problem at all. You also receive a loyalty card where your sixth wax is free. Overall, my experience was one of the best I've ever had and I can't wait to come back!
