My hair came out pretty, but it wasn't what I asked for. - Cut: The layers weren't done well so it sort of resembles a long mullet at times...kind of a mushroom shape effect. Feels like I have only 2 layers I'm descent with hair so can mask it a bit with curls. - The highlights are fine but they are old school/ going to root all over and not the ballyage effect I asked for. That said, they were blended nicely. - The color is red/orange which bothers me more than the cut. I said multiple times I didnt want red or warm... my whole head, not just the highlights, got toned a fairly strong red hugh. I invested in blue and purple shampoos trying to tone it down. It helped a bit. I did give her feedback but I don't want to go back to get it fixed because I've been back once already and I'm not confident in her ability to fix it at this point. She did offer to try again. I think i gotta wait this one out a few months and then get a trim and/or tone from someone else. Facility was cute and clean, free parking out back. Waited a month to give the review as I wanted to give it time to settle in.

Got there, parked on the side street and walked to the salon. The vibe was chic and relax, super cute decorated for the holiday. Monick was my hairdresser. She looks so much like my sister in law!!! Her hair is gorgeous and her makeup was very beautiful. She let me know that she needed to clean her station since she just finished her previous appointment. No worries with me, I was a bit early. She came to get me, I showed her the pics of the pixie cut I wanted. She did an AWESOME job!!!! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did since I usually wear my hair past my waist lol. My curls are always perfect and with a little TLC, I can keep my blow out for about 4-5 days. The place is very clean, I like all the products they use and appointments are very organized. On the day of my appointment, Grace greeted me and I was seated immediately. I brought reference photos for the type of curl pattern that I wanted. Grace asked me some questions about my desired curl pattern and explained that she would be trimming my hair so that I could have more volume. My hair is flat so I agreed with her suggestion. Once my hair was trimmed and we discussed the curl pattern, she began the perming process. She talked me through the process of the curly perm and helped me feel comfortable during my appointment. It was busy that day but Grace always made time to checked on me. My appointment was about two hours long and I loved the way hair looked when she was finished. Grace gave me amazing tips on how to maintain the volume and curls, and recommended some products for me to use. She said that I could any products that I'm comfortable with, but I decided to purchase the shampoo, hair treatment, and hair moisture curl that was available at her salon. I used her products for my first hair wash, and my curls still look amazing. I'm definitely going to be buying more from her salon. I had a good experience at Glamourous Hair Salon. Grace has great customer service skills, and is very knowledgable about curl perms and hair. I love my curls and I will be back.
