This review is mostly for the North Wales shop, although I have some comments about the Capriotti's web site / app. I've enjoyed Capriotti's subs for many years. I absolutely love their Classic Italian sub. But as the franchise expanded, I've noticed a lot of variation in the service and the food quality. At the North Wales location, it's hit-or-miss. They have high staff turnover. Some of the staff are friendly and efficient; others can be lackadaisical and don't pay much attention to my order. I always specify "no raw onions," but about 20% of the time, the subs have onions. Toppings that I request "on the side" often end up on the sub. Recently, the turkey subs have had finely shredded meat, instead of the pulled turkey pieces that have always been a Capriotti's signature. Having said that, I've found the the store managers to be very responsive to my comments in the customer surveys. So I've gotten a few subs on their dime! Now for the online ordering. The system used to provide a place where you could make special requests, such as "pickles on the side," or "VERY EASY on the hot pepper relish!" But that feature is now gone, so I've had to place my orders on the phone or at the shop. As a result, I don't get credit on the Rewards program. I asked about this at the shop once, and was told it only works online. Oh well! read more

Real Hoagies the way I remember as a child in the 1960s. Awesome experience. Delicious. We were staying at the Ambler Inn in PA, and their restaurant was closed. So, my husband picked us up some subs at Capriotti's. I was hoping they would be like the hoagies that I remembered from living in PA long ago. They were as good or better!!! read more

Drove past this shop and on the way home decided to stop by and pick up some sandwiches. I was really intrigued by the Bobbie sandwich so I picked that up and so did my mom, my brother and dad both got cheesesteaks. I really enjoyed the sandwich, it was very salty though and I realized they put s+p on everything. I would do without that. It was a bit dry too but I'd give it another go just because I liked the flavors overall. read more

I stopped and Capriotti's about a week ago. I order a tuna hoagie and it was delicious. I raved about it to my family. So today we had a function to go to and my sister placed a $101.00 order for the group. Well my Tuna Hoagie today was dry, no oil, no black pepper and no provolone cheese with my American cheese. The other complaints were the hoagie being dry. Needless to say I feel like a smack booty. Is there a shortage of mayo and other condiments. My sister ordered online and was precious per everyone's order. I hope you do better in the future. I believe the managers name is Jay. If you guys don't get it together I will go back to Pudges. I came to this shop based off of other people's experience but after this huge order with mistakes I'm not so sure! read more

Love this place! One of our new favorite lunch spots. We drive about 8 miles from Ambler for a work lunch because it offers variety and also plant-based options like an Impossible steak sanwich. The fries are always hot and fresh and we really enjoy the rolls. The veggies are fresh and there's ample fillings and toppings. They never fail to greet you and this place is clean and organized. We had lunch today and everything was great. I'm surprised by the bad reviews; growing pains maybe? We had a Cole Turkey, Hot Bobbie, Italian and Meatball, super fresh rolls. Based on an acquaintence's recommendation for the Hot Bobbie I tried it. Very disappointed. Looks nothing like what is represented on the website. The turkey, what little there was, was very dry and almost non-existent. Same for the cranberry...basically it was stuffing sandwich. My husband said this about his tuna sandwich..."I could have gotten this from Wawa...better and much cheaper." Bottom line....Underdelivered and Overpriced. read more

Wanted to love it, but it totally missed the mark....you know how you go to McDonald's and see the photo of the burger and then you get it and it looks nothing like the photo? That's what happened here. I got the turkey cole: almost all dark meat (not my fav) and a huge chunk of turkey cartilage that I almost choked on. hubby got the capastrami: no cole slaw and just a mess. All while pumping out online pick up orders. Price is about what can be expected for a sandwich place not affiliated with a gas station. Pretty excited to check out the app to see what deals they offer. Let's talk sandwiches. This not a one way ticket to flavor town, won't even put you in the right hemisphere. It's good, but nothing to write home about. Rolls were fresh for the crunchy chipotle chicken and the classic meatball. The meatball sauce tasted like marinara that should be served with mozzarella sticks, not meatballs. They put whole meatballs on the sandwich, so if you like them cut to be more evenly spread, maybe ask for it, idk. The chicken chipotle crunch cheesesteak was tasty, maybe too much sauce, but lettuce and tomato were pretty fresh. What I could taste as I was over powered by sauce was good and the crunch was fantastic if only to offset the soaking of the sauce. Happy I tried it, but I wouldn't put this as a destination sandwich shop. Definitely go here instead of a place known for chicken for a hoagie. read more

Stopped in to try an steak sandwich and my wife got a half steak and salad. The half sandwich was barley 4". My steak was on a 10" roll where all other shops are 12". The amount of meat was barley a quarter inch thick and did not fill the roll. For the same price I can get a steak that has twice the meat on a 12" roll for the same price!! Whatever happened to making a good quality sandwich for a fair price. I didn't even eat it because I didn't want a bread sandwich with a few mushrooms and onions. Hi, I went here based on a recommendation from a coworker. The shop was clean and the help was friendly. I ordered the medium-sized cheesesteak and a medium soda. The cheesesteak came with mushrooms and onions. The sandwich came out fast and steamy. It did taste very good, but for a total of $16.37, I expected a little bit more. After eating, I was surprisingly not full. I think if they portioned the meat a bit more, it would be a great sandwich and overall experience. Don't waste your money. Cheesesteak had hardly any meat, a gallon of mayo and forgot the hot peppers. Turkey hoagie, meat was extremely dry and forgot the oil.
