Order: Routine Cleaning Yearly Xray and Exam Pros: the entire experience was smooth, painless, and quick. My hygienist knew what she was doing and didnt hurt my gums or mouth while cleaning. The doctor was bubbly and very friendly as well lol! Definitely enjoyed the experience. As a side note, I always find it funny that they love to ask questions when you have stuff in your mouth lol. Cons: the front desk check in was slightly annoying. I had to sign documents on a pad without seeing the screen. Sure they told me verbally & provided a clipboard with the document, but I wanted to see the actual screen to ensure I was indeed signing the right thing. When I told the lady this she seemed slightly annoyed but she did share her screen with me. I just had a previous experience where I was listening to someone read the document while I signed and they withheld certain info that cost me $4000. Very hard lesson to learn. But I now read everything I sign. That small moment did not impact my overall experience so I still give full stars. read more

it seems as if I have invested my life at lovejoy dental every time I go there I have to have more and more cavities and removals of caps and etc.. The last time I went I was an hour early in the woman at the desk insisted that I pay before going in. What I had was only an estimate for $2000. I was not sure of what they were going to accomplish. I assume she was new and told her that I had always paid after a service. She said well now you pay before the service I told her I was not informed of the change she said well you are informed of it now I have never been screamed at from a dental office personnel before I will never go back. I will never subject myself to that type of treatment and I will be filing a complaint. I would also like to have reviewed the work that my dentist has done on me to have it and verified that it was all necessary. i've never been told I had to pay $2000 before I sat down in the dentist chair. I'm not even sure this is legal and this is the first time I have been screamed at by a dental office personnel who I did not respect, this is definitely not very professional, nor is the new pay prior to visit professional. read more

Lovejoy dental is hands down the best dentist office I've ever been to! If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Anytime I'm in a conversation with someone who hates going to the dentist, I tell them they just need to switch to Lovejoy and see how easy and pain free going to the dentist can be. The entire office staff is so friendly and I love that Ellie greets me by name when I walk in for my appointment. I've never had a bad experience with any of the hygienists, but my usual hygienist, Hannah, is the absolute best. She takes the time to explain any procedures that are being done and makes sure I am as comfortable as possible. When she does my cleanings she is always very gentle and my appointments tend to be over before I know it, as we chat about so many things that we have in common, that the time just flies by. My dentist, Dr. Way, is so delightful and is extremely thorough. When I decided to get Invisalign, he was so open and caring about my progress throughout the year. He even called me a few times, just to follow up on conversations we had earlier in the week, to make sure everything was on the right track. His dental assistants, Sara and Ashley, that I got to meet during my Invisalign journey are also such amazing ladies! I feel so lucky to have found Lovejoy dental and I feel so assured every time I go in there, that I will always be in good hands with anyone on their gifted team! Ok this review was crazy overdue. Let's start with the dental hygienists here . I have been going here for about 4 years and I can say the level of care from the hygienist cleanings are 100%. I am prone to needing deep cleanings and they are usually painful and not fun but this clinic stocks up on the newest technology and the best staff so that you can't feel a thing when they are working! I have had experience with Dr.Young and he has always done my teeth right. I have such high anxiety about getting my teeth worked on , but Dr young works fast and makes sure everything is pain free ! I have never been to a dentist that when they are done im happy to come back ! This clinic keeps up with the latest and the greatest dental education and it shows ! Dr young has also taken care of my friends/ family with minor or more serious dental problems. We all could not rave on about him more he's amazing, kind , talented , and has great bedside manner. Dr. Young is definitely the warmest and kindest dentist I've been to and I also have greatly appreciated how available he's been for last minute/emergency appointments. Other local dentists were booked up for two weeks or more, but Dr. Young saw me the next day for the two different emergencies I experienced in the last 1.5 years. He also did a great job with the multiple fillings I needed, but he didn't do too well with a crown he placed for me after giving me a root canal. The root canal itself went smoothly, but the crown has caused gum inflammation since it was placed 1.5 years ago (both him and his dental hygienist told me I needed to "floss extra well" to help with this issue) and it causes me terrible pain when I bite a certain way on accident. A different dentist has confirmed that it's not the right size and I need to get a replacement. Thus, that's a lot of money I wasted plus needless pain. Lastly, I feel that this happened because he has had a tendency to rush and/or double book patients. One time I went there he kept going back and forth between me and the patient next to me, which resulted in a lot of wait time and what seemed like hasty work on his part. So, although I like Dr. Young as a person due to his warm, friendly demeanor and how accommodating he is, he is definitely not the best dentist. As a side note, they don't use the lead apron for x rays claiming that it's "not necessary", but other dentists I've recently gone to have used them by default. read more

First, the office staff, hygienist and dentist (Dr. Young) are very friendly and competent. My ISSUE...I was told I needed 3 crowns. I asked for and was given a treatment plan. As I began researching and exploring with my dental insurance plan It became very clear (after 2 hours of phone calls and research) that the treatment plan was completely misleading in terms of what the out of pocket cost actually was. We showed up a little bit late for our appointment and work quickly seated in the chair. My dental hygienist, Tessie was super friendly and bubbly. Yeah... people are actually nice, friendly, helpful - they open and hold doors for you; respond when you talk. There is also plenty of accessibility provided you know where the entrance to the "public elevator" is hidden. The only reason I will not be returning is the front office staff. Not professional when I was told to pay for the first visit. It was not completed yet, until my second visit. That's when I was stopped by front office and told I hadn't paid for my first visit. Btw, I have dental insurance. When you tell a new patient that too many people are stiffing their business it's awkward, unprofessional, and unnecessary. After my first visit the front desk had lots of staff in addition at the front desk. Some were standing and arranging a staff member's hair in her desk chair. I since have found a new dental office and feel very comfortable there. Mellow too. Not hurried. Not aggressive. I hope the dentists at Lovejoy Dental are aware sensitive of their office staff's tone when speaking to a patient. PS: my employer recommended this practice. I've had some pretty extensive cosmetic dental work from Lovejoy Dental and I could not recommend them enough. When I was a kid I was involved in an accident that left me with the majority of my front teeth chipped and missing to various degrees. Dr. Young did a wonderful job restoring my smile and I ended up getting 5 crowns and 3 veneers from him. In addition to that, he also took the opportunity to correct an uncomfortable underbite I had with two of my canines. He literally gave me a new smile and I could not be happier with the results. I ypreviously came to this office with Dr Rafia owned it and had nothing but good experiences. Because of the beautiful work Dr Rafia did to restore teeth, I came back when I needed more restorative work. However, my insurance only pays for certain cleanings and without authorization from me, they decided to do an enhanced cleaning. That my insurance won't cover. I have paid the bill under protest and won't return. They have lost my trust that they can appropriately handle a $30k restoration so I will not be be returning. If you decide to use this office, confirm before any procedures are done that your insurance company covers or that you authorize. I would have no way to have known that the cleaning they were doing was enhanced and to stop it. Definitely shady. read more

I found this dental practice on Yelp and decided to get a cleaning and exam due to the great reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great experience as other reviewers. The cleaning was fine. However, Dr. Young is undoubtedly the worst dentist I have encountered both in terms of bedside manner (very abrupt and dismissive) and in profession. His exam of my teeth took under 5 minutes, just really lazy, careless, completely thoughtless work. He clearly doesn't treat all patients equally (based on other people's reviews) and didn't really care to have any standard of professionalism for his work. In addition, he is an unpleasant person. When I asked questions regarding my jaw issues, I was made to feel like I was wasting his time. He clearly wanted the appointment to be over even though he had only spent less than five minutes with me. Meeting him for the first time, I found him to be rude and having no standards of basic service. I was hoping to have dentist that I can go to that is within walking distance from my home. I recently visited Dr. Young for the first time for a simple pre-ortho bite assessment as he will be my primary dentist after my ortho treatment which begins next month. In what was supposed to be a quick appointment Dr. Young (thankfully) identified some concerns with his naked eye that were confirmed with his x-rays. We scheduled a second appointment to address the concerns and get the work done that was needed.
