    Chorizo Burrito!

The Chorizo burrito is amazing! The kids all ate all their food which is how you can tell it is really good. The service was also excellent. This place is now my go to breakfast spot in Pinetop.

This was the best breakfast I have ever had in the Show Low area. I love the mixed menu of country classics like biscuits and gravy, fancy benedicts and Mexican desayunos like chilaquiles. And everything is affordable. The atmosphere is not fancy just clean and orderly with uniformed bussers and servers feeding people. I'm going to focus just on what I ordered -- the green chili omelette. I thought this might be Chile Verde but not quite. It was a delicious mild Spanish sauce with bits of veggies and beef in it. It was on top of (as opposed to inside of) a cheese omelette. It was rich and perfectly seasoned. The pepper jack cheese inside my omelette was the only heat. Just right! The star was the biscuits and gravy though. Read my other reviews. I am constantly comparing and contrasting this deceptively simple American dish every chance I get. Lovely Bear gets a 10. Homemade buttermilk biscuit split with homemade gravy on top and lots of it. I'll never understand why some people order toast when B&G is an option. Bits of sausage and black pepper were in the gravy which can be used as a dip for the hand cut roasted potatoes that came with the omelette. I can't wait to return to try their homemade chorizo and carne asada.

    Chorizo eggs benedict

My Mom got the chorizo eggs benedict, which had a healthy portion, some of the best chorizo we had tasted and good home fries. I got the Lovely Bear Plate, with a Belgian waffle topped with berries, lemon curd and vanilla whipped cream along with perfectly cooked soft bacon & scrambled eggs. Great taste, friendly and efficient service. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.

We ordered at the counter and food was brought to our table. They brought fries for the kids meal instead of a fruit cup but quickly and graciously brought it out with a sincere apology. It was one of the best burgers I have had and all three types of fries were the perfect crispness and taste. Will definitely be recommending this anytime someone heads up to Show Low!

"Persnikkity's Food Offers a Lot: Hits the Hungry Spot"…read more Walking into Persnikkity in Show Low (which I have done many times from their old location to their new one), you immediately feel like you've stumbled onto something the town's been keeping to itself. The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

He ordered medium rare and the filet was perfectly cooked. He liked it better than Charlie Clarks, which is another good restaurant in the White Mountain area. I ordered the Citrus Salmon with Jasmine rice, which also included a side - I chose asparagus which some restaurants tend to overcook but not a problem at the Stockyard. I thought the Jasmine rice was okay. The choices at the salad bar appealing and made for a yummy salad. The ambiance has changed from when it was once the Hungry Buffalo, so don't compare. You can arrive casual but the menu and establishment is more refined but not stuffy. (No chicken strips that I saw for the kiddies that I saw.) Outdoors was a live band and people dancing. My husband I will be returning for more good food. I noticed there were some bad reviews and we almost didn't give it try but were glad we did. We hope the community and tourists will give this restaurant a try. It's worth your support.

Heads up folks, they don't season the meat unless you all for it to be seasoned!…read moreThe owner/manager was beyond rude! Told us that if don't have the money to pay we should not have come in, and told us to just leave. We left money on the table to pay for the other 2 meals that were eaten. We don't have a problem paying for our food, we have a problem with unseasoned meat that is over priced and tough. ($48 for a filet mignon) The owner took our steaks away, after 1 bite on one of the steaks and offered to give us 25% off, didn't offer to remake them, just took them away. It used to be a nice place, but that was the worst experience we have ever had. I don't think we will be back after that horrifyingly awful manager/owner and her overly rude comment. On a positive note, the server was fantastic even though the manager tried to made her the bad guy!
