Teas Galore! Yes, they love tea as well! Stop here for Jamaica to lower BP or enjoy another healing or traditional cup of tea.

Need a little bite? Yes, you'll find that here. Pretty pastries, sourdough, avocado toast, etc. How about gluten free? Yes! Love coffee? They got you. Your barista will even split a shot if you want 3 espresso shots and not 4, and milk options...yes! Their coffee Syrups do not contain artificial sugars. You won't feel yucky after craving your sweeter coffee here because no high fructose corn syrup. If you like coffee and espresso more than you like sugar, just ask for a half sweet, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I don't feel there's no need to ask for a quarter sweet latte at The Depot. Unwind or begin your day here. Nice music plays softly inside. A big patio area in the sun, or sit in shade on the front porch. Soon, there will be seating inside the beautiful bus outside (see it to understand and appreciate it). Want to read a book. Bring it! Want to quietly pass some time catching up on email or game quietly on your phone or iPad? Just quiet your speaker and enjoy relaxing. It's a girls' place. A guy's place. Welcoming energy. To me, coffee is an experience, a journey I enjoy, but it feels like I go alone more often - a vibey happy coffee shop is what I need. As a small business owner myself in a competive and sometimes stress filled time in commercial plumbing...I was accustomed to early mornings and a -go-go work life. Before that I was in education and teaching and an Extensionist from UofA. Meeting people is still my business, but at moments like THIS....its just a joy to unwind, and to watch people smile. Some are coming and going and others are looking to unwind or meet someone new. If they want to sit and chat I'm up for that. Mindfulness was my favorite part of my last position, stopping to chat and teach others how to slow down within just a few minutes. Coming here, that is way more possible - THE DEPOT makes this possible for anyone who has that need or desire. PineTop-Lakeside has a new coffee shop and it's worth the stop. It is worth the drive. And, you'll feel welcome here. (BTW I still love a few other shops on the Rim...but right now this will likely be my spot 75% of my time).

Such a cute little place. The indoor vibe is cute and cozy. Staff are incredibly nice and service is quick. I got the kids a rice crispy treat and it was delicious. Coffee was also really good, with seasonal rotations offered. There is a great outdoor space with room for kids to roam. Outdoors is also pet friendly. They even had a table that mentioned reserving for work meetings.

Their avocado toast was scrumptious and hit the spot for a late morning munching for me.

The café is small, quaint, spotless, and filled with playful bear décor that gives the whole place a warm, cheerful personality. It has the cozy feel of an old-fashioned country diner--the kind of place where you can settle in with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy a hearty, homemade breakfast. And let's talk about the food and those portions--OH MY! I ordered three eggs, bacon, hash browns, and homemade biscuits and gravy. Everything was cooked to order, arrived surprisingly fast, and tasted wonderful. The biscuits and gravy especially satisfied that serious comfort-food craving I had that morning. They were warm, filling, and exactly what I needed! The coffee was a good, strong black brew that fit the country-café experience perfectly, and the prices were exactly what I would expect to pay for such a generous breakfast. The restaurant was busy, and with only two waitresses working, they could definitely have used another set of hands. A few guests had to ask for coffee refills or their checks, but this is a brand-new restaurant, and I am sure they are still working out the little details. The staff was working hard, so bring a little patience and enjoy the experience. Lovely Bear Cafe has all the ingredients to become a local favorite: delicious homemade food, huge portions, reasonable prices, fun décor, and plenty of small-town charm. Give this new café a chance to delight you the next time you are visiting the Pinetop-Lakeside area!

A little advice: if you are going for breakfast, arrive early--especially on a weekend. Darbi's gets busy! But whether you are waiting for breakfast or lunch, trust me, it is worth it. The portions are enormous, the food is excellent, and this team clearly knows how to serve a crowd. They have the whole operation dialed in. The restaurant itself is adorable, full of personality, and has the kind of lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes a meal feel like part of the vacation. For lunch, Dan ordered the Monte Cristo, served on a French toast bun with raspberry compote for dipping. It was sweet, savory, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We shared it, of course! I ordered the green chile cheeseburger, and it was packed with flavor. Breakfast was a whole adventure. We ordered one cinnamon roll to share, not realizing it was approximately the size of four normal cinnamon rolls! We both laughed, cut ourselves a slice, and immediately asked for a box. It was warm, ooey-gooey perfection, loaded with cinnamon and butter and covered in cream cheese frosting. Honestly, it may have been the best cinnamon roll I have ever eaten. As though that were not enough, we had also ordered a side of bacon--four generous slices--and full breakfasts. We both chose the prime rib Benedict, and it was incredible. The eggs were large and beautifully colored, the English muffin was tender, the sauce was just right, and the hash browns had that perfect crispy crunch. Needless to say, we did not finish everything at either meal. Darbi's definitely believes in leftovers! The prices were very reasonable, and the waitstaff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming during both visits. Between the huge portions, creative dishes, fun atmosphere, and outstanding food, Darbi's is a must for breakfast or lunch in Pinetop. Go hungry, arrive early, and save room in the car for your leftover boxes!

Heads up folks, they don't season the meat unless you all for it to be seasoned!…read moreThe owner/manager was beyond rude! Told us that if don't have the money to pay we should not have come in, and told us to just leave. We left money on the table to pay for the other 2 meals that were eaten. We don't have a problem paying for our food, we have a problem with unseasoned meat that is over priced and tough. ($48 for a filet mignon) The owner took our steaks away, after 1 bite on one of the steaks and offered to give us 25% off, didn't offer to remake them, just took them away. It used to be a nice place, but that was the worst experience we have ever had. I don't think we will be back after that horrifyingly awful manager/owner and her overly rude comment. On a positive note, the server was fantastic even though the manager tried to made her the bad guy!

The mandatory buffet at $28.98 would be a bargain if they had a good cook or a chef. They must have put out the trays at 10 when they opened and when we came in at 12:15 the pancakes, the Benedict couldn't be cut with a steak knife. The prime rib was not available rare and could not have been any thinner. The prime rib and the ribs were so salty as to be almost inedible. What was left of the eggs had obviously been there over an hour. The sausage and bacon were dried out. The wait staff were friendly and it is a shame. They suffer from a cook with no taste and an owner who needs hearing aids. I hope before the word of mouth kills them that they get a cook who can cook or a consultation with a quality chef and rethink the music. Prime rib should be 1/2 inch minimum. Ribs should never be oversalted, and only make small amounts of foods for a buffet, replace items every half hour.

I tried the honey matcha one day and returned another morning for a sugar-free caramel iced coffee. Both were excellent! Finding coffee in Arizona that truly impresses me is not always easy--but Cyclelogical Coffee absolutely delivered! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the shop had such a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Several people were working on their laptops while enjoying their drinks, making it a great spot to relax, catch up on work, or simply plan your next Pinetop adventure. We also tried two of their breakfast burritos, and they were exactly what we needed before heading out for the day.
