Plus size bride here, street size 16-18. I came to Lovely at the end of my dress shopping day and was exhausted. But my experience was very, well, lovely. The owner helped me, and she was SO sweet. She was quiet, which is fine by me. But she had extensive knowledge of her gowns and what would look good on my body type. There were not a lot of gowns I could try on, but she worked harder than any consultant I've met with on finding a complete look for me. She was constantly leaving the room and coming back with accessories or a different dress that I didn't even realized I loved. (I didn't know I needed a cape, but I definitely do now.) She read my taste very well. For plus size, don't expect much to be able try on. Sample sizes aren't the friendliest. But if you want to see some well-curated designers in a gorgeous store and find some unique accessories, definitely come here. read more

This shop is absolute goals! Not only did I find my dress but my consultant lauren made it so fun and she was the absolute sweetest. From the moment you book they make it a point to get to know you and what your looking for. Asking for your Instagram and Pinterest and then following up with a phone call to chat more. This was my first stop on the search for the perfect wedding dress, and it was also the one where I found "the one"! I brought my mom, my aunt, and my cousin with me to look for a dress, and it was a great experience. Sarah helped with everything and more, and was happy to answer all the questions from the peanut gallery I brought with me. I discovered Lovely Bride after talking with my coordinator, looking for a romantic and boho inspired wedding dress. I absolutely enjoyed my time at Lovely Bride Dallas! For context, I am a plus size bride (14-16 street size) and had gone to 5 appointments at other stores before visiting Lovely. The staff, including the owner Tory, are so helpful and positive. They were able to take my concerns and wants into account to find the right dress for me. I feel Tory really listened to what I had to say. The staff was also fun to hang out with that made me feel really comfortable. I never felt pressured to purchase (even at a trunk show!) which I have at other boutiques. They are working on getting more curvy styles, and I was able to try some samples of actual dresses I liked that fit me that really helped me envision myself as a bride. She also told them to sit down because we have plenty of dresses. We were also rushed out and clearly no one else had an appointment that day. I was very excited about shopping here, and have waited several months to write this review because I thought I might have over reacted initially or misunderstood. When I arrived no one greeted me, and I waited several mins before Sarah did finally come talk to me. The only reason she came out I think was because I started walking around looking for someone so I could start my appointment because I had another across town and needed to keep a tight schedule. She then told me to wait and went to the back to finish what ever she was doing. My appointment was started late but I still had high hopes of finding my dress. When we started the appointment she didn't ask me any questions besides when my wedding was, what's my price range (which I stated a lower number than I actually could spend because I know they always try to talk you into more expensive dresses, this could have caused some of my problems) and what size I wear. No questions about what I wanted. She then quickly escorted me to the size that would fit me (I am a 14-16) and the below the price I stated. I asked about other dresses and she basically said they don't carry many dresses for women my size, or they were out of my price range. She cared very little while I was trying on dresses. I felt uncomfortable for about my size at that point and was also made to feel unimportant. I hurried through my appointment and honestly left very upset with a heavy heart. I had about 6 other shops I visited and I know that they normally don't carry many dresses above a 10, however I have no other store had made me feel insecure and unimportant. Maybe your experience could be different but personally I wouldn't recommend. read more

First off, the boutique is beautiful. I immediately felt at ease and excited to be there, we had just come from another bridal place and it was so overwhelming and just didn't feel bridal. Lovely bridal boutique was so calming and made the experience what it should be. Brooke was our consultant and she did wonderful. She was so sweet and helpful, our appointment even ran a little long and she didn't once make me feel rushed. The dresses are beautiful and a little more on the higher end of price (3,000-6,000) but they also have a beautiful off the rack section that had really nice prices. I came into lovely bride as my first appointment. I had been looking at some Sarah Seven gowns online for a while & knew I needed to get them "out of my system" before I could say yes to anything else. I tried on the two Sarah seven dresses I thought I wanted & neither were quite "it". Julia helped me into a few others by different designers and listened really well while I broke down what I liked and didn't like about each dress. Julia pulled a Sarah Seven dress that was not on any of my wish lists. It was instantly a good fit. Very flattering, with the perfect blend of everything I liked about the other dresses I tried on. I felt so beautiful in the dress and you could tell the reactions on my mom and sister's faces were different with this one. I still had another appointment that day, so Julia made sure I could come back later that day if I needed. At my other appointment, it became clear I had already found my dress. We returned to Lovely Bride and Julia was happy to help me back into my dress. By this time of day, the lighting in the salon was magic. Lovely Bride has the hype crew any bride could hope for. I had the full on Bridal moment you always hear about, and It was the first time I was actually able to envision myself as a bride. I will cherish that day for a long time. This bridal shop is gorgeous! The room offered privacy for my group and additional privacy while I changed, all in a beautiful, bright setting. Brooke was so much fun to work with and very patient! I tend to be a nervous talker and she calmly listened to all of my concerns/wishes. I fell in love with a dress that I cannot get in time for my wedding, when I attempted to go with my second favorite, Brooke could tell that I was not loving the dress as much as I should. I have a bit of a mixed review. I made an appointment and my bridal consultant was nice but not too nice. I did have a budget but I also had some room, which I mentioned to her. She kept me to four gowns even though there were others I would have liked to try on. We tried them all on twice and I was having trouble deciding between two of them and I felt some pressure to make a decision from her unfortunately, so I left and decided to sleep on it. I went back a week later and had a different consultant who let me try on a lot of dresses, way more range. I ended up with a really cool dress, bought off the rack and took it home that day. I loved their selection and the store itself is gorgeous however I was still not thrilled with the service I received- was kind of so so and when you are spending thousands on a dress, I feel like the service should be spectacular. read more

I love Lovely! I recently purchased my wedding dress from Lovely Bride in Uptown. It is the cutest salon...I immediately recognized the wallpaper (I'm an interior designer and I've used it on a project)! The entire shop is just beautiful - definitely the nicest and most modern way I saw wedding dresses presented. I made my first appointment online, which was hassle-free. Parking can be a little tight as there are only a few spots, but plenty on the street within a block or two. I eventually tried wedding dress at four other shops and found that all of my favorites were at this salon. Lovely caters to the creative bride, but there are many styles and brands here that would appeal to a wide variety of styles. Minimalist and maximalist. I personally loved the Marchesa Notte styles; Sydney, my stylist, followed up via email a few weeks later to advise me that they would be hosting a trunk show with more Marchesa styles. She sent me some images of dresses she thought I would like based off my first appointment - she was totally right! I made a second appointment to try a few more styles and found one I loved. I thought about it for a few months, but came back to Lovely to purchase my dress! I actually purchased on a weekend of another Marchesa trunk show - they offer discounts for brand purchases made during trunk show weekends. I had the BEST experience with Tory at Lovely Bride Dallas!!! I had already purchased a dress months ago, but it just didn't feel like "the one". So, my mom, sister, & I booked multiple bridal appointments just to see if I was crazy or if there was really something else out there for me. Lovey Bride was my first stop. The salon is so beautiful and welcoming and I felt completely at ease and like myself here. I felt no pressure to make a decision, as this was my first appt of the day. She laid out all the details for me as I would need a rush since my wedding is in 4 months. I took a couple weeks to think on it and when I returned we tried on the two I had narrowed it down to and can confidently say i now have THE ONE! They were so easy to work with, worked within my budget and timeline, and even worked with shipping the dress to me out of state. They made the experience so fun for me.
