I was honestly pretty fatigued by that point and it required a calm sales associate to help my bruised ego. Thankfully, Seattle Bridal Rack was AMAZINGLY sweet, gentle, and not pushy at all. Other bridal salons would try to bully me into buying a dress but here, they were kind and patient and let me process the dress itself. Months later I'm wearing it at my wedding and it is the most beautiful I ever felt. I am incredibly lucky to run across this dress. I found my dress in 30 minutes!! The ladies there are so supportive and kind. They give you space to shop around with zero pressure to buy. The dresses are all nicely organized by size lined up on racks. There was a great selection of size 0-12. The selection did get slimmer after size 16. I was worried they would all be outdated but they're not! (I saw multiple sample dresses in wonderful condition too) for size 10-12: Most were around $450 id say? I believe I only saw a few over $1k (highest one $1.3k?) and those were dresses retailing for $6k+ new. You're allowed 10 dresses per appointment, no more than 5 dresses at a time in the dressing room. The dressing rooms sit across from each other, so there will likely be people from other parties watching you try on dresses too if you choose to walk out of the room to extend the train or add a veil. A portable fan in the dressing room, which is genius. lol Not a lot of seating if you have a maximum guest appointment, so I'd save those appointments for the weekdays? However, there *was* 2 other parties there and it didn't feel crowded at all. I'm just shy One dress caught my eye IMMEDIATELY. A 2023 Sarah Alouache fully beaded head to toe, corset bodice, lace underlay gown. Are you kidding--A literal DREAM. I wish you could see the detail in person. Fit perfectly. It's stuningggggg. I thought for sure it was going to be at least $1.2k since it retails for almost $5k. But it was $800! Totally reasonable for a dress like this. I'm almost positive it's unaltered too which leads me to think this was a sample and never worn off the floor. TIP: The street parking was rough, you need to get there at least 15 min before your appointment (I recommended 30 on the weekends) There's cheap parking 2 blocks down at Roosevelt square. We parked right next to that for $1.75 for 2 hours on a Saturday. So extremely cheap for Seattle. The walk is very short!

Growing up in Seattle, Luly Yang was the first place we went to try on dresses. I was a bit nervous as I usually have a hard time finding dresses that fit perfectly and my mom is super judgmental. Meg and Stephanie greeted us and were so nice and welcoming. We tried on a few dresses and they really set the bar in regards to the fit, material and customer service. We had a few other appointments already set for the week, so I wanted to wait to see those appointments through before deciding and they were so understanding. (We had other studios who really tried to pressure us to purchase day of-even offering discounts). Another plus was there was no fitting fee to try on the dresses - unlike all the other studios we went to. We did end up coming back and getting my dress at Luly Yang. They were amazing through the whole process and they work with you through each step. I loved being able to design my dress and pick out the materials. Luly was also there to help make the dress look perfect and Mei was amazing with alterations. I can't wait to have to another opportunity to work with them in the future!

The entire environment from the smell to the beautiful pressed gowns in the windows, the white bridal room, the incredibly sweet team, and the attention to detail would make most people believe that the dresses are out-of-this-world expensive however, I think they are priceless because of how special, intentional and personal the entire experience can be. I worked with Ana and she was so incredibly sweet and made me and my girls feel so comfortable. One of my favorite parts of Floravere is that they don't make you feel pressured to spend a ridiculous amount of money on a wedding dress. I found THE DRESS here, and loved it more than any of the other dresses I had tried, a lot of which were three times the price. I can't recommend this place enough. Unlike BHLDN, it wasn't in an open space where other shoppers could gawk at you as they shopped, and other brides are also being attended to simultaneously. The privacy and attention to YOU is a huge bonus that elevates the entire experience.

I would NOT recommend the Bellevue Eltsa Bridal for your wedding dress!!! I took a leap of faith…read morewith Eltsa Bellevue based on the Greenlake reputation and felt like it was an uphill battle for my 7 weeks of alterations. I originally had a size 8 dress that Marina said was too tight to do any alterations to and apparently had no extra inseam material to work with (which was totally fine, I trusted her). I immediately ordered a new dress in size 12 to provide the proper amount of material she needed to work with, as she requested. Week after week I noticed little progress being made in the dress, even after expressing that the dress was a fit-and-flare/trumpet shape (also showing pictures of the dress from the designer's website, see first picture below). It was oversized and had no shape to it-- completely A-line shape instead of fitted. At week 5, she told me the next appointment would be my pick-up appointment and it looked like a sack (second picture below). When I expressed my concern for the dress looking A-line, with no shape that it was intended to have, she insisted there was nothing she could do to tailor the dress more. There was "nothing more to take in" even thought you could grab about an inch of extra material along my hips and there was plenty to take in down the thigh and back seams. I would call this out to her but she would dismiss me, and since I am not a seamstress, I trusted her. There were also instances where I felt gaslit into the dress being fine, for example, I pointed out the neckline was uneven from her tailoring and she would say she didn't see the unevenness. I had to be very firm and explicit in order to get things fixed, and even after I took my dress home, I still noticed some of the boning issues in the bodice weren't fully fixed. But I was exhausted at that point. I had to call Margo from Greenlake to come in and help because Marina was so resistant to helping. I was literally crying about how disappointed and sad I felt about my dress. Margo immediately knew what to do and my dress was transformed to my original request/the original shape of the dress. I was so happy with how it turned out after that but it was frustrating and disappointing to experience Marina's hesitation, resistance, and lack of understanding to fix the dress to help it fit my body. You will notice the dress is very simple with only one layer underneath. I'm surprised it was this difficult to accomplish with Marina but am grateful for Margo at Greenlake. Worth the drive to Greenlake for a better experience with your wedding dress!! Even with all the inconvenience, I still paid over $1100 and was charged for work that was done incorrectly. Definitely a learning experience but you only need a wedding dress once!!! Do it right with someone else. The first picture is my dress from the designer website. So, I will say that Marina was seemingly very nice, and for the most part, she was courteous and…read morehelpful. She "finished" my dress in time for her November vacation, but when I picked it up, there were a few things I was really unhappy with, which I'll list below. First, I will mention that I called Marina at the end of Sept for my mid-Nov wedding. 1. When I first called, she mentioned that she takes the entire month of Nov off, so the dress HAD to be finished before 10/31, which she said she could do, based on what I needed altered. (straps taken in, bodice/bust fitted to my size, high-slit added on one side, and bustle). After a few readjustment fittings, it seemed a little like she was rushing toward the end of the month, and she didn't exactly do/complete everything I wanted. 2. Besides the strap length and high slit, the biggest alteration needed on my dress was the bust size. The bust had boning and was FAR too large for my natural size. I asked her if she could adjust/fix it to fix my body, and she essentially said NO! She recommended adding padded sticky cups to fill it out, (which I did), but it STILL left a big gap at certain angles, and just looked far too large for my natural shape. This was the thing I disliked the most about my dress. A highly skilled seamstress would have been able to adjust this, and I feel like Marina said no because of her time constraints, and my opinion is that is a dishonest practice. 3. I picked up the dress around Oct 30th, and didn't realize it until after she was closed for November, but my dress was completely missing the hook clasp at the back!!! luckily the zipper went all the way up, so it didn't look horrible, but not having it on my wedding day meant the dress wasn't quite as secure/fitted as it should have been. I was really upset about it for a moment on my wedding day.. When all was said and done, I still found a way to feel great on my wedding day, but these adjustments would have gone MILES to help me feel more beautiful and stress free. I paid nearly $1k in alteration fees, and still really didn't get the dress exactly as I wanted. I almost wish I hadn't used venmo. TLDR: It seemed like Marina cared more about getting a client in/out than helping me feel my absolute best on my wedding day. If you just need basic adjustments (hem, straps), Eltsa Bridal and Marina could be a great option for you. If your dress needs more complex adjustments, go to a more skilled seamstress, as the cost will end up the same.

And I was a bit scared that Callista was new in the business. Well, as I found ou later, they had actually been in the business forever now. It's their family business for generations, and they worked in Europe before moving to the US. I could not believe how professional the owner was. She helped to make up my mind about what I want exactly and showed the catalog of dresses that they had, which by the way was super extensive. Did I mention that the appointment took place at my house? I was not feeling well that day but there was no time to miss and they have an option of coming over to the place wherever it is more comfortable for the customer. Great, right? SO after going through so many dresses, that they did not even have put up on their web-site.( I must say they don't have much on the web-site at all, but when I met with the owner, she had tons of models to choose from. She said they are still developing their web page), we ended up chosing one of the dresses, but I also could change some of the details which I liked in other dresses. So, basically, I ended up with creating my very own dress. Delivery was very timely. And I'm really glad I gave them a shot. Now my best friend is getting married in 4 monhs and she's already ordered a dress with Callista. I would absolutely recommend it to everyone.

However, their quote was DOUBLE the price of the dress which defeated the purpose of buying it at the sample sale. After doing a bit of research I found and reached out to Zeita studios and after our first consultation I was quoted almost 50% LESS THAN Nordstrom!! I said yes and never looked back. Not only did Sarah Mosher do it for less but she had an even better idea that did not damage the dress. She was super flexible and I ended having my mom and fiancé go get their alterations done there as well! Zeita even offers a service where you can have your pictures taken once the alterations are complete. The space is beautiful and they were AWEESOMMMME when it came to timeliness and consideration for dates. If you're looking for quality service and flexibility look no further! These ladies have it down, and if you're lucky, you'll run into the cutest, smiliest baby ever!

Not only were the Zeita ladies receptive to what I wanted done, they even worked with me to find ways to lower the price since they understood that alteration fees can sometimes be costly. Each visit with the Zeita ladies left me feeling reassured about the work being done. For my final appointment, they even did a mini photo shoot with my finished dress since I had a hair + makeup trial that day. In general, they made me feel so loved through the whole process, and they were hands-down one of the friendliest vendors I worked with while planning my wedding. Although my dress got kinda ruined day-of (I had an outdoor wedding so it was stepped on frequently + dirt stains), I felt confident, beautiful, and comfortable wearing it which is exactly how you want to feel about your dress on your wedding day.
