I booked an online haircut for "short" (there is no description for what short, medium, or long…read moremeans, I had slightly below shoulder length hair and wanted it cut to be above two inches). When I got to the shop I was immediately asked who I booked with and what it was for. They did not ask my name to look me up. When I said Michael they asked me to take a seat. Two ladies and Michael then gathered around the front desk 3 feet away from my chair and offered to take the appointment for him. He asked the ladies why it was booked for him and they said it was online. He sighed rolled his eyes and said "No I will do it". He told me it would be a medium cut as short was around the ear length. Once I got in the chair he was friendly. But he did not listen to me about what I wanted my cut to be and he kept correcting me on my terms for hair-cutting tools and how I did not want it done. He did it the way he wanted and my hair did what I told him it would (I have thick, fine, straight-as-a-board hair) it fizzed out and looked like someone chopped at it instead of doing layers or thinning underneath where it is not visible. That is the only way to give me volume and take the weight off without giving weird frizz lines in my hair. Then they charged me for a long haircut without saying why I was charged for long and not medium. It took 27 mins to do my hair and I have never been so ready to be out of a salon. Do not go here if you are looking for a cut. Do not book with Michael if you want the price you were originally told and do not come if you don't want them to comment on your coloring and try to upsell you to fix it.

I thought my hair was completely hopeless and it was not only broken at the ends and fried and super dry from the chemicals but it also had an orange-yellowish tint to it that no cover ups or toner could cover up or lift. Let me tell you, she was not only a savior in helping bring my hair back to life, but she also made it look amazing, feel super soft and manageable and brought it back to health completely. I now have actual baby hairs at the top pf my hair and super healthy locks that look and feel incredible. I didn't think it was possible, but with her magic and special touch it just happened! And she is also super down to earth and sweet and is always learning, improving and mastering her craft, which I really appreciate and resonated with because I understand how difficult that can be, as it takes serious commitment, time and effort to do so. Everyone I encountered here (including the lady at the front desk and cleaning) is friendly & caring, creating a welcoming space. I love the peaceful grounding vibes throughout the place from the different treatment rooms, cozy quiet space (waiting area), aromas, coffee and tea bar and serene music playing. I like how a robe and slippers are provided to relax in. It definitely has a very fancy vibe which I wasn't sure about at first, but the whole experience has been good! Everyone is excellent at what they do. I highly recommend and will be saving up to come back again. Im honored to have them be the ones who were the first in allowing me experience these things.

I live in Los Angeles, and we were excited about relaxing and being pampered for a bit. Despite the fact that the spa sits in the midst of a complex with hard-to-find addresses and absolutely no signage outside, we managed to locate the place and arrive on time. From the moment we entered, it was obvious that something was off. The reception area was empty, save for a lone masseuse who casually walked past us without making eye contact, and a receptionist who continued her phone conversation for ten minutes before bothering to look up--no greeting, no "I'll be with you in a moment", no smile, no nothing. Seemingly oblivious to our presence, along with the fact that we were now running into our appointment time, she chattered on. When at last she hung up the phone, she looked up and asked if we were there for appointments. We confirmed that we were, and she informed us that, unfortunately, there was a problem. She stated that there was only one masseuse present (apparently the one who had completely ignored us when we entered) because the other one doubled as a midwife and had left to deliver a baby. (You can't make this up!) When asked why we hadn't been notified before our arrival, she stated that they had tried unsuccessfully to reach my sister's phone. Given that it was my brother-in-law who actually made the appointments, we asked if they had called him. No, they hadn't. No reason. She went on to state our options: one of us could receive treatment as scheduled, or both of us could either return later in the afternoon or the following day. Neither option worked for us, so we left. To be clear, I understand that unpredictable things happen. However, the chilly reception, the blatant rudeness we were met with from the moment we walked in, and the failure to contact us ahead of time left a very bad taste in my mouth. I can think of many ways I would rather have kicked off my final day of vacation in beautiful Tyler, Texas. If you're looking for a spa that will honor its appointments and treat you with courtesy and respect, I suggest you look elsewhere.
