My friend and I stopped here for a pedicure on a Wednesday evening. Not knowing the area well I wasn't sure about this place. Of course Yelp was screaming no don't go since the reviews of this place are absolutely horrible. My friend had gotten a few pedicures here and said they were decent. Upon entering the facility they had openings for two pedicures. Perfect! We picked out our polish and sat in the pedicure chairs. The chairs were massage chairs which was nice since a pedicure is a time to relax. As the pedicure were getting started and I could decide between 1-5 of what type of pedicure I wanted. Basically meaning how much of a pedicure I want based upon services and prices. A basic pedicure with no callus removal starts at $24 and goes up to $35-40. I decided on a pedicure with callus removal and sea salt scrub. Overall the pedicure was good. The color turned out nice and I noticed later that he may have wanted to do a quick touch up on the polish left on my skin. Being a perfectionist it was something I noticed. read more

Trinh did a great job, and offered me a new type of nails called "sns" that's supposed to be healthier and more natural. I dropped my dog off at Petsmart next door for some grooming and had some time to kill. I read some of the review, but thought "hey - this is better than waiting in my car or dealing with South Park Meadows traffic on a Sunday." It was better than traffic, but not by much. First, it was not busy. Yet, my feet soaked until the water was cold. Second, I upgraded to the "best" pedicure, which was mediocre at best. The towels were cold. The stones used for the massage was cold. Again, my water was cold. I was cold. Third, the price. For $40 I can get sooo much more at any salon I've been to. Finally, I bring my own nail polish. My shellac manicure didn't even last a week without peeling off 3. My pedicure started chipping 2 days after it was done 4. If I could leave 0 stars I would.. My boyfriend and one of my girlfriends decided to come here because our favorite place was booked. We came here out of convenience without checking any reviews. Boy do we wish we had checked ahead of time. First off there wasn't many nail techs available. I got my eyebrows done and it was uneven and barely left me with any brow left. I did not get any sort of massage during my manicure and pedicure. My boyfriend's nails were cut too short and still hurt after 3 days of getting them done. They are uneven, cuticles were bleeding. I popped in here to get a pedicure last weekend. I chose the #3 which includes the sea salt scrub and a 16 minute massage. The massage was great and my feet were as soft as a baby's bottom by the time the technician was done. There was little to no conversation with the tech. I might be an odd duck, but I enjoyed that as I hate making small talk at the salon; I go to relax. But, if you're in the mood to gab, this may not be the joint for you. My only complaint was I had to wait for 15+ minutes and my partner, who was with me, waited for over thirty. In town for a convention and an employee at the hotel recommended Trinh and Tina at What Lovely Nails located at 9300 IH 35. Do not waste your time making an appointment on the website that comes up on the Google search. It is not for their location. Neverless, I had gel/shellac nails when I arrived to this clean nail shop (we all know how important a clean nail shop is). Trinh introduced me to the dipped powder nails and I absolutely love my nails. She was very knowledgable in explaining the pros and cons regarding various nail techniques. Her professionalism and insight helped me make an educated decision regarding the change from the gel nails. This is now my dedicated nail shop for Austin and I will be going back. read more

I just paid $60 for a pedicure and shellac manicure which were not to my standards. The lady doing my shellac rushed and everything looks messy. If I could leave 0 stars I totally would, because I have not been been to a worse nail salon before. I am appalled with what terrible service I recieved. I went in to get my solar nails taken off and the owner completely ripped the top half of my nail causing it to bleed. I let him finish and he was fully aware I was hurt. He claims he had said sorry, but I did not hear a sorry. At the end I was unsure whether he would charge me so I asked is there anything else you need from me. He had said no you're done. So I waited by the front but he didn't say anything so I figured he was just gonna let me leave. So then i processed to walk out. After getting out the door he had yelled for me to come back in and I told him I thought he wasn't going to make me pay because he hurt me. He then went on how he did not purposely hurt me and it was not his fault. That he did not hurt me. I even said I understand it wasn't intentional but if you get in a car accident you don't purposely hurt the other person, but if you do you don't make them pay for it. You do, because it was your mistake. After 20 min of arguing, and I had told him I would pay for half even his employees were saying let her go, let her go. I even gave him 5$ but he would not stop yelling. I was raised not to walk away when being spoken to so I waited until he was finished. I finally paid full price to leave and took pictures to send to the complaint place, because he had said he was going to call the cops on me. He says it's my fault that I kept my nails on too long, but in the 3 years I've gotten nails this is the first time something like that has happened. Also I find puppies adorable, but I didn't find it appropriate that his chihuahua was walking around around my legs (I'm allergic too) and sitting on his chair while he was doing my nails. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I'm new to Austin & just started looking around for a new nail place. This was my first attempt, & I am extremely unhappy. The pedicure wasn't all that bad, but I hate how the girl made my toenails round. Such an ugly look. The fill was, by far, the worst I've ever gotten. I've been getting my nails done for 15 years, & never experienced anything like this! The manicurist clearly didn't understand that you're supposed to file the ACRYLIC when shaping the nail, not the actual nail! He cut into the sides of my actual nail/finger, & even left one bleeding! I'm going to end up with several ingrown nails once they start growing back out. My poor nails have never been through such hell. Plus, they look terrible. On top of it, they charge you an extra $2 if you want an accent nail done. Seriously? Because I had 2 different colors done, on TWO nails, you're going to charge me more? This place is awful. They also have a little dog running around the shop, that they sit up on the manicure tables. Talk about unsanitary. I will never come back to this place, & highly discourage anyone from ever wasting their money here. Edit (4/21): not even 24 hours, & I'm already having to get a nail fixed. Went in June for my brother's wedding. I was in a rush due to a hair appointment and didn't have the time to find another salon so I looked up the closest to me in South Park Meadows and found this place near Walmart. This was the worst mani-pedi I've ever received. They had me wait fifteen minutes while one of their manicurists came back from lunch. The woman at the front desk had to call him two times to get him into the salon. She started my pedicure because I was waiting so long. He gets there and starts working on my hands while I'm getting my toes done. He's rough and keeps pulling my hand and arms in awkward positions to accommodate his work. He files down my nails to basically nothing and rolls his eyes when I tell him he's cutting too much of my cuticle. He's working fast but sloppily. Then once I'm finished with my pedi, I'm not allowed to sit there because they're trying to rush another client through. So I have to move mid-manicure to a desk. He begins my gel acrylics and once he's done they are the thickest and most uneven square cut set I've ever gotten. He didn't compare each nail to each other to make sure they were the same size. I have to leave in a hurry so I don't notice that one of my thumbs is a good half centimeter longer than the other. The difference was so noticeable I had to cut and file the nail myself so that my nails wouldn't look like a complete wreck for my brother's wedding. The next day I soaked them off as fast as I could. I will never go here again and I advise anyone else to steer clear. In addition, this place's sanitization practices are not up to code. The salon is disgusting and does little to clean or properly disinfect their tools. I'm lucky I didn't end up with a more serious problem or infection in my nails. My natural nails were wrecked and if I had thought about it at the time (we left after the wedding on vacation) I would have disputed the charge which was around $70.00 after tip. It's too late now but my experience was that bad. I came In for a pedicure. I waited 20 mins or so to get helped. I thought I was going to be helped at first since they told me to sit at one of the stations. The first station was filthy. Looked like it wasn't clean after the first person. Never touched it. A guy was passing by and put me in another one and my feet were running under very hot water! I told him it was hot, he some what fixed it and left to help someone else. Sat there with my feet under water for 20 mins. After 20 mins of seeing I wasn't being helped and someone being helped after they had just gotten there made me realize enough was enough! I took my feet out the water and put my sandals and left. They apologized and wanted me to stay but I don't have another 30 mins to kill. read more

Went to this place with a girlfriend of mine to relax and just chat, not only did these guys PUSH a product we didn't even want on us, but they even added the product after we said we didn't want it..then proceeded to charge us. I looked at my nails DID NOT LIKE THEM! but it was late at night and the guy said come back tomorrow if needed. Went back next day to be told by a different guy my nails look fine to him. I said you can fix them the way I want or refunding my money would be appreciated. He said no refund! So, I informed him I am being nice and offered for him to fix them (giving them another try) he said come back another time...please not only one person was in the shop and he had major attitude (lip smacking and picking at teeth). I then informed him I was no longer going to be nice if he did not give me my options on a good resolution for both of us. He said "sorry it yo problem" after pretty much scolding the guy. I then left to never go back. Two days later my co worker (friend) came up to me with bandages on her finders saying that they are infected, hurt and she needs to go to the ER for antibiotics or something. A day later she informed me that its possible she had received an infection from this place and there unclean tools. PLEASE SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! or go to STYLIN Nails in the same facility.
