First time coming here and got a mani and pedi. I opted for the basic package and these ladies keep pushing me to upgrade. I know I had 1 problem area and it was a callous from all the walking i've been doing. At first she said it was free to remove (which hurt a lot as she was basically cutting it off and not sanding it off) and then I saw the tagged fee at the end. Not good. I picked a pink color for both hands and feet but during the middle of my service, another customer wanted the exact color and they gave it her while my toes dried,. I had to wait for that other ustomer to finish before they would start on my hands. I just didn't appreciate the extra time I had to wait for someone else when I had selected the color first. By the way, the manicure color came off within 5 days so I had to go and buy the same brand and color to refill. My pedicure was still find and I am still recovering from the callous removal job and it's been 2 weeks! Luckily no infection. read more

Lee was my nail tech, very meticulous work, friendly and couldn't ask for more. 5 dollars more than my usual spot for a gel fill for acrylic but worth it than sitting in traffic. I loved the fact that they took me and my daughter 20 minutes before they closed. HOWEVER, $18 for a spa pedicure w/$5.00 callous remover would have been fine if not for the sloppy rushed job. She didn't push my cuticles back or trim them. She got globs of polish on my skin and left it there. My daughter was annoyed that the tech was talking the whole time and not paying attention to what she was doing. Bottom line...we could have done a better job! read more

I've gone to this place every time now. Everyone is the sweetest. Make appointments or call to see availability. Most days walk-in isn't a problem. But then sometimes they are so busy. Could be an hr sometime. It's not big deal to me cuz other places disappoint me every time. Then I'll have them fix it. I feel like family here. They recognize me and we talk up a storm. They are cash tip only. 2$ fee on card. Kinda annoying but it's a business. Tips through venmo or zelle is acceptable. I think this place is very convenient for me. I'm always on the go. I have been a client of this place for many years... and after all the time we were in quarantine for the COVID-19 they finally open. So, I went on June19th. I paid $90. For pedicure and full set of acrylic nails!!! Same nails that fell off 3 days later!! (4 of my fingers without nails again after only 3 days)!! I texted Annie, who has been the person who attended me all the time, who I thought was going to be apologetic for the poor job she performed... instead she replied: " from the $90. Only $39. Was for me... a lot of work for $39. ( she texted me) Seriously? For a full set? My card shows a charge for $90. Dollars!! Besides... where is her professionalism for a customer? It has been only 3 days!!!! After all, I have been a customer of that place for years!!! Doesn't make any difference??? What a disappointment. Hands down one of the worst experiences. Never asked what type of pedicure service I wanted, the employee proceeded todo what she wanted pretending not to understand me. There was no cleaning of the bottom of my feet and 1 minute massage if that. So disappointed in trying to support my local business. My wife used to visit this place very often also she encouraged me to get my nails done here, they were doing a great job at begging, but my wife stopped going and said they were not good anymore. Little more than one year I decided to try them again. Now the just cut the nails without paying attention, the last 2 times my nails were UNEVEN (bad job). I called here at 6:45 asking when they closed, they said 7. Then they asked when I could be there by... and I said 7. Then they told me to come!! And they'd give myself & my two coworkers mani/pedis. PERFECT!!! I got the second pedi for a couple bucks off (she convinced me and I had to for staying late)... and damn it was kinda painful. But not a bad painful. First, when she clipped around my toes it hurt, but she scrubbed the crap out of the bottom of my feet and they feel like a baby's bum right now. So I can't complain about the pain. Got a gel mani too (see picture) and they had a ton of gel colors to choose from. They ladies were really nice & talkative, which was good because I was pretty buzzed from the Korean BBQ place across the parking lot. Total came to $50. Felt a little pricy only because I'm from Sacramento & I heard mani/pedis are much cheaper here typically, but that usually around what I pay for a mani/pedi anyways. They were quick. I walked in and they said they can see me in 30 minutes I told them I would wait. About 20 minutes into waiting a group of girls walked in and you can tell she was a regular as her and the nail techs were on first name basis. They did not have an appointment because the group of girls asked how long the wait was. They sat them right away and ignored the fact I was waiting and I stood up and asked and they said oh we have to do them first. I walked in and I wasn't even acknowledge, one lady just looked at me, since she didn't even greet me. I said " Hi do you have any walk in appointments? Her reply was "What do you want? " So I told her a spa pedicure. I felt like I walked in to the DMV very hostile environment. She pointed at the chair and said " go there" ! Giving me an attitude. Not even looking at me. I sat down . She waiting for like 10 mins . I ask can I pick my color and yelled at me to " sit down" ! Then a lady walks in and tells me to get out the chair, because she was going to sit there. My teenager wanted to treat herself with a manicure before school started so she and a couple of girlfriends went to Lovely Nails. She texted me a little while later in tears with a pic of the hot mess that she was going to have to pay for out of her hard earned money. Honestly, it looked like a toddler did the work. I told her to stick up for herself and ask them to re-do the nails or she would not pay for it. She did so and the nail tech got super irritated. She got physically rough with my daughter while she was re-doing the nails -- and let me tell you, that woman is damn lucky that I was not on the premises. My daughter came home with nail file cuts (much like paper cuts) all over her fingers because this vicious tech was angry that she had to re-do her dismal mess. The owner, Annie, was fully aware of what was going on the whole time, so shame on her. These techs see teens and young girls come in and they take advantage of their inexperience and give them the crappiest of techs. Another tech yelled at my daughter's friend, too, because she asked the tech not to start the French nail line half way up her nail bed!! This business is a joke and they deserve ZERO STARS. read more

On the plus side: -great color selection -nicely greeted I got handed to Vee, she was rushed (no wait, no one came in) and not happy to see me or perform my service. She tugged and threw each hand/finger as she worked. $13 for a manicure and I did not tip, they spoke in their language and never made me feel relevant or welcomed. Manicures are not just a necessity to me, but a time to relax and enjoy myself. Vee made it impossible for me to do either. I won't come back. read more

They did not do callous removal no massage plus they cut my friends toenail it was bleeding very bad they did not apologize but blamed her! I have been going to Lovely Nails for several years. Annie does my acrylics and never, ever tries to rip the old ones off my nails. Everything is clean and sanitized and they always make me feel welcome. Their English is excellent for a Vietnamese nail salon - several of the ladies are close to fluent. If not, they nod and pretend to understand anyway! Annie must have my number on speed dial, because when I call for an appointment she always knows it is me calling. I finally convinced my thrifty mom to start going for manicures and she has been getting the new gel manicure here - it lasts her a full month and her hands are constantly in water. Only $25. My mom has cancer and is going through chemo - they are extra careful with her and they are very sweet to her as well - she gets a group hug whenever we come in. We both feel very close to the team here. I have been to many nail salons and I am loyal to the ones I like. I can understand why some people may have negative comments, but I recommend this place because I have always been treated like a valued customer. read more

This is by far the worst nail place I have ever been to in my entire life!!! Walking in here I was greeted with a, "hello, what do you need?" I responded with a polish change ( I use gel polish btw) I like to look up pictures on Pinterest to get an idea of what I want. Doing so I found the picture and showed it to the lady who was to do my nails, I asked her 3 times before even doing my nails if she can achieve the look I wanted, she said yes. Needless to say the design came out horrible and chunky! I don't want to go into more detail about how it looked like my 3 year old baby sister did my nails but I will spare you the details! Finally I mustered up the courage to say I hated the way it looked and the lady removed it! I should have taken this as a sign to jump ship immediately but instead I chose to go forth and allow her to just put a solid color on my nails! BAD IDEA!!!! Even just doing a solid color looked horrific! I spent a total of 2 hours in this place and left with a rookie job on my finger nails! This experience has taught me that if you find a place you love to go to don't try and find a different one because the service you get and the job you receive will always be under par! I used to get my nails done all the time at this place before COVID and their work had always been good. The last time I was here with my sister we had to wait around for so long since they only had one nail tech available at the time. She had to go back and forth doing my nails and my sister's nails making the process extremely long and frustrating. After this experience I was already disappointed & ready to find a new place, but decided to give them another chance since I have always liked their work. I recently decided to stop by and get my nails done with my sister & as always we went in as walk in's. We were not greeted by anyone at the door & when someone finally decided to help out we informed her of what we needed & she started communicating it with who I believe might be the owner. She then asked if we would be paying with cash which we never have before because their business clearly states they accept credit/Debit payments so when we told her we were paying with card she proceeded to communicate that to the same lady once again. She then asked if we could pay with Venmo which to us it was extremely weird because we have never been asked to pay this way before. At that point we started feeling uncomfortable since she was asking too many questions and at the same time was being told on what to say by the other lady rather than having her communicate directly with us. My sister and I both felt as if they used the payment excuse so they wouldn't take us since since they looked busy at the time and we would've totally understood if they had just simply said that rather than making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. read more
