Well, they are a find! We called them after having Love's recommended by one of the gas fireplace dealers that carried the brand in our home (we'd purchased the house a few years ago). The fireplace is probably 25 years old and no idea when it had been last serviced. Porter from Love's basically reconditioned it-- new paint, some new parts and a thorough tune-up. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for fireplace repairs. We've had a technician out three separate times, and our fireplace still isn't functioning. Despite following every piece of advice provided--such as keeping the pilot on and attempting manual starts--the unit fails within 24 hours of every "repair." We scheduled service for 8:00 AM. Anton arrived right on time and went right to work. He completely disassembled our fireplace and thoroughly cleaned, adjusted inspected and even touched up some areas that needed paint. After reassembly we fired it up and were amazed at how well it worked. This is an older fireplace but it runs as good as new again. We had another company quote us for a new gas valve, so we went to Love's Fireplaces for a second opinion. Not only did we not need a new gas valve, but the excellent review of the status of our fireplace by Ethan showed several other things that needed attention which he corrected without any additional charge other than their service charge. When he left our fireplace was working like a charm and Love's saved us over $800 by not having to have the gas valve replaced. After some frustrating experiences with other fireplace companies (no shows, zero follow up, terrible communication, etc.) I contacted Loves Fireplaces and the owner's son, Anton Bahr, installed a new gas system and moved/repaired one of my existing gas fireplace inserts. We had an issue with the new system, but Anton was absolutely diligent in finding and fixing the problem. He came back at least 5 times until the problem finally revealed itself and he and his brother fixed it. Not only did they not charge extra, Loves didn't charge me a penny due to the "inconvenience!" I actually argued to pay at least half but they refused. Anton was a total professional, being careful to keep our house clean while working on the fireplaces and paying close attention to every detail. In a day and age when so many service companies overcharge and do mediocre work with poor communication, Loves Fireplaces stands above.
