Makes you feel like you're on a ship going deep sea fishing for fresh seafood. Teresa was the server I had. She was so sweet and broke everything down. They have happy hour on select food and beverage items from 12-6pm Monday through Friday, but go ALL DAY Sunday so this is the place to be. You're entertained the moment you walk in as they have an upbeat playlist for guests to sing/dance along to & also have some TV's throughout for those who want to stay in the know. Food was also really well prepared & served HOT. No complaints at all. As of now they also provide guests with a 10% off coupon if you share your experience with them on Facebook, IG, Google or Yelp so don't be afraid to take advantage. I'll definitely be back!

I ordered the Coddle Plate ($18.95), which is described as tilapia and jumbo shrimp sautéed with…read morehouse seasonings, topped with a creamy cheese sauce mixed with pico de gallo, served with basil white rice. What I received was completely inedible. The tilapia was burnt and tasted almost rotten, not just overcooked but scorched to the point where the flavor was overpowering and unpleasant. The shrimp were also burnt to a crisp. The tails were visibly blackened, not charred for flavor, but burned. I managed maybe three bites before having to stop. No amount of cheese could cover how bad the fish tasted, and it honestly felt like the cheese was being used to mask a serious cooking issue. This was a complete waste of nearly $20. I also ordered the Grits & Gumbo, described as deep-fried grits with a crunchy exterior topped with house seafood gumbo. The grits were hard and bland, not flavorful. The gumbo itself was disappointing: the roux was thin and bitter, lacking depth or seasoning. The only decent part of the dish was the shrimp, but that alone couldn't save it. I finished the gumbo, so I'm not expecting a refund there, but the coddle plate absolutely should be refunded. It was genuinely inedible. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Flying Fish will not be getting any more of my business. Whoever is running the kitchen does not understand execution, seasoning, or basic seafood preparation. Strongly do not recommend.

However, this location in my opinion is the weak link among all the Dallas Ft Worth locations. My fried catfish and shrimp combo accompanied by fries and 2 hush puppies did the trick. The decor as all the others is nuvo bait shack which I love. All in all, if you're hunting " seafood" in this area, their extensive menu will surely satisfy One of your cravings.

My friends and I are on a cross country road trip and were really craving a seafood boil--We found…read morethis spot on Yelp, about 15 minutes from our hotel, so we decided to check it out. -- Combo #1, which lets you pick 3 out of 4 seafood options for $47, plus corn, sausage, and potatoes. We chose crawfish, mussels, and shrimp head-on with Cajun&Garlic butter--it tasted super tangy for some reason, I think they may have accidentally added lemon pepper but it was good still. --My other friend got 1 lb of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp with mild Louisiana sauce, which was sweet and buttery. The Louisiana sauce is definitely the go to choice, if you dont know which to get. --We also got rice (a bit dry but perfect for soaking up the sauce) and steamed broccoli, which was cooked deliciously. -- And the only other thing I would mention, is the shrimp and mussels were of good size but the crawfish was on the skinnier/small size.. a little disappointed but still great, nonetheless. The service was great, and everyone was really friendly. Ambiance wise, the store is small and decorated with a beach shack vibe.
