Very cool inside, decorated like your at the pier in these elevated cozy booths. Music give great vibes. Service always great, checking to see what we needed even after asking for the bill. Food is good, very fresh. Great happy hour options for both food and drink, including coctails.

Can't wait dig into these.... crawfish!!!! With the big bang all Seasonings!

The service here was pretty good at the bar. The 2 young lady bartenders were nice and attentive. The food came out pretty quick as well. The mozzarella sticks we got for an appetizer were just ok... more of a frozen taste. However the fried catfish and shrimp basket as well as the crawfish and crab boil were tasty. Fried well and boil was not overcooked. A bit of hot sauce did the trick so far as the extra seasoning we desired. Overall the spot was cool... We can tell the place brings a crowd as well!

. I got the seafood special for $31, which included half a pound each of shrimp, crawfish, and crab legs. It was a great deal -- the portion was just right and I left feeling full and satisfied. Everything was cooked well: the crawfish weren't soggy, and the shrimp were perfectly done. I asked for mayo on the side; it took a little while to get it since they were a bit busy, but that was the only minor delay. Overall, the food was 8.5/10. I'll definitely be coming back -- this spot is easily one of the better seafood places in my area. There are so many crawfish spots around that sell boils, and most of them use the same kind of sauce. I've enjoyed plenty of them, but some places serve crawfish that are too small or drench everything in too much sauce. This spot, though, had the perfect balance -- good-sized crawfish, a well-seasoned but not overwhelming sauce, and it was all pretty affordable for what we got. Definitely a place to come back.

Came here to try since it's been rebranded. The inside is trendy and decorated in nautical theme so it was a nice touch. There's also a place to wash your hands right outside the bathroom which is convenient since your hands will be messy despite the gloves they give you. We ordered fresh oysters to start with and they were pretty big in size. All the food started to come in order fast, barely no wait. Butter garlic noodle was flavorful and was a nice side to balance out with the main seafood. We ordered the pier 88 set with extra green mussels and crawfish. It was a big platter of food for the two of us!! We had the Cajun spice for the seafood boil- it was a bit too heavy on the seasoning for us because it overwhelmed everything else. Our server Sam did offer us extra butter to spread the seasoning out more and we should've listened to his advice. But the quality of the food was fresh and seasoning levels can be subjective when it comes to seafood boil, so I'm leaving the review as 5 star. Overall I think this is a casual fun place to have dinner. We really enjoyed Sam's service because his enthusiasm brightened up the place. Try to catch him if you can!

Mussels, crab and crawfish...sauce was great and so was the service! We'll definitely be back.

Ordered a special and substituted shrimp for mussels. The flavor was all mixed and spicy. It was very good and so was the service, we'll definitely be back!

Walking in the host was super nice, we were seating , the restaurant itself super clean , INCLUDING THE BATHROOM. I love the extra sink area they have to wash your hands. The food was super good , probably the best seafood I've had in a long time ! Hot & fresh !

I'm excited for this experience. Let's GET IT Pier88!

This is what a Seafood Spot is all about! Pier 88 at the corner of Walnut Hill & Plano Parkway is an exceptional Boiling Seafood and Bar. Let me tell why! What used to be Boiling Crab, Pier 88 has taken the space and transformed it into an establishment committed to excellence! The atmosphere is electric with a variety of music, several t.v's and a tank with the freshest Seafood for your choosing. An ample bar sits in the middle and ties together the nautical theme. When we walked in, we were greeted by a Hostess and promptly introduced to the specials and Happy Hour. Our server Hannah, was a delight! She patiently took us through the menu and the options that they offered. Hannah was attentive and good spirited. Especially when it took us 10 minutes for a group of 4 to order! Nothing like family reminiscing! As we know, Pier 88 offers the traditional boiled and fried selections that you would expect. However, what really makes Pier unique, is that they offer a Hong Kong Style which consists of fried seafood that is then tossed in a "dry rub" seasoning that specifically compliments their live whole crab and lobster! For today's visit(because there ABSOLUTELY will be more) we ordered a Fried Shrimp Po'Boy w/ cajun fries, Fried Catfish Po'Boy w/fries, Fried Shrimp Basket w/fries, Onion Rings, and 88 Boiled Seafood Bag. The Po'Boy's were picture perfect! Soft, durable, French bread, stuffed with Lettuce, tomatoes, spicy tarter sauce and a side pickle spear. The catfish fillet was well seasoned and piping hot(which applies to all the food). The coating had a snap, that was a beautiful introduction to the moist, flaky interior(nothing worse than dry, overcooked Catfish, which you WILL NOT find here)! The Shrimp Po'Boy was packed with shrimp the size of fifty cent pieces! They were large, golden, and cooked just right! The fried shrimp was the exact same way! Best of all, the tail was removed so you can enjoy the entire bite. The Onion Rings was the stuff of legends! Thick slices of onion in a batter that you typically see on Calamari. It was flaky, seasoned and crisp. Everything a great onion ring should be. Last, but not least, the 88 Seafood Boil(que the intro music), was a 1/2 pound of snow crab legs, 1/2 pound of head-on Shrimp, sausage, potato, and corn. I got the 88 sauce which is a combination of all the seasoning/sauces, medium heat. Oh! It was so good! The crab cluster looked more like king than snow. They were big and full of sweet, juicy, meat! The sausage had a great flavor on it's own, but the sauce complimented it. The shrimp(unlike most shrimp in a boil) was firm, with a clean, almost buttery flavor. The sauce had chunks of fresh garlic which I love and even though it was medium heat, it was balanced with the right combination of flavor and heat. I can't say enough about this new establishment. From start to finish, the service and quality of food is unmatched! If you are looking for fresh and flavorful seafood, look no further. Pier 88 has all you need. Check It Out!!

Another great visit! The food was so fresh and the beer was extra cold. It was pretty slow inside around 4pm. I don't mind that since the city is always so busy.

Great tasting food.. great customer service. And a good vibe and spot to watch sports and catch a drink. Food was good just prolly got a bad batch of crab since it was empty and hardly had any meat inside of it not sure if over cooked or what but everything else was great!

    Very dry and undercooked potatoes.

I came because of the positive reviews, but I feel like the reviews are fake. The crawfish tasted like it was a mix of live and frozen crawfish. The crawfish was cooked Cajun style because the Special 88 flavor was not infused into the crawfish tails. If I wanted to eat boiled crawfish with seasoning on top, I could have just gone to a typical crawfish place. The potatoes were very undercooked so they tasted dry. The clams were really bad. I took a photo of a handful of clams that did not even open. This meant that they were dead before they were boiled. The place is actually really nice. It has good music playing and it accommodates large parties. The service was really friendly too. All of this being said, the seafood was really bad. Dallas... Please give honest reviews.

The service and ambiance was very radiant and welcoming from when we walked in, sat down and spoke to our waiter who was very friendly !!! The only con would be the portion size, they could've gave more for the price. The sauce was amazing. Then, when we first got the bill the server didn't add the last two drinks then when we went to sign the check she said she forgot to add them and ended up double charging us. Definitely recommend Fish N Tails you really get more portion wise and leave with leftovers sometimes. For the same price!!!!

The food was really good. The garlic noodles were some of the best I had. They were seasoned really good. We had the 88 sauce with our boil. It was good but seemed like it was missing a key seasoning that will bring them all together. The corn was sweet and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The eggs were a bit over cooked. The onion rings were battered which we preferred! The service was great and the atmosphere was chill. We will Definitely come back.

Started with 3 pounds but it was so good I had to get two more pounds. The crawfish is seasoned the right way where the flavor is on the inside so they don't have to cover it in a dry spice. Also they were all big with just a few smaller ones. To top it off, having strawberry abita on tap is the perfect match for crawfish so I was extra happy. Saw the bread pudding on the menu and had to get it for dessert. It was warm, chocolate, and ate every bite. I was not told to add grainy sugar into unsweetened tea like I was here. my tour guide was a local woman who's lived in the heart of New Orleans for 63 years, and was shocked and appalled when I read to her what the management of Charlie's Creole Kitchen replied to my critique regarding the Sweet Tea, (lack there of, as well as his belief that it isn't commonplace, or borderline essential) she was shocked in disbelief about as well as the astronomical prices we have to pay as their serving sizes in New Orleans are substantially bigger, for either equal or in some cases even cheaper prices. I don't really care how long someone's been running a kitchen (one way) constructive criticism should be embraced to increase the quality of an establishment, not gotten defensive over. Removing one star for having to go all the way to New Orleans to not feel like a crazy person about the Sweet Tea and Prices. This place is already really good! but could still be better! (OP) As someone from the Deep South, I have high standards for Southern Dives. The roasted red pepper sauce is incredible, and the cheese grits make it a real southern comfort platter. * Chicken, Shrimp & Bacon Corn Chowder (10/10): Truly New England-level quality. An absolute explosion of flavor. * Crab Cakes (10/10): Rich, delicious, and worth every bite. The Middle Ground: The Boudin Balls and Seafood Gumbo were solid (7/10), though the gumbo doesn't quite reach the level of a spot like Pappadeaux, it's decent. $11 for 3 decent Boudin Balls is highway robbery at its best. The Fried Seafood Platter was good, 7.5/10 but at $35, the platter is on the smaller side, especially only given one piece of catfish. The side salads (3/10) the after thought of the menu, chopped head of lettuce smothered in ranch (or Italian) with one banana pepper, and one slice of tomato that looks like it was suppose to be on a burger, no toppings at all. Truck stops have better prepared salads. Which wouldn't typically be a problem if this was a budget-friendly eatery, but for its Texas-Sized prices, And New-York sized portions. The oversight of the Sweet-Tea and a decent side salad is for sure a miss. It might fully please Texans, but it left somethings to be desired from a non-Texan southerner. That being said! It is absolutely well worth the visit! The food was all above average for the region, the service was friendly, attentive and fast, the food came out quickly and efficiently. The location isn't great, but not bad. a little tight and congested, the interior is very mom & pop feeling which is nice. I truly did enjoy my experience, misses and all. After a long day in transit, all we wanted was something deeply satisfying, the kind of meal that feels like a reward. When my mother suggested Aunt Irene's Kitchen, there was no hesitation. She spoke of it with the reverence reserved for places that become part of your personal geography former neighborhood staples, the kind you measure other meals against. Years ago, when she lived nearby, this was her spot. And now, standing beside her in a line that stretched out the door, it was clear we weren't the only ones holding onto that sentiment. The queue moved with surprising ease, a quiet efficiency that felt almost practiced. Inside, the energy was unpretentious and steady. Our cashier, while not particularly warm, was brisk and knowledgeable answering questions with the kind of clarity that suggests confidence in the product more than performance. We ordered simply: wings with fries, and two plates of fried fish with fries. The wings hadn't been part of the original plan, but a fellow patron mid-meal and visibly excited leaned over to insist. It felt like advice worth taking. And it was. The food arrived in its own time this is not a place for the impatient but what it lacked in speed, it more than made up for in flavor. The fish was crisp and tender, the wings richly seasoned, each bite layered with the kind of depth that doesn't rush itself. Then there was the jalapeño tucked alongside the plate like a quiet signature. It cut through the richness with a bright, deliberate heat, a small but memorable detail that elevated the entire experience. The dining room itself is modest and well-kept, with many opting to take their meals to-go or retreat to their cars. There's an ease to it all ample parking, friendly faces coming and going, a sense of community that lingers longer than the wait.
