I'm glad we came early because this place has a line all around it when we left. I love that they have an extra room with more seating. They have multiple TVs and plenty of space in between the table. We ordered 6 raw oysters, 6 grilled, the broil platter & 2 margaritas. For the price of the broil you can't go wrong. We've been to the other location and we did like this one more. The grilled oysters were fantastic. Honestly everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I really like it here. I've read some of the other reviews, but I think you have to come with a reasonable expectation. It is a fast casual restaurant. The intense is not for it to be the place where you hold your 50th anniversary dinner. It's a great place to bring kids. I've gone to both the Garland and Rowlett locations. I prefer Garland. I really enjoy the seasoned crab boil and the fish tacos. So far I haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. It's a great place to go late in the evening when you just want something tasty to eat in a comfortable environment. The people at the counter are taking the order are always pleasant. I've never had anyone with a nasty attitude. They seem happy to be there. read more

The food we ordered was all delicious! We ordered Pineapple Mahi Mahi, Aguachile, fries, and grilled shrimp & scallops. You go to the counter, order, & they bring it out to you. The staff were all nice. The only thing I think they should probably work on is the mess on the ground that customers leave. Well, our experience was NOT at all pleasant. But this is one of my SIL's favorite restaurants, meh. Starting off with the mariachi band which was way too loud, yes we left with a headache! We couldn't visit with the person next to us. Pretty much everything is fried. Guacamole was ok. We were a party of 8 adults and 2 small children. Our food came out of the kitchen very disjointed, not at all together or even warm. My hubby and I spilt the spicy combo which was crab legs (which had no meat), sausage, shrimp and 2 minuscule corn on the cob. The spice level was nice, but only having plastic forks to eat with, was quite the struggle. YOU NEED TO SERVE CRAB CRACKERS TO ASSIST OPENING THE CRAB LEGS!!!!!!! And a real fork & knife would be a great assistance! One of my sons ordered the fish tacos, he said they were meh. My other son ordered the shrimp combo, which was ok. This review has lost 1star only because they don't tell you that they charge for tips when you pay. Only after you pay and you see your ticket is when you see they have charged a sizeable tip, AND because they don't actually go to you're table more than 2 times. What is the service tip if you don't actually get a good service? Anyway. Food is great I have zero complaints, I got a seafood combo platter or something like that. It is based on market price and I also got a margarita on the side. Both decisions were awesome! If you like the famous boiling crab you will like this for sure. I got the it spicy and extra lemons on the side. If you do decide to stop by I guarantee you will like. I had a taste of the fry's and po boy from a friend and it was just as good. Guys don't waste time and check it out! The place is clean and it's spacious enough to bring in a big group. You can tell they take pride in cleanliness and their seating areas. The ambient is great and the bar is a plus for those mixed drinks. Another thing I didn't like is that you have to ask for everything. You need a bib to not get dirty? You got to get up and ask. You want butter for you're crab legs? Get up and ask for it. You want gloves to not get messy? Gotta ask for it. The beer was cold, food was hot, and the location is nicely placed in downtown Garland. There was some drama while we were there but i feel like it was the customer's fault so I'm not going to hold that against them. All of the adults got their food first and we were finished eating our cold food before the kids got their cheeseburgers. We had to ask twice where their food was. The food was good ... but we got charged a 40$ tip, (gratitude) although we had to get up to order our food and our food didn't come together it came in different chuncks. Nobody ever asked if we was doing okay or offered us anything. This was our first time here. When we sat at our table we noticed there was a living fruit fly in the malt vinegar bottle which had no lid on it. I decided to look at the bottom and there was at least 4 dead ones in there. I took it to the counter to have them throw it out and have them look at all the other ones. Everything just slid out of the shells... $19 a lb for the crab and a bonus piece of fresh out of the fryer cod for an additional $3 !!! I was stuffed! Will DEFINITELY be back!! They are open for lunch, which is a big plus instead of at 3 pm like "the others".... To heck with the Boiling Crab... Much better! What a find! We just happened to be in downtown Garland running an errand around lunch time on Saturday. We had our dog with us so we needed patio seating. We spotted the tables outside Fish N' Tails. I took a quick look at some of the reviews and decided on the Pineapple Salmon. When I go out to eat, I like to order things that I don't cook at home. This dish was really different and delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the pineapple sauce was creamy and not too sweet. It's one of those dishes that's good until the last bite and you might just dream about it until you can come back. My husband got the 3 piece fried catfish platter. He said it was really good. The frozen margarita was small and nothing special but no way I'm gonna knock off a star because the food is THAT good. read more

I called to get a refund for the meal I didn't get because I could not go back up there tonight. I don't think that was an unreasonable ask. Erica, the manager told me that I HAD TO take the food back up there if I wanted a refund or wanted my food made. I told her repeatedly that I could not. She told me that I just had to go back and I would not get a refund. So I paid for something I didn't get and Erica thought that was okay. If it had been even similar to what I actually ordered, I would've eaten it, but it wasn't. Absolutely horrible customer service. They need to do better. Based on the reviews here, their customer service is awful! How do people keep going back? I don't understand. If I could give zero stars, I would. Most of the TVs were on soccer, but we were able to watch college football on one TV. We were long time patrons of the original location until it got so busy it was hard to get in.
