The shop is large, with an open floor layout. The furniture inventory is in pretty good condition. I didn't see broken, non functional items. They had furniture: lighting fixtures, living room (interior and exterior), dining room, bedroom, and office. RH furniture is mainly larger pieces not meant for mobility and smaller spaces. The products are beautiful and pricier due to the quality of the materials, size, and additional craftsmanship. The outlet prices are discounted from their retail pricing. From what I can see, the discounts seem comparable to the as is conditions. The majority of the design look is modern classic. They do have statement pieces screaming other styles such as bohemian and eclectic. On my last visit, as I was walking about, the 3 various sales staff walked past me without acknowledgment. Well on the plus side, they did seem to have enough staff to cover the number of customers on the weekend afternoon I dropped in.

I've been a loyal customer of the West Elm Outlet in Vacaville for many years. I've purchased both…read morenew and slightly damaged furniture from this store, and I've generally had good experiences. Last week, I purchased a media console. I carefully inspected it before buying, but unfortunately missed damage on one corner. After bringing it home, I discovered that one of the doors was far more severely damaged than I had realized. As soon as I was able, I brought the damaged door back to the store--just seven days after the purchase--and simply asked if they could exchange the door for one in better condition. I wasn't asking for a refund or a brand-new unit, just a replacement door. The store refused. Their explanation was that if they accepted it back, they would have to heavily discount the item. That response made little sense to me because they had already sold it to me in that condition without making the extent of the damage obvious. Long-time customers deserve better customer service than this. Instead of trying to help find a reasonable solution, they chose to stand behind a rigid policy. I left feeling that customer satisfaction wasn't important. I'll be much more cautious about shopping at this outlet in the future.

If you like midcentury American style, you may like this style as well. I find it to have similarities. But get this... the pricing is even cheaper than majority of the scratch n ding furniture outlets (RH and WS) and comparable to the others. Before you pay more for a scratch n dent, check out Scandinavian Designs. The showroom is in a beautiful stand alone building with its own parking lot. It's easy and quick to get to off Interstate 80. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. No hard selling and following eyes. The showroom is beautifully staged and customers are encouraged to sit n test. The square footage is impressive. Lots of inventory.- bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and office furniture; lighting, bedding, rugs, and art/home decor. One side is the showroom that had "final as is" furniture sales including home decor items (art work, vases, figurines, etc). On my last visit, they had bird figurines marked $5.

When I'm at the outlets, this is one of the shops I must stop at. CB is one of my favorite retail furniture and home stores. Their style leans to being modern and functionally minimalist. I visited recently. The staff greeted us and everyone that walked in. Staff individually moved about the shop asking folks if they needed assistance. We spoke to a couple of associates; they were engaging and helpful. This weekend they are having an additional discount of 10% added to the already tiered markdown prices.. And the items not marked down are 20% off. This sale structure is common of them. The inventory of furniture was in good shape and in my opinion, was marked down accordingly. Don't get me wrong, it's a discount outlet so there's a reason the furniture is there... damaged, retail returned or discontinued. So check out the pieces throughly to see if it meets your standards before purchasing as most items are final sale. And if you like an item, get a sales person attention and stay with the item. Remember since these are not stock pieces. Other folks are also eyeing the same items. This discount shopping ain't for wallflowers. I like to browse the housewares (service ware, glassware, all of that). These pieces aren't broken, but are likely discontinued.

Many items matched what was currently in store, so my close guess would be that they carry seconds or minimally damaged/returned items. The few Le Creuset they did have were mainly in dirt brown and cerise, items that could be found online for the same price or lower. The service wasn't helpful or friendly and the store felt more like a Goodwill than the higher quality I was used to with Williams Sonoma. The final straw came when our items were rang up as the final sale price wasn't clear on the screen and didn't match the percentage listed on the shelf. Overall, there was nothing positive about this store so we never plan to return.

It's such a beautiful piece - an "own it for life" quality item - and thanks to WS outlet the value was great. I do give 4/5 stars due to the "no returns" policy. There have been occasions where here I passed on a purchase because I didn't feel confident enough. First force you to be very intentional and give the item a good once over. Other "buy it for life" items I've purchased have been a roasting pan, Thanksgiving and X-mas linens, and martini glasses.
