Second, they were at my rescue when I found out kind of last minute that my dog needed a Leptospirosis Vaccine as required by a boarding outfit in Hot Springs, Arkansas for our vacation trip. My vet (Dal Paso Animal Clinic) also here in Hobbs, New Mexico, doesn't include the Lepto or offer it separately. Hobbs Animal Clinic would not pick up the phone when I called. And the only other place I called before Great Plains was Double J. Their price was I think $80 for the vaccine and $27 for a required examination - or maybe I have it backwards, but I think I have it right. PLUS, Double J didn't have an appointment available for my dog for another week - that would have been WHILE we were in Arkansas. Great Plains answered right away. They did need me to make an appointment, but it was the same day - just later that afternoon plus they did not charge for an exam. My dog's shot was $42 and so worth it because she was a great traveler. All of the ladies who work here are so nice and understanding. I finally saw Dr. Kuitu for a split second. He has seemingly only aged a little since I last saw him 20 years ago.

She had ONLY vomited once while there in your care and I was told "she died of a seizure this morning" I went to your hospital less than 45 min later and she was in vigor mortis! She had died several hrs prior to your staff calling me. You've blocked me from posting on your page on Facebook for calling you out. No courtesy call to explain that she had a seizure from more than likely hypoglycemia which is PREVENTABLE especially in YOUR CARE! When my husband and I went to see her she was solid, cold, her eyes were matted from crying and her bedding was wet!!!!!!! How disgusting! She deserved some dignity! She was my therapy dog! I loved her like my own child! How can your staff be so cold! I am requesting her medical records. The audacity to have me pay 1100.00 dollars and then you still request 43.00 plus dollars?? You killed my baby! Can you tell me with all honestly I will get HER ashes? I wasn't allowed to bring her home to bury her at my sisters ranch. We were told she was contagious. Explain to me why I was told admitting her in your care she would be monitored closely??? That's a down right lie! Had she been monitored you would have seen her get lethargic! That was 20 years ago…read more Now that I am much older and wiser, it's still plain to see that Andrews is the best within 100 mile radius of my house located in New Mexico. They are the most affordable around. They are no nonsense. If it isn't necessary, they aren't going to bring it up & charge you for it like other vet offices. Most of the communication in the patient exam rooms is between the pet owner and the veterinarian, not the vet techs/assistants. I appreciate this because there's been times when other vets didn't spend much time listening to my concerns. This newish facility is very nice & mostly clean. There is one entrance for checkins. A separate door for exiting which makes things a little easier for large, anxious dogs. They have three veterinarians on hand... When I had to make a tough decision pertaining to my feline last winter, Dr. Hada was there every step of the way. This was a difficult time for me & he made sure I understood everything in addition to making me aware of the appropriate costs included. The entire office was very empathetic to my situation. Dr. Mohr administered vaccinations on my brother's pitbull today (5/9/2023). He was friendly & straightforward. Dr. Nave Culbertson has also helped me understand what was going on with a couple of my furry friends. She's very kind. I will definitely be back. I recommend all of my loved ones to go here!
