I let the doctor know what was going on. He told me I needed to get a blood test if not he would refuse to prescribe me any medication. I asked he why it I needed it to do it and he told me because I might have some in my blood that gives me ingrown hairs. I told him I didn't want to blood test because I wasn't get much of an explanation. He told me well them I wasn't going to get medicine. I was crying out of frustration because I was wanting to know what it could be in me blood. I gave up and did the blood test. I told him to draw blood from my left arm as my veins are more visible there. He chose the right arm. Him and the nurse kept telling me to stop moving. I was sitting still they were poking at my right arm and it was just starting to hurt more and more. I ended up almost passing out and they proceeded to yell at me to stop moving. I told them to move to my left arm because I knew that was the arm to draw blood out of as it's been done on that arm before. After, I was mad about how I was getting spoken too because I know i am young but it felt disgusting to be talk to like that. After he talks to the pharmacist about my medication and he was making jokes about how I was crying and how difficult I was in spanish. I speak spanish so I understood everything. Let's just say if you need help they are just in it for the money. They told me they would call me with my blood results and NEVER DID. Genuinely would never come here again. HORRIBLE PEOPLE

The smell of urine on all the toilet seats in the restroom was so strong that I thought I was going to become ill if I stayed in the restroom a second longer. The restroom was so unsanitary, I would have rather leave to use the restroom at a gas station. Since I didn't have the time to leave, I decided I wait to use the restroom in my doctor's office.

After you get the blood work, you are required to go back for a visit to get even normal results. Rachael explained to me that they do this for billing. She will not discuss anything over the phone as she "doesn't have the time". Even after seeing three of their providers (the providers are like a revolving door...Rachael was on leave last I heard), and going through hundreds... literally hundreds of blood tests, they all missed that I had hyperaldosteronism. They will milk every single penny out of you. I don't know if they get a percentage from Quest, but the tests are excessive here. I'm so happy to have found a better provider.

If you have a cough, you have to wait in your car to do COVID, Flu, and strep tests (even if you don't have any other symptoms...) Each time this happened, my all-in wait time to take the test, get the results back, and then be allowed into the building was 1-2 hours. That doesn't include wait time and actual face-to-face time... I don't mind extra precautions to keep patients safe, but I do mind inefficient ones. 2. They are generally very test happy. They required my husband to do bloodwork and get an EKG prior to starting his blood pressure meds. Three months later he was required to repeat both to get his refill prescription. I was also required to get an EKG and a circulation test to establish myself as a patient, despite no prior related conditions. 3. They don't answer voicemails. When we asked about this when we finally got through, they said that they don't have access to them because the person who receives them is gone. This is mostly an issue because at times they don't answer their phones either...

I am a complicated case with multiple health issues and lots of chronic pain from different cancers. I was told before I was transferred here that my medications that I was receiving at my previous hospital would not be touched or changed essentially. As soon as I got here that was the first thing they did! They changed the one medication that helps me the most! Then, when they supposedly changed my medication back to IV I felt like I was not getting the correct dose. So I asked SEVERAL nurses if I was getting the right dose, and they all lied to me and said that I was! Come to find out a week later after several bouts of nausea, vomiting, and rashes I was told that I was only getting HALF the dose! And when I talked to the doctors here about it they would not change it back! The hospitalist (Dr. Moosavi) refused to listen to me much less let me even speak! I have never been treated so poorly in my life over a medication that I clearly need! It got to the point where I had to talk to the patient advocate here, and he set up a meeting for my husband and I to speak to the manager. She basically pretended like she cared but did NOTHING to change the situation. It was all for them to save face! And it gets worse. It literally just happened again today after I had a procedure! This time with my pain meds! The horrible palliative doctor here changed my medication to not only half my dose, but also for it to be administered intramuscularly instead of just through my IV, and the pain of receiving the medication that way was horrendous!!! Absolutely beyond painful!! Why would I want to take half of my dose of my pain med and it cause me pain like that?! I cried both times I tried the medication that way because it hurt so bad!! And on top of it all it did not affect my pain whatsoever! It just doesn't make any sense! And I had no warning for the change! This particular doctor I haven't even seen in over a week! So I don't even understand what prompted her to even touch my medication to begin with! I feel like it was done purposely because she doesn't like me! I see no other reason why. The palliative doctor (Dr.Gail Donley) was so rude and condescending to me when I first met her. I could literally feel how much she disliked me when she would speak to me. She wouldn't listen to me when I would tell her what worked for me medicine wise and when I told her that I was allergic to NSAIDS she literally asked me how do I know. I told her that it caused me bleeding. And she was like yeah but when was the last time, and was trying to push me into taking an NSAID when I clearly told her that I could not take it. It was absurd! And now come to find out that she's the doctor that changed my pain medication without coming to see me, or letting me know anything whatsoever. I just don't understand why I am being treated this way here. It's beyond scary to be here as a vulnerable patient. Some of the nurses are wonderful here don't get me wrong. There's always some good people mixed in with the bad. But the bad ones are actually the doctors here! I have never felt so unsafe and uncared for in my life at any other hospital facility EVER!! I'm truly scared to be here, and I'm in SO much pain! The only reason I'm even here is because I was transferred from another Methodist location that said that they can't keep patients long term, and I had already been there for 50 days. So they sent me here to the Methodist Continuing Care location in Katy. Please please please do NOT come to this place for yourself or anyone else that you care about! The care here is below subpar, and that's coming from the actual doctors here! They are already trying to discharge me without even fully helping me with my issues. They will be sending me home with more problems than I came in with, and I am terrified! Please go somewhere else!! Anywhere but here!! I should've read the reviews to this place before I got here because that would've told me everything I needed to know! If you've gotten this far thank you for taking the time to read this. And if you ever feel like you are being mistreated don't be afraid to speak up for yourself! You are your biggest and best advocate!
