We had reservations (highly recommended) and the 5 of us were seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were super friendly and the food was incredible. The salad bar was one of the better we've seen in a while. The selection was abundant and we really could've made a meal of it alone. My husband and I just finished dining here, our tab was $122 and we tipped $26 in cash for the service but after leaving we realized they never brought us our full meal. It was almost an hour wait for our entrees, however the appetizer came out pretty fast. The crab dip tasted great, and so did the steak, and Tuscan pasta. However my husband never received the soup he had ordered as a side to his steak. For being a pretty pricey establishment I feel like this is a pretty big oversight. Service was unimaginably poor. Though I was refused seating and never had the chance to try the food, the experience was defined by two clueless hostesses and an extremely rude manager. I had called two days in advance and was told by the manager herself that no reservation was necessary since it was after the busy season and I was requesting a 5:30 seating. When I called again to confirm, I was assured once more that it wouldn't be a problem. Upon arriving at 5:20, however, we were immediately asked under what name our reservation was made. Somewhat surprised, I explained the previous conversation and was met with blank stares from the two young hostesses. When the general manager -- the same one I had spoken with on the phone -- came over, she didn't offer to help or even apologize. Instead, she curtly said that as of yesterday all seating was by reservation only, and that I "should have made one." She repeated there was nothing she could do and that I "should have insisted" on a reservation. At that point, I told my party of five we'd dine instead at a wonderful Italian restaurant in Porters Neck -- where, unsurprisingly, we were treated with genuine hospitality. I got a medium rare 8 oz ribeye that was cooked well with roasted sweet potato (comes with cinnamon whipped cream?) along with a red bell pepper soup with Gouda cheese. I enjoyed making my own salad at the salad bar (which is very clean, btw), also enjoyed the soup (loaded potato soup and red pepper soup). I highly recommend getting the ribeye with the grilled shrimp skewer, then baked potato (if you love potatoes), mushrooms, and broccoli. The cocktails were fantastic as well. So when we arrived we were seated right away! The inside is pretty big with many seating options and we were able to find a parking spot pretty easily. The inside was nice. Our waitress was great! Very attentive and nice and we always had full water glasses! They had lots of options and daily specials. Everything sounded good but I ordered the ahi tuna. It came with a trip to the salad bar and a side and some texas toast that was very underwhelming (kinda just toasted white bread). The salad bar was VERY fun though. It had lots of toppings! I especially liked the goldfish! Very different but delicious! I was a little sad that not all the salad dressings were labeled. The ahi tuna was very good and cooked well. AWFUL! The blonde curly haired girl at the front should not be at the front host stand. She told us a 1 hour wait and we had to be there within 10 minutes. She texted at 6:21 saying to head that way. I got there at 6:25 trying to speak to her, at 6:29 she finally listened to me just to tell me they gave my table away because I didn't "speak up". She advised I could get back on the list.
