We live in Claremont near the hills. A squirrel had fallen into our attic but we had no idea what was causing the ruckus. Raccoon? Possum? Rat? Animal control could only loan us traps and I'd already paid for (and fired) a pest control guy who wanted to set traps and shoot any wild animal he spied with a pellet gun. Luckily I found Lowell. I live in an area of Redlands that has a large population of rats in the vegetation. This summer the rats invaded my attic and crawlspace. Our home is in a gated community in La Quinta on a golf course. One weekend we found incredible destruction of our back yard and extensive digging under the wall to our bedroom. We called Lowell after researching a number of options for helping us solve our problem of raccoons in the attic. My husband had seen the coons himself with a flashlight. I truly cannot say enough great things about Lowell! We sold a house in Corona and in the process discovered we had an opossum living in our attic! Lowell came out the same day I called and confirmed our suspicions. Not only did he clean up the mess left by the animal, he set humane traps, and sealed every single entry point in our 4,600 square foot home's attic over the course of the next several days. The opossum was ultimately trapped, and Lowell picked him up and released him into the wild. Lowell even sent us a video showing "our" opossum waddling out into the brush. I called Lowell for help with what sounded like a good sized critter who had taken up residence in my attic. After his careful investigation, and 40 or 50 patient answers to my annoying questions, he determined my visitors to be roof rats! He neatly and carefully patched and covered all the places where they could possibly gain access to my attic. He was so thorough as to even spray paint the steel grills to match the trim on my house! Once in the attic, he confronted one errant visitor as he looked around and checked for any damage that might have been caused. Lowell came out to remove a dead rodent from under our house. The smell in our house was atrocious. Instead of removing the rat, he threw a deodorizer bag under our house and said the rat would decompose in 3 weeks. He refused to remove the rat, even after he tore a step out in our closet. My husband asked him if he had the proper tools to remove the dead animal. He said yes, but he didn't think it was possible to get it. He didn't even want to try. We still smell the dead rat. The deodorizer doesn't work. Now we are looking for a company who will do what they advertise. Lowell then texted my husband's phone and said I was appalling and unbelievable because I wrote this review. It seems very unprofessional that he did this texting. read more

Lowell came to our house and did an amazing job helping us get rid of a possum problem that was taking place under our house. He crawled under our deck and explained to us why we were having the problem. He then set the trap under our house. Lowell offered and was willing to come back each morning to check the trap for us when he realized our extreme discomfort and the difficulty we would have in doing it for ourselves. This review is way long overdue. I called Lowell because I thought I had something huge like a raccoon running in the attic at night! Lowell explained over the phone that it was most likely attic rats and since he was somewhat far out, he explained his charges for the trip out to Murrieta. I decided to go with Lowell, and after Lowell inspected my house he assured me that it was attic rats and he sealed all of the entry points and set up traps and we caught one. This timing also coincided with one of the times that I had to fly out on a business trip and Lowell came twice and inspected the attic for me and it turned out that I only had one rat and it was killed by the traps that Lowell had set. And several months later, I've had absolutely no issues since. His entry seals are perfect. Lowell is simply the best out there. And there are many out there who would tell you that they will take care of the rats in the attic who are simply after your money and will do a poor job, but Lowell is honest through and through and is meticulously careful and he knows what he's doing. read more

I rarely write reviews, but this is deserving of such. For at least six months I had been hearing noises in my attic. I was under contract with a pest control company and had them come out five times only for them to tell me they saw nothing in my attic. I convinced myself that the noise was birds landing on my roof, trees brushing up against the house, the wind blowing and finally settled on the noise being a poltergeist... I know. One night, winds were calm, trees had been trimmed and it literally sounded like a party was happening in my attic so I knew for sure it wasn't a bird or that poltergeist. I had a feeling I knew what it was so I began looking for another pest control company and here is where I found Lowell. A true God send. Lowell came to my home two days later, inspected my attic and immediately told me there were rats in there as he had seen their signs. He sealed up the entry point, placed some traps and did some work on my roof as well. He suggested I take out the trees that were against the house and trim the bushes. The following week, my pest control company came out to inspect the attic again and found 3 dead rats. All caught from Lowell's traps. Had it not been for Lowell, I would have continued hearing this noise thinking I was going crazy as it had gotten to a point to where I wasn't sleeping. I am so thankful Lowell came out. I have known Lowell Miller for over 30 years. He is one of the most honest and hardworking people that I know and count him as my best friend. Recently he visited me here in Vermont to spend a little time together and to enjoy New England. After reading all the good reviews I feel bad writing a bad one but I have too. Never worked with Lowells personally but they did capture one of my cats at my work and relocated him to a vacant field. The cats at my work are all taken care of and fixed and very much loved so you can imagine the shock and sadness that came with finding out what happened to my poor Rocky. He was the youngest within the cat colony we take care of and was so happy to be safe and cared for. I recommend that instead of dumping felines that are use to be taken care of and living in a parking lot to be taken to the shelter or pound not some field. At least they do not have to die a terrible death and can be put to sleep in a humane way or adopted. In closing I do have to say I appreciate that Lowell did take me to where he released the cat and he was very apologetic however I had no luck in finding him. read more

Once again I called Lowell to remove mice from the attic because my HVAC person told me that "there were rats and rat dropping throughout my attic". I called Lowell to set up traps and close off possible entry points. Well, he arrived on time and inspected my property and reported back to me that there were no mice or mice trails anywhere in the building. I asked him to still close off possible entry points just for future prevention. I really like Lowell. This guy is trust worthy, COMPLETELY honest and his fees are very reasonable. He does not give you the run around story of "what could happen if you don't..." like so many other exterminators I have called on. He just saved me $8000! My HVAC person told me that they would have to remove and install brand new duct work into my building because rats have eaten through the old ducts. WOW!!! We give our highest recommendation to Lowell's Wildlife Removal. We live in a townhome next to a large wild area, and so some rats found their way into our attic. Lowell himself came out to do the inspection as well as the work. This gave us a lot of confidence that the job would be done right. Of all of the rodent specialists that came out to give us an estimate, he was the only one who crawled through all accessible attics. He felt it was necessary to crawl all the way through to make sure he could see all possible entry points from within the attics and to see how well we were isolated from our Town Home neighbor, whose garage wall is shared with ours. He does charge for the initial inspection, but he will subtract the inspection fee from the service fee if you choose to use his service. We decided to use his service because after speaking with him, we could see that he knew what he was doing. Also, to our pleasant surprise, his fee for the service was a fraction of the competition for virtually the same work. He did a great job at sealing off all potential entry points into our attics. And, as we requested, he took before and after digital photos of his work for us. He set-up some traps in the attic and gave us the option of having him come out to inspect the traps every few days, or to do it ourselves and save money. It was a good opportunity to save even more money from the already very great deal. It's been several months now and we haven't heard any rodent activity in our attic since.
