Desde el inicio, su actitud me hizo sentir incómodo/a, y la manera en que manejó los instrumentos fue descuidada y brusca. Me lastimó varias veces durante la cita y no fue nada cuidadoso, incluso cuando era evidente que yo estaba con dolor e incomodidad. Lo que más me molesta es que no fue un incidente aislado. Ya he tenido problemas en este lugar antes, y cada visita parece ser peor que la anterior. Esta vez la experiencia cruzó un límite. La forma en que Luis se comportó me hizo sentir inseguro/a como paciente. Sus acciones no se sintieron cuidadosas ni enfocadas en el bienestar del paciente, y salí estresado/a, adolorido/a y molesto/a. También hubo momentos que me hicieron cuestionar si se estaban siguiendo las normas básicas de seguridad e higiene dental. La profesionalidad, la limpieza y el cuidado del paciente deberían ser obligatorios en un consultorio dental, y no sentí que se cumplieran esos estándares durante mi visita. From the moment he started, his attitude made me uncomfortable, and the way he handled the tools felt careless and rough. He hurt me multiple times during the visit and was not gentle at all, even when I clearly showed I was in pain and uncomfortable. What bothered me most is that this is not a one-time issue. I've had problems here before, and each visit seems to be worse than the last. This time, the experience crossed a line. The way Luis behaved made me feel unsafe as a patient. His actions didn't feel careful or patient-focused, and I left feeling stressed, sore, and upset. Basic professionalism, hygiene, and patient care should be non-negotiable in a dental office, and I didn't feel those standards were met during my visit. I do not recommend this dentist at all. They did not run our insurance claims like they said they would and confused us with the urgency of the treatment so we felt forced to apply for a loan. They recommended unnecessary treatments, especially Root Canals, to all their patients. Adults & children's. This is not a good dentist. Alot of complaints from the community and they take advantage of low income non-English families. All their work ends up getting infections and they try to send you to another place to pay out of pocket to treat the infection they caused. read more

Lower Azusa dental took care of me when other dental offices tried to get me for more money and beat around the bush rather than take care of the root issue of my tooth pain. After undergoing additional dental work here, my overall experience has unfortunately declined. It has now been two months, and I am still experiencing issues with the same tooth. What has been most discouraging is overhearing staff members discuss my situation within earshot, in a way that implied the difficulties were my fault rather than complications of the procedure. My daughter received a lot of treatment in this dental clinic. The crowns were put in by untrained and not qualified staff instead of the dentist which resulted in gaps and further tooth decay. I didn't find out until it was too late and several of her teeth had to be extracted. Her new dentist stated she received poor dental care from Lower Azusa Dental. read more

So happy I found this office! Been procrastinating because dental visits can be scary. I only reach out when needed, unfortunately my insurance assigned office always wants to book me months down the line & that didn't work for me or my work schedule. I was referred to this office by a good friend & honestly they helped me with my emergency & did take my insurance. I was able to get a transfer to there facility on the same day. I know my employer doesn't have the best coverage & many offices don't accept it. I called so many locations & just was turned away. Glad I was referred here & treated well. My respects to the team! The receptionists are very polite young women who definitely are NOT rude like I read on another review. As for Martha, this girl holds the office together and manages it very well. The employees/dental assistants are all very friendly and respectful. Dr. Shahriyar Behjou is the best dentist I have ever known. I've been going here since the early 90s. I moved to another city and STILL drive 45 miles to come to this dentist, ONE WAY! I've had everything done from extractions, root canals, bridges and crowns. I'm down to just cleaning and maintenance. If I could, I would give this dentist 10 stars! BTW, just like ALL customer service employees, you get what you give! Smiles are contagious. These people are crooks. They take advantage of people who don't understand English. My brother went in for a consultation for my nephew to get braces. They quoted him over five thousand dollars. Then they applied for a credit card for him to finance the procedures. My brother did not know he was signing up for a credit card! We went to have the charges disputed because the services were never rendered. The dental office reversed a portion of the charges and started that he signed a contract and the cancellation fee was still well over a thousand dollars. Apparently these people has done this multiple times to other victims. Do you go here they are heartless and crooks!!! read more

Trust me when I say "you should come try this place out. It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist. I was very nervous but April and the other staff made me feel very comfortable. I have a lot of work to do and just seeing the pictures and them explaining the procedure makes me want to walk out the door...lol My wife has been going here for awhile and she's happy about all the work they have done. She's really been there for me during this process and talking to her and the staff has made me feel good about getting the work done. Its been painless and quick thankfully. I started bringing my son here a year ago. He's now 4 years old. I really like how they handle toddlers when he wasn't able to take X-rays. The dentist did a visual check which was great! DO NOT GO HERE! They overcharge. I have met life insurance so I have decent coverage. They did a routine scaling and 3 fillings. I got the bill and its over 700 dollars! Never in my life have a paid that much for such simple procedures. (Not to mention it's been over a month and I still can chew on the side where they did the fillings). I found this place when looking for a dentist that accepted medical . They also had an immediate opening , So I made an appointment . I arrived to the office it was very clean, and the woman at the front desk greeted me & gave me some docs to sign. They brought me to the back to do X-rays. The guy was very nice & had a sense of humor , it helped because I was extremely nervous. Next jimmy came and explained my options , he was very knowledgeable about teeth positioning and explained the steps I needed to take to obtain the smile I want. I really like this dentist office they are friendly and passionate about healthy smiles and dental artistry if necessary. Jimmy showed me several before and after pictures of his work . If I could give this place zero starts I would. If I could change my orthodontist treatment center I would. Almost 2 years dealing with the crap that goes on in this place. They favor certain people and others are flat out ignored. Appointments are set up for no reason. All the guys assistants take their sweet time with female patients making small talk and once their all done they step aside and talk about their thoughts or physical of the female patient they just treated. All wile stepping into a different room where another patient has been waiting for over an hour just on the examining chair. If any of y'all value you Saturday time please look else where for treatment. These people take so long to see a patient that my son begs me not to bring him in. 9172016, been in the waiting room since 12 it is now 2 and I'm still waiting. If you're reading reviews on this place, STAY AWAY. I can finally write what I've been wanting to say about this place since I switched to a BETTER dentist. 1. They have so many bad reviews that, the last time I was there, they were offering to give you a $10 gift card from Starbucks in exchange for a 5-star positive review on them. No, and simply, no. 2. The receptionists are so rude, inefficient, and they don't know anything. I almost blew up on one of them because I had scheduled (2 weeks in advance) an appointment for surgical removal of a wisdom tooth that required sedation. Turns out, I show up on the day of the appointment and they tell me that they weren't going to be able to sedate me because THEY didn't submit a request to my insurance. The receptionists also discriminate you if you are not Hispanic since most of their clients are Hispanic. 3. Calling to make an appointment is a waste of time because they don't pick up the phone. 4. Dr. S. is rough, unprofessional, and filthy. While he was performing an extraction on me, he used his fingers to force my mouth open instead of providing me with something to bite on. At some point during the procedure, he removed his mask and continued to perform the extraction while constantly talking/spitting on my face. The surgery shouldn't have taken more than 1 or 2hrs. However, I was there for 4HRS because he kept on taking breaks and he would leave me sitting there for no reason so he could go and work on other people. In the end, he knew he had screwed up on my extraction and he had no option but to refer me to a specialist. When I went to the specialist, the doctor told me straight-up that he doesn't like to clean up after others. He said that it would have been the best if Dr. S. had sent me there in the first place. Also, Dr. S. did not go over the the procedure and risks that the extraction involved. These risks included temporary or permanent damage to nerves, swelling, hematoma, facial paralysis, etc. On the contrary, the specialist was patient and clear in explaining everything before he did anything to me and he was shocked when I told him the previous doctor didn't say a word. read more

Who hates going to the dentist? That was me before. I only went to the dentist when I needed to prior to finding Bao. I hated leaving the dentist in pain when it was only a routine cleaning. In addition to that, there is not a long period of waiting time. Now, I actually use my dental plan and see him like I'm supposed to. What's great about Bao is that he explains the procedure and tells you exactly what he is going to do. It alleviates some of my concerns since I'm a big chicken. There are times when I have gone to see him and I'm like that was it??? His great sense of humor often distracts my anxiety during the visits. My boyfriend does not have insurance and when I took him here, I found that his prices were VERY REASONABLE. He had to get some work done and I thought it was going to break the bank but it did not.
