This location is convenient to where I live. It is also super busy except for maybe in the middle of the workday. Early morning is the pros getting their stuff and evenings and weekends is the rest of us thinking we know what we're doing. I can usually tell by how full the cart return is fi it's gong to be real busy inside. They've been pretty helpful with a variety of projects, and there is almost always someone around who can help if needed. Far better staffed than they used to be. read more

Went in 5/22/2026 to buy a new Refrigerator. We found a Whirlpool WRMF3636RZ discounted very deeply. As the associate was trying to enter it in the area manager came up and after looking at the screen told us they would not be able to sell it to us since they only had one and Lowes did not allow sales of floor displays that "would leave holes in the display line because they hated that". We were informed we could pay for it now and "maybe in 3 or 4 month we might get it". This was for a rental we have and are using while we enter the build process for our new home. Seeing Lowes seems to not want to make a sale we will take all of our new build business somehwere else. As of current the kitchen is at 90k and likely to increase as the wife adds more to it. Shame Lowes will be missing that due to some "random" policy to avoid a sale. read more

I bought a chainsaw a few weeks ago from Lowe's. I was pleased with the product and the customer service. Last week I received an email identifying itself as being from Lowe's and wanting me to complete a survey on my service. I clicked on the link and completed the survey. At the end of the survey there was an offer to give me a free 100 piece Kobalt tool set if I wou8ld pay the shipping. This smelt bad to me so I exited the activated link. Immediately I began to have multiple virus attacks. I waited abouit 4 days and then called Lowe's and asked to speak with the manager. He was on lunch and I left my name and phone number. The employee promised to give it to him. I felt they needed to know what was happening under the Lowe's name. He never called me. My computer is so damaged by Viruses that I have just ordered me a new one because the other one was about 10 years old. read more

Another in a long line of DIY stores in the greater Birmingham area. This location is well organized and has all the ingredients for any of the DIY projects you may have around the house. Everything from outdoor furniture, plants, seeds, chemical treatments (for pants and bugs) to hardware to build a fence, remodel the bathroom, upgrade your lighting, replace a ceiling fan.....etc, etc, etc. Staff are friendly and help if you seek them out. You can expect to wait a few minutes if you have questions about something. A lot of the time you won't be the only one asking how to use something of if they have an idea how you can get something done. Funny story, when I first moved here from Cali, I came in and was shopping. When all of a sudden the entire building started shaking and there were loud booms. Now when I came in it was kinda cloudy, but while I shopped a heck of a storm rolled in and it was thunder. Stopped to do some coupons. The staff here was very pleasant and very accommodating. They had to get up on the top shelves to get down the detergent I purchased. Brent didn't hesitate nor complain. The cashier was nice and shocked at my good deal but I loved how helpful all the men were and the manager as well. The store was clean and good and scary as heck with all the decorations for October 3.17 They had the brand of paint that I was hunting but their color selections are definitely lacking. First time having family over in months during this pandemic and while helping me with some work outside, my brother politely told me it was time to refresh my mulch. Hey he was right and big sis doesn't mind being called out. So off to Lowe's I go. I picked up mulch on Sunday and Monday. On those two days both cashiers were very pleasant. Employees act like working just about kills them especially the guy in appliances . He hates his job. 2. They lie we were told a certain size freezer would b in yesterday (a truck would come in and it would b on it) well apparently it wasn't . Ordered fence boards several weeks ago. Store was supposed to call with delivery date. I had to call them last week. Was given a date and told I would be called with delivery time. I called late yesterday confirm delivery. Got passed around. Eventually told it would be today and I would get a phone call from someone in delivery later in the day with a time. No one from the store called. This morning at 7:20 I got a call from the driver. I missed the call. Called him back 30 minutes later. He introduced himself as John then told me he would be back after his next delivery. He called me when he was on his way and came back just like he said he would. John was very nice. Did a great job of communicating and then unloading everything. People at the store were nice but no apologies, no ownership, and no follow through. John was great and the reason I gave them a five star rating. read more

This home improvement store has everything thing that you would need for your home. The only downside is that it's so large that it's pretty difficult to find an associate for help and when you do it's common for them to say, "This isn't my department, so I don't know the answer to your question." A little more cross training would go a long way and more associates on staff. read more

I went to the Lowe's store in Alabaster today. Walking around in the store and was unable to locate the product I was looking for so I ask a store employee where the item was. The employee acted like it wasn't her job to deal with customers and directed me to to next lane. It wasn't even anything that related to what I was looking for. Absolutely outrageous they claimed it was the "systems fault" but when they sent my to a different department it got done in 10min! This is our go-to store for all our home needs. We always enjoy going to Lowe's, and sometimes just stop in case we needs something. They are extremely veteran friendly. They allow our service animal in the store, no questions asked. I've used other hardware stores around town, but I will never have a better experience or a more preferred place to shop! Used Lowes to change out carpet for Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring in 3 bedrooms. The people in the store were very nice, the price was great (less than $3000 for 3 bedrooms and 3 closet's). Installation was not perfect, but we got everything resolved to satisfaction. The important thing is that after having the floors for several months we are completely satisfied with it. read more

The first time I came, the workers were so RUDE to us. We asked for help about finding a dog dish (after we picked up our dog house from the back), and they acted like we were stupid and said, "This isn't Petsmart. " these were two old white men, as they stood around talking and shaking their heads. We just bought a dog house from there so it certainly was not a stupid question. The more recent visit was much better. The man who helped me (he had a cane) looked high and low for a specific piece of hardware. They were so busy, but he was extremely helpful and polite. read more

Been a loyal customer of Lowe's for years. I recently special ordered doors for my house. Timing was critical. Not only did I not get the doors I wanted, but the only consolation I got was, "Sorry, but there's nothing we can do about it." It was basically a brush off with no taking responsibility or trying to make things right. My wife was devastated. Fortunately, I found another hardware store who seemed to care and was able to keep me on schedule, doing what Lowe's couldn't do or didn't even offer to try. Rob was very helpful and patient! I had a recalled Samsung washer and needed a new one by the next day. He called another store to see if they had the washer that I need and he even made it possible for me to pay over the phone. The man on the phone wanted me to jump through all these hoops and Rob said "No, I'm not making her wait another 45 minutes" and just really took care of things. Absolutely the worst Home improvement store ever! Lubbock, TX Lowes is by far the worst in customer service, store inventory, and the most unfriendly and unhelpful employees of all time. The leadership of this store needs to be totally replaced. It is so obvious, that from the Store Manager down, this store has less than ZERO in customer service. We have been in the process of remodeling an investment property as well as our own home, and have spent over $9K in the past three months, and we will never go back. I am in the process of canceling my Lowes card and spreading the news of this stores less than inadequate management, to all I encounter. Latest incident happened this past weekend when I went in before noon to purchase and hold a new refrigerator. I informed the salesman that I would be in after 5 to pick up. And you guessed it, the refrigerator was not ready to be picked up and after two hours of bantering back and forth with the Appliance department and Anti-customer service, I decided to parts ways, and get my money back and never to go there again. This was not the only terrible incident, but not enough time or space to describe all the poor experiences at the Lubbock, TX Lowes Home Improvement store. On Aug 23, 2017, I placed an order for a room of carpet for a house we are moving into. I was told when I ordered and PAID for the carpet that now I would no longer be dealing with this Lowes but somebody out of Wilkesboro with a 1-888 number who would let me know every step of the way what was going on. I was told that the carpet would arrive at the Lowes in Alabaster on Sept 4th and the installer would give me a call to set up install time. On the 11th I called Wilkesboro and was told that the carpet would not be at Lowes until Sept 22, 2019 and that the person at Alabaster should have called me and told me this. So today I call the Lowes in Alabaster and am told that they cannot deal with me and that I would have to call Wilkesboro. So I called Wilkesboro and was told that the carpet was still scheduled to come in on the 22nd of Sept. Then the store would get the carpet to the installer and the installer would call me to set up a install time. So I am looking at at least another week after the 22nd. In the meantime, I am still waiting to move into the house as this carpet goes in the master bedroom. Save yourself some grief and buy your carpet from someplace local. If you can't leave with your purchases in hand, better off not to order from Lowes. So we are looking at 5-6 weeks waiting on one room of carpet! read more
