I drove all the way out here during my Christmas tree shopping adventure because it was the only one in the area that had the specific tree I was looking for in stock. I wanted to see it in person before I ordered it. They had it on display, along with a ton of others (more than any the other two Lowe's stores had on display). Terrible. As someone who takes care of dozens of buildings I spend a lot of money at Lowe's on plumbing, electrical, HVAC etc. I recently purchased a faucet and it was sealed in the box and there were some broken fittings on the inside so the faucet could not be used. I attempted to return the faucet and the manager, Cathy, Told me this could not be returned even though it was in a sealed box because it was on sale. The faucet I purchased was in a sealed box underneath all the display faucets so there's no way I could have known this was a clearance item much less non-returnable. The manager made zero attempt to make the situation right. I had no idea that Lowe's had a policy of selling broken items and then refusing to accept a return once you realize they're broken. This makes absolutely no sense and I will no longer be shopping at Lowe's, I will only go to Home Depot and Menards and local hardware store stores. read more

Bought a Pella patio door and custom size window, because I was told it would be in by 4 weeks or less. 3 weeks later, I checked it said delayed. Thank you to Caleb for attending to me and my husband when we came in to buy a snowblower! The unit we looked at had an issue with the chute turning and not only did he take a look at it for us, he went and got tools, took things apart, and fixed the problem so we could take it home working perfectly! Sometimes service is good, sometimes not so good. If you know what your looking for, then you just have to look for the stuff on the shelves. Otherwise you have to ask staffs which some are helpful and some just gives basic info. Was here to buy painting stuff and the guy was very helpful. It's been a while since we shopped at lowes based on proximity. Back a few years ago we thought of lowes as the upper scale home improvement store, but based on past few shopping experiences at this lowes location, I've determined that Home Depot has trained their employees to be more helpful and attentive to their customers. My last trip to this lowes location might be our last. We were only looking to purchase one item, which we found online and showed that it was in stock. We looked around for the item, then ended up asking three employees for help locating it. They each pointed and guessed at the location, bouncing us around. We eventually found the item ourselves. I'm ok with store employees pointing me in the right direction and aisle if they actually know what they're talking about. I don't expect you to walk me across the store, but if you don't know, just tell me or ask another employee for help, don't send customers away just to get rid of them. We shop at Home Depot's a lot recently for home improvement projects, and we've had employees walk us across the store to ensure we find what we're looking for. Do not ever buy a Lowe's door. They don't build them and they don't install them. All they do is take your money. It has taken since June - yes, 9 months - for me to get a door I paid $2300 for and they constantly blamed the factory for the delay. Now the installation has been screwed up. Again, they blame their subcontractor, a group of hacks called Install Partners. The door is cracked, the Lowe's store and their "installation support team" say it would take five minutes to replace it but rather than send someone from their own company to get this over with, they have followed me off again on the subcontractor. The same ones who screwed up in the first place. I cannot tell you how much time has been wasted and not a penny back yet. I would not go through this process again if you paid me to take a door from them. read more

LESSON ONE OF LOWES: Buy it in the local store if you need it quickly. Don't count on Lowes website to be smart in routing your order! This review has two parts. Website ordering: I ordered a garage door opener and expected it to arrive in three days time, instead FedEx and Lowes logistics fumbled and landed me with a slow package moving from Arizona! That's great, a garage door opener I saw on the shelf at my local store is coming from across the country. I had to go to the local store to sign my installation paperwork anyway, I could have just bought it in the store if I knew the logistics chain was this badly screwed up. The Lowes website is nice for ordering things you don't need quickly but I wouldn't count on it for things I need fast unless I pay for overnight shipping. The worst experience of it was estimated delivery day, then another estimate, then another estimate. Delayed twice? Rescheduled for a third time. Most people would cancel a flight to an airport that reschedules it's self thrice and demand it file a whole new flight plan. In Store: The store is well stocked, better stocked than the website makes it appear (Please fix the website that says my door opener hasn't even left when FedEx has it!) (If you haven't seen this is a giant gripe about the website) Store is well laid out and they have very nice staff in store and on the phones at customer service. The value of the shipping was given back to me because of FedEx's mess up and the warehouse getting sent across the country rather than within region. I suggest that Lowes do more locally based fulfillment and get rid of giant warehouses, small trucks from local stores is how Ace keeps their deliveries predictable. Though a bit more money. Lowes could have done better on the logistics side. That's the only place I have a problem and reason to knock the Lowes company a star. 4/5 read more

Remodeled 2 bathrooms in the last 2 1/2 years, purchased many big ticket items from Lowes Rolling Meadows. Problems with all the faucets, needed returns for missing parts, vanity drawer misaligned and would not close. But the worst problem: defective marble vanity tops. After two years they are actually disintegrating, flaking off and collapsing. Tried talking to the store management and they said "looks like you just got some bad product" and "call Lowes customer service". Customer service has 25 minute wait times. Never buy vanity tops from Lowes. Their own brand of top is such low quality. Shop at your own risk because they will not back any of their products. Now I have to replace $700 vanity tops because of poor quality. read more

A few weeks ago, I went to Lowes in order to purchase 16 walkway pavers, after a manager agreed to store the stones until the contractor could pick them up. As I began to pick out and load them on the carts, two very wonderful female employees (Bee & Brenda) came by to help me dig them out and load them on the carts. Once they were all loaded, they insisted to push the heavy carts themselves to the register for payment, as everything went well. Unfortunately, the contractor could not pickup the pavers until a week later but the Lowes employees that I dealt with, were very patient until the contractor arrived. After the contractor brought back the stones from the store, he called me and stated that he was very pleased the way the Lowes employees assisted and accommodated him with the pick up. Obviously, it is really great to experience this type of professional service from all of the Lowes employees who the contractor and I dealt with. Thanks so much all! Gary S. read more

I went into the store today to ask for Assistance and there was no one to be found in the Appliance area. I then proceeded to ask the gentleman in the paint department who can assist me and he called and return to advise me that no could help me because it was lunch time for that particular person that works in the Appliance department, which was around 6:30 pm on 9/9/2024. I remember a time when Customer Service mattered where there was coverage always on the floor to assist the customer. If one person was out to lunch, there would always be a backup person so the customer is always assisted. Poor customer service was delivered by this store today. read more

Maybe a month or two ago I was iso an outdoor table ( no chairs ) and had called literally every single Lowe's within 25 miles and nobody had the table or couldn't give me the floor model despite them getting no more in stock for the year . I went back and forth with my local store ( lake in the hills ) and they were a mess . Anyways , I called this location and got Mario . Explained the situation to him and he said " let me call you back, I'll check the back " . NOBODY spent more than 20 seconds checking the back for this table but Mario did . Called me back within 20 mins and boom they had it . Now I live roughly 45 mins from this place and for whatever reason their payment system wasn't working for me to pay over the phone so I asked if they could mark it sold and I will come get it shortly. They agreed after confirming I'd be there the same day. Hour later I arrived and they brought it out, loaded it and I was on my way . Get home and the table is in perfect condition. Usually the last of anything is banged up and you kinda just accept itbecause it's the last one and this is what you need ... yea not this time . I came here just by myself. I need to buy some host. Since I don't know what is good quality to buy. So I ask some help to staff. I glad that he now about what to choose. It a little bit expensive compared to other hose. He said that it is high quality and it is durable where it last long. After I put it in the cart I also went to the selection of foods. I bought some snacks, chocolate, chips, cookies, candies, drinks and milk for my kids. I also bought canned noodles and refrigerate goods. Then I went to selection of produce and I bought vegetables and fruits. Well the veggies and fruits looked fresh. The only problem is there are long line in the counter and I will wait long. Last Christmas I bought my Christmas decorations to this place. I'm satisfied with their products since the quality was really good. The only problem is it's too expensive. I went there again to accompany my friend who wanted to buy a pot for their garder. She's such a fan of plants. She has a huge garden in their house. So we went straight to the selection of pots. She bought a lot. The pot that is big has a higher place compared to the small pot. She also got a discount and can save her money. We spent 2 hours in this place. Oooohhh Lowes of Arlington Heights how do I HATE thee. Is it because your sales people could not write up an order correctly if their life depended upon it. 1. Gas stove - needs new hook up connects for safety. Told sales guy that so he could include it in the order, which he managed to charge for. Delivery time... not on the order sheet. Mr. "My name is confidential yet I am the delivery manager" argued with me that not every new gas hook up requires a new connection when Lowe's does the installation... my answer... "blow much up?". 2. Delivery guys not told it was a 5th floor walk up. Sales guy knew this & said it was OK & no extra cost. Nobody told the delivery guys. 3. Who busted up my brand new stove? I attached pictures. 4. Horrible person of a delivery manager that: A. His name was apparently classified because Lowes now operates like the CIA. He literally told me that his name is "confidential". Ummmm I just want to know who I spoke with, it's like you think you are some sort of protected species. Who hurt you? Talk to the nice Dr. B. Mr. "My name is confidential yet I am the delivery manager" literally told me that I do not have functioning eyes. When I told him how damaged the stove was, he said that is how I purchased it. Who buys a visibly damaged stove & then refuses delivery. Again Mr. "My name is confidential yet I am the delivery manager"... who hurt you? I attached photos. Even the delivery guys were telling me to refuse delivery. 5. So I was told the delivery would be refunded to the purchasing card. Ok, so far so good. 6. 9:44pm I get a robo call that I am getting a delivery in the morning. Ummmmm when was someone gonna tell me about this. I have meetings all day & can't possibly be there. It's been several days since the initial delivery, communication would be nice. 7. 9:45pm store does not close until 10pm. They shut off the phone system & you get a generic message about how the store is closed. Again... need to work on that communication... 8. Sooooooo something that should have been returned & credited to my card due to Lowe's negligence.... might be a bad penny showing up in the morning or a brand new working stove. Either way, I can't be there because Lowe's doesn't communicate & their robo caller doesn't allow you to call back. Came here to spend money, asked for help in thermostat and was told the employee can not leave and I must grab a tag. Sure, went and above and beyond to grab the tag. Then came to register employee said she can not give me price adjustment on a plunger for a dollar. I asked to call for a manager and then she yanks the stuff out of my hand and prints a ticket takes me to an employee. Now the employee refuses to give me $1 override! As he doesn't want it on his numbers to show. Ask to speak to the manger as the instant savings to sticker "I have to have an app" I download the app and was told "don't you know how to read" now I am upset! So the manager kept turning as I asked for his name and goes don't point fingers and leave. I folded my hands and said "I am ignorant, please educate me" he goes leave my store! So we ordered $3,000 (after discount)worth of blinds from Lowes as they were having a 50% of sale on banded blinds. So we go into the store and there was not a blinds staff representative onsite when we were there and someone from another department helped us, he did a good job and got us scheduled for an in-home measurement to be done. The gentleman who came out to measure (Guy) was great and really was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. After the store received the measurements we went in to pay for them and while I was looking at the receipt a few weeks later, I noticed we were over charged. The manager Johnathan was very apologetic and made sure we received the correct refund. Well, a month later I receive the blinds from the shipping company and they are all damaged! I wish I could post pictures, I can't believe the guys loading the truck would even put them in the truck! The delivery guys said that we were his only delivery that day so they were not damaged during transit. The driver was unaware of the condition of the merchandise. Very frustrated! So tempted to just return them, get a refund and shop somewhere else! read more

FIrst; I bought a dishwasher lowe's online and they process through this location. They tried to charge my credit card twice, used all the available balance that I have and called me saying they can't process the order because they couldn't get the payment. I had $2000 available balance, they reserve that amount and still asking payment otherwise the order will be canceled. I don't have 10k credit card, sorry. Second; during these payment issue two people I talked to in that location was rude and mean. Supervisor (her name is Christina) was kept telling me I need to talk to my credit card (which I already did and never had issue with my card 10 years) and when I try to explain about the issue she was stopping me talking and saying "You don't understand blah blah.. " Sorry?! I understand very well but you guys don't know what you doing there. Lowe's; sorry I got the same machine at cheaper price from Costco with better customer service. read more
