My husband and I went into the Brockport Lowes Friday 10/3/25 3pm where we normally shop, to purchase a $400.00 glass/screen storm door and also a $500.00 inside fiberglass door. We were greeted at the entrance by 3 male employees. That is where this customer service experience ended. I was in earlier in the day and spoke with Ben and explained what I was looking for and had both items in stock. Ben was very helpful and informative. I told Ben I would be back with my husband later that afternoon to purchase the doors, we came back 2 hours later knowing Ben would be there till 5pm. We headed back to the door department and waited to be helped. after 10 minutes of waiting, I found a young man in a isle across from the door department stocking the shelves and asked if he could get someone to help us out with the doors. He looked at me like I had 10 heads and didn't say a word and just started looking around, so we waited another 7-8 min and found a middle age woman and asked the same question, again with no words spoken and the deer in the headlights look. She started walking away without speaking a word looking for someone. Finally a man showed up to help us in the middle of this woman and I having exchanged words about this whole customer service experience and how its rude not to speak a word when a customer is asking for assistance. Fast forward to the doors. The man that showed up to help us, I explained I was earlier and Ben helped me and he explained he was on lunch. So there was a door that was returned and the box was pretty beat up, I explained that Ben said there were 7 more in stock. The man then proceeds to get the storm door down from the higher shelves, now lets get to the inside fiberglass door. They had a couple in stock and the one on the floor was pretty dinged up on the trim so he took it upon himself to get one down from the higher up shelves and upon inspection of the door that one was in worse condition, He said that can be fixed up with putty or new trim. So if I am not mistaken for the amount I am paying for the door it should be in new condition? without any blemishes or needs to be fixed or replaced. Maybe the next customer will achieve the customer service I did not receive. Maybe a course in customer service is needed to learn how to interact with customers in the future. This whole experience was unexceptable and I will be driving further for another competitor of yours from here on out. read more

Go to Lowe's for a new dishwasher pick it out cashing out ask for my military discount come to find out that Lowe's no longer allows active military/veterans to use their military discount for appliances and lumber!!! Seriously wtf !!! Lowe's that's so proud in all of their commercials about helping veterans and active military won't let you use your discount that you earned for major purchases !!! Frauds! Recently we bought a ceiling fan at Lowe's Brockport. At the store there are stickers everywhere stating that for $99 they will install. All I can say is BEWARE. Here is how it works. Once you pay for the fan and install service you are called and given a date. That is where all goes wrong rather quickly. Lowe's hires contractors who hire sub contractors and that is how the jobs are assigned. Initial install was changed 3 times before we finally had a person arrive to our home. What we have found is that the day before an install the sub contractor decides whether or not to cancel. They do not inform the customer. When questioned they say they have notified the customer via text or that message was left. Does not happen. Day comes for install and no show so you end up spending 45 minutes to an hour with the install department trying to figure out what to do next. Install dept is not even aware that job was cancelled?? Lots of sorrys but no recourse. Also found that Install Dept and Customer Service do not work together or know what either department is doing or not doing. Next problem....FAN DEFECTIVE...start the saga all over again. 3 appointments to have fan removed and new fan installed AND still no appointment. Spent 2 hours yesterday on phone with Lowe's Install and Customer Service and still NOTHING. It has been up to us to try to resolve this problem and we will continue to do so. Buy a fan but find someone else to install. We went with Lowe's to install because it is going in a room with 16 foot ceiling and thought it would be easier. Boy was I wrong. read more

We ordered a stackable washer and dryer. When it arrived, both had marks and damages so we refused delivery. They weren't able to replace them until a month later, and they were not willing to discuss a discount for our trouble until the washer and dryer would already be delivered. They also refused to install the dryer for us, so we cancelled the order. Wasted a lot of our time, and a month living in our new home with no washer and dryer. We returned from vacation to find a dying refrigerator. We needed a specific size(HxDxW). Lowe's had 3 in stock that fit our needs. I went in first thing on a Monday morning to look at the selection. After discussing the differences of each model I picked one out and said about when on Tuesday would it arrive. The salesperson said that even though they had it in stock it could not be delivered for 2 1/2 weeks. The trucks were backed up that far. There was no discount offered for the inconvenience of having to wait or for picking it up myself. So much for their next day delivery guarantee on their ads and on their web site. Maybe this is false advertising because I don't seem to see an astericks on there ads or web site that says anything about if a truck is available or if it's convenient for the store. I picked up the refrigerator with the help of a good friend and we struggled to get it done. I like the appliance, but NOT this company's NON-GUARANTEE. Ordered a stove from Lowes. Was told it would be in on the following Monday (ordered it the previous Sunday). Was contacted by Lowes to let me know it was in on Wednesday. Thursday night my son went to Lowes in Brockport to pick it up. After waiting 90 minutes for someone to find the stove, he left. I called and spoke with Abby at the front desk, she was lovely. She referred me to "Matt" the manager and transferred my call. After waiting for someone to pick up, (about 2 mins) I hung up. Called back a little bit later and Abby answered again. She informed me that the stove was just found and she had it at the front desk. I again requested to speak with the manager "Matt". She could not find him in the store and took my number and said "Matt" would be calling me back. 3 days later still no call. Excellent customer service Abby, thank you-you tried. "Matt", you earned this store a whopping 1. First because clearly your store is such a mess you couldn't locate a simple order in the first 90 minutes a customer had to wait, but then to not return a phone call. Unacceptable. Plenty of other stores to shop in, and I'll be sure to look around before purchasing anything there in the future. read more

This fall I had a new deck, windows, and doors put in by Lowe's. The materials were delivered promptly and installed efficiently. Follow up calls were made by the Home Office and by the Lowe's salesman himself. I had one minor issue and that was taken care of the very same day that I called! I have committed myself for some additional installations and am also considering them to complete a bathroom project. I always get good help therein I'm there a few times/week at least from June through September. The people there are great. OK, sometimes you have to wait for help cutting wood or it takes time finding something on your own or you didn't plan ahead and realize truck schedules are booked a few weeks ahead. That's life. It also helps if you know what you want, how to describe what your need and and are ready to have great measurements ready (for custom storm doors & windows, for example). One time I got some bad lumber I was using to build stair stringers and the mngr replaced it no problem when I showed him the crack in the 2x12. I think most people liked to complain and if there isn't a problem, one tends not to write a review. Have had good experiences at Lowes of Brockport for 5 years. If you buy something that you need to return and have the receipt or it's a lemon, I found that they are usually very receptive to correct the situation. One time I even need to return a special order (a no-no) but they took it and I even got a letter from someone above a store mngr hoping I was satisfied and that they will always try to correct any issue. read more

Lowe's in Brockport NY is absolutely the worst. I just went to buy a couple hundred dollars worth of wood. The plywood aisle was closed for restocking. It was 10:30 in the morning on a long weekend! Why don't they restock when they are closed? Then I wanted to get some wood cut. Their saw was broken and was told they can't get anyone to fix it. This is about the third time I've been to this store with exactly the same experience. Their saw has been broken for the last two years. I will never go back to this store. read more

I'm so disappointed in today's service and rude remarks in the appliance department. It upsets me to write this but on the other hand I know Lowes will not even care to fix it. The woman in the appliance department was only waiting on the people she could make sales to, not the ones who have spent thousands there already. I waited patiently like she asked because she was waiting on one customer and then the second person that she had on the line. She told me to please wait and I did but in the meantime another young man in that department told me I could find the refrigerator thermometers on the Back wall. Not there, so again I went to the service desk to ask her the same question and then she took another phone call and started to leave messages on the phone with other customers. I decided to go up to the service desk and then she asked me what I needed and said if I couldn't find them back there then they were out. She couldn't even take the time out to check herself. When I again went back she looked on the back wall like I was told to do and then she turned and found them on the aisle opposite the wall. She rudely handed them to me and made the comment. If I had only looked I would have seen them. I could tell just by her look and her tone of voice that she could have cared less. I will never go into that department again if she is there.
