Stopped in here to check out some supplies for the condo. The store was clean and well organized. I saw many employees busy putting stuff on the shelves and making sure the store was neat. I like Lowe's. They have won eight consecutive Energy Star awards from 2003 to 2010, including four Energy Star Partner of the Year awards for educating consumers about the benefits of energy efficiency. They are a good corporate citizen and a good supplier for the DIY crowd. Easy place to shop. read more

Lowe's uses a 3rd party for deliveries just like their Homie competitor! The delivery companies they hire are so bad they can't even tell you their company name (or spell it)! I was to have a fridge delivered. Time off of work, as they give a 12 hour window! For the guy to call and say "hey we're 10 mins away, we've had other customers cancel cause of the rain, do you want the delivery? I said yes please." I proceeded to dump my fridge (that we were struggling to keep going as it was). They came, sat outside and had their "customer service" person call. Advising the truck in front of my house wouldn't deliver my fridge because it was raining and it could damage the fridge! Excuse me? The rain will damage my fridge? I should call GE and see if their fridges can hold up to the rain!!! Cause I called Toma and asked if they would deliver a fridge in the rain or would that damage the fridge? They said "NO that wont damage a fridge! My guys are out making deliveries as we speak! Let me guess you ordered from a big box store? They use 3rd party "companies" to do their deliveries. I've heard many of these stories!" I'd give a zero score if I could! If it is not delivered by tomorrow...I will 100% cancel and place my order with Toma! Should have done that to start with! I was here briefly. Just needed to pick up some rock salt for the snow storm we just had in Southeastern Mass. The employee saw me picking up the 40lb bag and immediately came over and offered to get a flatbed cart for me. I was also checking out some bathroom vanity that was on sale and he offered to help as well. For the 5 mins I was in the store, I was immediately greeted and offered assistance.... If I could give negative stars I would. They lie, they don't have good customer service. We are a company that has rentals with lots of units and lots of appliances and we ordered a stove they gave a window of 8 am to 12 pm on August 12th the tenant was home the entire time they stated no one for the delivery no one answered phone. Again today the stove was suppose to come this time between 1130 and 330 they stated again no one home and they claimed they knocked and called, yet they called the wrong number, oh and they never knocked because I was there personally between those times never saw a truck. They had a photo of front door both days I am thinking it was from the last delivery attempt. Because they claimed they left a letter today. Nothing on door. Now they can't deliver for a couple of days yet I cant go and pick it up myself? Should have used Home Depot or Toma They have lost our business and over the past 2 years we have bought over 80,000 worth of appliances not no more read more

Just browsing to see what I might need for some projects and very few if any customers when I was there but the store seemed stocked and organized and the garden area seemed to get ready for Xmas trees. What disturbed me in the parking lot was a portable security trailer parked and working to see store and cars.... was informed that it's not a safe area which is a huge RED FLAG.... I felt ok till this Security Trailer and decided to leave this store and area....nice to see Lowe's is proactive for security for this location. I think will forgo shopping here for my safety. Extremely disappointed by this store. I saw seven employees not wearing their masks appropriately (either as chin straps or not on their nose) and politely asked one of them to put on his mask. He put on the mask after glaring at me and then walked over to one of his coworkers and loudly complained. As I was leaving, I spoke to an assistant manager about the lack of state compliance in wearing masks and he stated that he couldn't do anything about it because some employees had "ADA Cards" that stated that they didn't need to wear a mask. First, these cards don't exist. Secondly, if the employee doesn't need to wear a mask, it should not be on his person at all. The employee that I had told to put on a mask on had since removed his Lowe's vest and was actively complaining to a manager about the comment. Do NOT get your remodeling needs at the Westgate Lowes in Brockton! They ordered the wrong color cabinets after I sat down with the designer Paulo for quite some time ! Huge error! They never helped me or reimbursed me ! Instead the played the blame game and told me that this is resolved. They refused to take responsibility While I still have the wrong color! Do not go to this location for any of your remodeling needs! the wrong color was selected for my kitchen cabinets after I sat down with the designer for almost an hour to design my kitchen !! and he and the company refused to resolve it. They made a huge mistake and will not take responsibility for it. i had all the proof and told the designer Paulo what I wanted. instead the wrong color was selected and installed while I was at work. If You made a mistake own up to it! things happen but the concealment and unwillingness to help a customer after that Mistake is erroneous. The absolute worse place you can place an order at. Over the past few months, I've been placing orders at the Brockton Ma store. All orders I placed were delayed. No one likes to pick up the phone when there's a complaint or when you call for a manager so I went in. I placed an order for an oven (that associate was nice but not knowledgeable about the appliance). He told me that the gas stove and vent will be installed by lowes but that that wasn't the case. I also paid for the cord for the gas BUT of course, they did not send that to my house with the stove or refrigerator. At one point they had me waiting there for 2 hours to talk to the kitchen manager. I placed an order of 4 doors (before the kitchen manager incident) and had to wait about 3 months for it. I spent well over $1,000. 3 doors matched and 1 door had glass panels. When the order was ready for pick up... ONE was broken & the other did not come with the glass panel. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN ?!?! And of course, none of the store associates care. One stated, "just come back and we will refund you the money" - as if we haven't been waiting for months for this order. Not to mention that they hate picking up their phones and having you wait over 30 minutes or call you have to call back and complain about that as well. NEVER SHOP HERE. Do not buy a grill from this store! I placed an online order that was automatically assigned to this location. My grill was supposed to be assembled and delivered on June 1 (we placed our order on May 29 for a grill that was in stock). It is now June 26, and after multiple cancelled delivery dates, no-shows, and calls to Lowe's Brockton, I still do not have a grill. They now claim that the grill is with a third-party delivery service, but the phone number they provided for the delivery company is not in service... Save yourself the frustration and buy your grill literally anywhere else. read more

I recently purchased a couple of circuit breakers for my panel at $75 each, but found that I didn't need them. When I tried to return them, I was asked for the card i used to buy them. I had misplaced the receipts so I was expecting store credit at least. We ran the bank card and their system said NOPE, you must've used another card. I showed them my bank statement totaling over $400 in purchases for 3 dupatta separate transactions. One transaction was the EXACT PRICE for one of the items. I was told as of last week, their policy changed and they no longer do store credit for returns without receipts! So now I'm out $150 and have a couple of useless breakers! I stormed out telling them that they can keep them AND their business! I will no longer be using Lowe's as a go to place for anything! I will be warning my friends about their policies that are designed to make them some free profits!!! read more

This store has quite possibly the worst delivery sub-contractor(XPO) on the planet. I am not sure if this is an across the board problem for Lowes or if it is just this store, but I will never be ordering anything from Lowe's again that needs to be delivered. Especially since Lowe's apparently doesn't have a centralized distribution system. I went to this store because it is near where I work, and while there are closer stores to me, I apparently had only a dream that a company as large as Lowe's would dispatch deliveries from either a centralized warehouse, or from the store closest to the delivery locations. Nope, everything physically leaves the store where it was purchased instead of being smart about logistics. I placed an order for a freezer on a Thursday and was told it would be delivered on the following Tuesday, and that I would get a phone call on Monday evening to let me know the window that it would be for delivery. I never got a call on Monday about the time window because they changed my delivery date to Thursday, but didn't feel the need to update and let me know that it had changed. It certainly would have been helpful since I need to let my boss know when I will need to be out of the office for the delivery. I went to the store on Tuesday to find out what was up, and apparently the freezer was only arriving at the store that morning, so it couldn't be delivered that day. So I asked for it to be delivered on Wed since I was buying this to replace a freezer that was dying and my food was currently being kept cold with dry ice, which I had to buy a second time because of the delay in delivery. Why it was pushed out 2 days doesn't make any sense either if it could be delivered the next day then it should be delivered the next day, that is inexcusable. I was supposed to be given a call on Tuesday between 6 and 8 to give me the window of delivery for Wednesday, and as luck would have it, I never got a call. I called Lowe's at 8:30 to ask them, and they couldn't tell me so they gave me the phone number of XPO to ask them. I called XPO and the automated system told me that my item was going to be delivered "Today between 1pm and 5pm" - Kind odd since it is well past that time "today" and the delivery is actually tomorrow, and I would receive a text and a phone call approximately 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive. So I leave work at 12:30 to be home for the window between 1 and 5, which is a little bit ridiculous in the first place for such a large window. Any logistics company should be able to narrow down the window with whatever software they use, but even someone with a pad of paper, a pencil and a map should be able to do the same. I waited patiently at home until I got a phone call at 3:30 telling me that things were delayed slightly but they would still be there today. I waited another hour before calling the company back to try to talk to someone. The woman who I spoke to on the phone could only tell me that my delivery window had been updated to 2-6pm today, no notification, but why would I expect that at this point anyway? I asked them if they could tell me where the truck was located now and how many deliveries were ahead of me in line for that truck. She told me she did not know that but she could send a message to the truck to have them call and let me know. 20 minutes later I got a phone call and was told that they would be here in 45 minutes. I asked where they were located, and they were in a town 45-60 minutes away, at 5pm, in Boston Metro, where they will need to travel up RT 128/95 during rush hour. So what are the chances that 45 minutes is actually 45 minutes? Slim to none is my guess. So glad I spent my entire afternoon waiting around for a delivery that I could have spent my day at work instead of taking time off, because it didn't arrive until after the time I normally get home from work. Never, ever, ever, ever buy anything from this store if you need to have it delivered, it will drive you mad and not be worth it, you would be better off renting a Uhaul and getting it home yourself. read more

We received a delivery of a chest freezer today. We didn't see the crushed corner until after the delivery guys left. We tried calling the store just to constantly be put on, and left on, hold. Store employees are nice however there is only so much they can do when Lowe's delivery company (XPO) is so terrible. We have sworn off going to Lowe's for anything other than something simple like nails/light bulbs. If they switched to a new delivery company or went back to self-delivery then we would consider them again for their larger items because they have a good selection but not until then. I have been to the store many times. But I will never return again. I ordered a 66 inch tub online that is being shipped to the store. Last week they contacted me and told me I should stay at home on the 15th and wait for the delivery. It did not show by 4 o'clock so I called the store. They didn't told me that it was on the truck and on its way and they deliver until 9 PM. Needless to say, I never got the tub. Plus, I have called the store easily 10 times and no one is willing to assist me. They don't call back when they say they're going to. But, here's the topper I have asked for the store manager four times and four times he has not come to the phone. I always believe that it starts at the top and when you have a poor manager like this what can you expect from a store. So, I guess I'm gonna have to cancel the order and find it somewhere else after waiting two weeks. Lowe's is an interesting store. I know they carry probably a million products or more in their store, and their competitors don't carry as much, but whenever in this area I always go to Harbor Freight (across the parking lot) first to look for 'hardware' like products. Even so, Harbor Freight doesn't always have what I am looking for, and for urgent things I normally visit this Lowe's. It's definitely not the best location, as employees are sparse and the motif of the store is old, but it does the job for this area. It's also much better than both the ok Avon Home Depot and terrible Brockton Home Depot. It always has all of the basics, and normally has lots on sale (comparable to Home Depot). Parking lot is huge and is quickly accessible via Oak Street, Route 27, or Route 24 (via Exit 18A). Not the best Lowe's, but far from the worst. 3 stars. read more

Shout out to Moises! He is an associate at Lowe's that actually approached us and greeted us with friendliness and helpfulness. It's not common to find workers like these especially at this Lowe's location. This past weekend, we went to Lowe's and he helped my husband with the vanity decisions. Moises also helped us unload our purchase into our vehicle when prompted by managers. It seemed odd that he was the only associate available since I noticed many associates seemingly just walking around, not to mention he hurt his back and fell when he helped us move some vanity drawer boxes earlier. It's not right to throw all the work on one person and I really hope Lowe's isn't doing that. read more

I ordered patio paver to be delivered yesterday. Some were delivered chipped and broken upon inspection. Not a huge deal as most were in tact. The company that delivered them, XPO, answered immediately and took notice of the error. They transferred me to Lowe's. Between today and yesterday I have been on hold for approximately 2 hours and yet no one has answered the phone on their end. I've tried several different departments. I don't even want new pavers, just a refund at this point. Non-existent customer service. read more

Be careful regarding expensive purchases at Lowe's in Brockton ma. I purchased a grill and it delivered. After dropping off the grill I noticed the grates were missing. I visited Lowe's that afternoon. I explained the situation to customer service. The customer service women did not know what a grate was. This went on for several minutes. Finally she said she would give me the names of Lowe's in the area and perhaps one would have what I needed. I said no you need to call them as your sign says you will deliver and you didn't deliver what I needed. She said there was nothing more she could. I asked for the manager and explained the situation and he insisted I go to other Lowe's to get what I needed. I told him I wanted to return it. He mumbled something, I asked him what he said he said nothing and proceeded to work on the computer. He said he could have someone pick up the grill the following day. I asked about my refund and he said immediately after the store receives it back. The grill was picked up the following day. I had to make copy of the pick up slip. As of this writing the cost was not been credited to my account and I've made numerous calls but unable to reach anyone. Two visits to the store and there is no one to help. read more

Daniel Escoto helped me to choose flooring and molding, estimated the costs, and I signed the contract. Lowe's delivered the installation package in two days and 4 Seasons scheduled the installation in two days. 4 seasons' employees arrived in time, were polite and professional and completed the installation in five hours. Now my kitchen looks great. I will definitely use Lowe's for my future home improvement needs read more

The manager then says maybe we can deliver it tomorrow???? really a maybe after making me wait 5 hrs at home since that's the window they give you. Everything about Lowe's is pathetic. Our landlord purchased a hot water heater and ordered installation. Lowe's subcontractors installed it (without a licensed electrician - against code according to Lowe's) and found out they actually broke it because he did such shoddy work. To make matters worse, the following day after installation and finding out the hot water heater was broken, they played phone tag all day and eventually no one came out to fix it. I was told by their corporate office that there was nothing they could do until the following day (this would be THREE days after the initial purchase) I'm sorry - but if LOWE'S was at fault for not installing the heater correctly shouldn't they be making every possible effort to make sure it gets done ASAP? Nope! Store manager all the way up to their corporate office - all rude and not apologetic at all! Our landlord had to pay up front for a second hot water heater and we had to call an outside plumber to fix the shoddy Lowe's plumber's work. Even though they admitted that it was their fault that the first hot water heater was broken - I was not going to wait around another day for them to screw up. I absolutely love LOWES! I don't even bother with the "other" place anymore. This place is always absolutely NEAT and SPOTLESS!! I went in today to check on prices for appliances and I was greeted by a very friendly man who spent over a half an hour with me explaining everything with me and even printing me out some pages to take home. I was walking around trying to find some carpet cleaner and within 5 minutes three sales people asked if I needed help. This places is wonderful.. Nice people, everything set up perfectly so you can find it and most of all everything is organized and neat! Lowe's you're my #1 home improvement place!! read more

After being blown off by multiple people for 40 minutes, Claudia took over, found my order, took my payment, and even made me laugh when the fire alarm went off mid-transaction. Absolutely wretched experience! Bought a fridge in-store on 08/15 and told delivery would be 8/21 Called on 8/19 to verify delivery and was told it would be delivered on 8/20! Scrambled to make that work - emptied and cleared old unit, got ice for stuff in fridge, etc... 8/20 - nothing arrived, so I called in the evening and they not only had me on delivery for Friday, they were ruder about my expecting a delivery! But it was on for 8/21. Got the confirmation VM and everything. So I waited... then started calling the story when it went past an hr on the time frame .. still good, all set, etc. Then at 8 pm I was told to check back at 9. I did and was told it would be first delivery on 08/22. So I called at 8AM on 8/22 and was /very/ rudely told /I/ had refused delivery at 6:43pm on 8/21. Could not get the woman I spoke with to understand NO ONE came to my house... all day. And I was calling about the delivery up till the store closed. I then cancelled the order completely. (PC Richards is delivering a new fridge on 8/26.) Today, 8/25, I get a partial refund. They are KEEPING the removal fee for a fridge they never removed because they never delivered the new one! And yes, I am fighting that as well. I would give them NO stars if I could. read more

Then he offered to help my husband load it into our truck, when it didn't fit he generouly offered to get his tools and take it apart so that it would. I'll start by saying that all the individual customer associates were nice and were trying to be helpful. However, the service was awful. We had issues with our oven being delivered, and then needing to get a refund on said oven. Each time my husband or I called, no one seemed to know what to do, and we kept being bounced around to different people, who were not told by the previous associate what was going on, so we had to explain our issue multiple times. I called last Saturday to ask for a refund. After I while, I was told it could be done and they would call me on Monday. No one called that whole week, so I had to call back myself. The last associate who I dealt with was the only helpful one. There was no acknowledgement from last Saturday's associate regarding not being called (he joined the call as well). I Purchased a dryer on 8/25 was supposed to be delivered on Monday 8/31 and then salesman called and left message on my voicemail a day before saying there was an issue that it won't be delivered on 8/31. I called and got the round about by like 3-4 different people that same day. I just called today 9/4 and they said the dryer is still not in!!!!!! WTH!!! Bout to go cancel my order and go to Home Depot!!! I ain't the only one this happened to this week. A friend just bought a grill and is having the same problem!!!!!! I've never shopped in Lowe's before until I received 10% coupon for moving into new house. I went there 2 weeks ago on Saturday around 8 pm to buy new grill for Sunday cookout. There were no employees around the hall I asked 2 clerks at counter and waited about 15 minutes then there was a guy there to help us. but he said he is not working for grill department and he made few calls to look for the right guy but it looks like he went home already (the store closes at 10 pm!!!) he called for help but nobody knows about grill and they don't even know where they are stocked. I waited patiently since they really tried to figure out things for us and while I was waiting I went to lumber department to get a picnic table delivered to my house. There were plenty of guys over there and I was relived to see them thinking things will get easier this time. On website they offered free home delivery from local store so I asked if I can buy here and delivered and one of the short guy said "no free delivery sir". I told him on website it says free delivery from store. he said "free delivery on appliance only sir" I told him again I have it on my phone I can show it to you. he said it again " no sir we don't do free delivery except appliance" WTH!!!! These guys didn't know what they are saying and They had no idea what is offered on their own website. I was really upset and just left the store after wasting my precious exciting Saturday night. After a week I went online and placed an order for picnic table and several items with FREE shipping for upcoming cookout party on Saturday but they have serious communication problem with shipping/trucking company which is called XPO. next day I got a phone call from XPO saying I have delivery scheduled next day. but nothing came. and the guy from Lowe's said it will be delivered on Thursday and I waited but nothing showed up. I called XPO customer service line but I have no clue what is going on. I got another call that afternoon saying It is scheduled for Friday. and nothing came again. I was frustrated because I only have one day left until party but I trusted them and just waited until Saturday but miracle didn't happen... I called Lowe's customer service center to cancel the order since they couldn't keep their promise on delivering on time and party is over anyway. they accepted my request for cancellation and apologized for what happened. and I totally forgot about whole bad experience with Lowe's until today, I got another call from XPO saying order from Lowe's is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow!!! I rushed to check my credit card to see if they refunded my money back, of course not!!! they refunded only half amount. They gave me so much headaches it was total disaster!!!!! A few weeks ago I purchased several large appliances, The delivery was ok, however I needed an additional part for one of the appliances so I went to Lowes in Brockton Store # 1174, Bob O was very rude and unprofessional he seen me waiting for assistance and choose not to assist me. the department phone was ringing the entire time he was in a conversation with another customer of his same ethnicity. once done I went to ask my question Bob O indicated he has to answer the phone and disregarded me.
