AVOID LOWE'S CAPE CORAL (Store #2361) - TWO SMASHED TUBS AND ZERO CARE. Body: I've spent weeks busting concrete, running dedicated 15-amp GFI lines, and custom-tiling my bathroom to fit a specialty Woodbridge Venezia tub from Lowe's. I did the pro-level work; Lowe's responded with amateur-hour logistics. Tub #1: Delivered with a 4-inch forklift hole through the side. Tub #2: (After a 3-week delay) Delivered damaged AGAIN. The management at the W. Cape Coral store (285 SW 25th Lane) couldn't care less that my house is a construction zone because of their incompetence. They refused to even cover a repair credit to get this project finished. I've cancelled the order and I'm taking my business to a company that actually knows how to ship a product without puncturing it. On today's date at 11:42 AM, I purchased a pressure washing machine from this location for over $300. When I arrived home and opened the box, I immediately noticed that the machine had clearly been previously used and even contained gasoline inside the tank. The item had obviously been returned by another customer and improperly restocked as new. Concerned and disappointed, I returned to the store right away to explain the situation and request an exchange or refund. The customer service representative, Jessica, contacted Manager Andy. Without explaining anything to me, they both went into the back office. I was left standing at the counter with no communication about what was happening. When they returned, Manager Andy informed me in a dismissive tone that he would not be taking the machine back because it had been used. I calmly and clearly explained again that the entire reason I was returning it was because it was sold to me in used condition. Instead of listening, he implied that I had used the machine myself and was attempting to return it dishonestly. I felt judged, disrespected, and falsely accused. I requested to speak with someone above him. He refused and stated, "They're all in Las Vegas," before walking away from me. This was not only dismissive but completely inappropriate for someone in a management position. At that point, I had no choice but to call Lowe's Corporate Customer Service while still in the store. Corporate spoke directly with the assistant manager, and only then did the store proceed with processing my return. I was forced to wait over an hour for something that should have been handled professionally and respectfully from the start. During this time, I was visibly upset and in tears because I felt I was being accused of dishonesty and treated unfairly. I was embarrassed in front of other customers while attempting to resolve a situation that was not my fault. I had done absolutely nothing wrong. I simply purchased what I believed was a new product and returned it immediately upon discovering it had been used. Manager Andy's behavior demonstrated: * Poor customer service * Lack of accountability * Assumptions without investigation * Refusal to escalate appropriately * Dismissive and disrespectful communication Additionally, the fact that a gasoline-powered machine was restocked and sold as new with fuel inside raises serious concerns about store quality control, safety procedures, and inventory management. read more

Lowe's Cabinet Project Recap - Extremely Frustrating Experience I typically wait until a project is completed before writing a review. Unfortunately, I've reached the point where I'm not confident this project will ever be finished. I began a cabinet installation project for my home office in September 2025. The design included 11 feet of upper and lower cabinets along a wall, plus a 5-foot peninsula. As part of the project, I requested installation of two additional electrical outlets. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received an estimate for that work and ultimately moved forward without it just to avoid further delays. It took over a month of back-and-forth to finalize the design and estimate. However, when the cabinets finally arrived, the design had clear flaws. The installer had to make modifications because some cabinet doors were blocked by the peninsula and couldn't open properly. After approval and deposit, the cabinets arrived in early December--within the expected timeframe. However, during installation, the installer discovered that most of the cabinets were damaged or had poor finishes. A full reorder was required. I was told the reorder would be expedited, but it took over two months--twice as long as the original order. When the replacements finally arrived, the upper cabinets were still unacceptable and could not be installed. The lower cabinets were installed, and yet another reorder was required. At this point, we were already five months into the project (February 5). Then, unexpectedly, I received an email requesting completion of a "Lead Renovation, Repair & Painting (LRRP) Checklist" because my home was supposedly built prior to 1978. In reality, my home was completed in September 2025--another clear breakdown in the process. Throughout this time, I received dozens of "update" calls from the Lowe's Cabinet Installation Call Center. Unfortunately, these were more frustrating than helpful, as most representatives seemed unfamiliar with my project history. On March 7, during one of these calls, I discovered that two doors and filler pieces--supposedly ordered on February 5 to correct the flawed design--had never actually been ordered. They were finally placed at that time, with yet another one-month wait. It ultimately took an additional six weeks to receive the upper cabinets, doors, and fillers. The upper cabinets were shipped to my home, but the doors and fillers were sent to the store. I was told the installer would pick them up on installation day--however, as of today, the installation has still not been scheduled. Most recently, I received a call from a local store representative informing me that I needed to pick up the doors and fillers myself. When I explained that this should be handled by the installer, I was abruptly hung up on. After months of delays, errors, poor communication, and lack of accountability, this has easily been the most frustrating home improvement experience I've ever had. As a loyal Lowe's customer for decades, it's disappointing to say this--but this will be the last project I trust Lowe's to handle. Not sure why this store gets such a low rating- I was happy as I was down in Cape Coral visiting a friend and needed a big crab boiling pot which was not available in my local Lowe's, but after checking online, I found it at the store in Cape Coral! It was easy to find and I actually had a gentleman who worked at the store help me with the differences in the others and I settled on one that served my needs perfectly. I have been back to this store since that experience and always have had a great shopping time. We bought new Maytag washer and dryer for the July 4th sale. BOTH WERE DEFECTIVE!! We paid $1350.00 on July 10th. They were delivered on July 11th but the washer could not be installed because it was defective. So they took that away but we explained we had a family emergency and hopping on a flight that night back home to Cincinnati. They said no problem and call when you get back. We did and the second brand new washer install worked. BUT when we went to dry our first load of clothes the Dryer did not work either! It will not heat. Both brand new appliances were defective!!! That is not coincidence but bad business!! The manager and staff were rude and refused to help. Because dryer was outside of 48 hours we have to go through manufacture which is Maytag. NEVER buy anything from this store!! Very disturbing and dishonest. The Staff are sad and do not answer phones. When they do they are rude. They admitted their site produced a fridge we purchased. that came up in the search ad with an ice maker and their website photos showed an ice maker. 3 levels down, in fine print, it said optional, but nowhere on their site is an option to add it. So, we were sold a false bill of goods creating an entirely new issue. After 2 hrs on the phone, they promised me an ice maker. Instead, they sent me a link to buy one. Even there, they had NO OPTION to pay for installation?! So, I bought it to get the problem done and was planning to pay a plumber as it was not an easy task for this model. Then they didn't even have the item, even tho' their site sold it to me, said it was on stock and sent me an emails saying ready to pick up. Needless to say, I was more than a little unhappy- nothing about Lowe's on-line or on-phone customer service was good or worked and in fact, it was all wrong and false- avoid their website- Buyer Be Warned... HOWEVER, the Folks IN STORE were STELLAR. Do not. I repeat, do not have Lowes do your floor installation. I had my floor installed with luxury vinyl 18 months ago, and I am still arguing with them to come and rectify the issue. The areas that I had tile down before, is lumpy and bumpy underneath, and new vinyl is cracking. I have no transition Strips throughout my home. Now they want to come in and only do certain sections where the vinyl is cracking and apply transition strips so they don't have to redo the whole home. I only went with Lowes as the salesman informed me that they guarantee their workmanship 100%. they are literally refusing to do the job without transition strips. That is not what I paid for. I will be cutting up my Lowe's card and never shopping there again, switching over to Home Depot. They are unreliable, and I wish I had read all of the reviews ahead of time before I made my decision. read more

I am a DIYer and as such, spend a bunch of time at the hardware store. The big box spots always have the best selection, while the smaller independents have the better service. I really wish that the big box spots could figure out the secret and up their service game, but alas, I digress... This Lowe's is my local store and has become my go-to. I usually prefer Home Depot, but the crowds there and lack of service have influenced my choice as of late and I find myself choosing Lowe's on a regular basis. This Lowe's store is well organized, well stocked, and there is always good parking available. The wood at Lowe's is of higher quality then HD, at least that's my anecdotal experience. The wood at HD always seems warped and I really have to dig to find a straight board. At Lowe's, the "digging" is far less. So, if we'll stocked with good products and good parking, then why three stars? It's the service. I have encountered some great associates, but a few have just been horrible. Even my kids have commented on how rude they are. If you can't be happy in a retail setting, then you shouldn't work in one... This Lowes is typical in terms of size, has a familiar layout, and stocks the items we've come to expect. We've had shelving and blinds custom-cut. We've special ordered a motorized blind. And we've made numerous purchases throughout the store for our landscaping, pool, lighting, storage and organization needs. Leaving some categories out, I'm sure, but you get the gist. After I raised a stink they sent out another repair company which confirmed the cracked cook top and confirmed it was by no fault of ours. Lowes agreed to cover the repair. GREAT!! Unfortunately that was 2 months ago. When I called to find out when the repair was going to happen I was then told that the glass top is on Back Order from China. We have been without 1/2 our cook top for 2 and 1/2 months. Now We have an additional issue which could become a serious liability for Lowes. The cook top glass is creating glass dust and chips when we use the other half and these glass chips and dust can get in our food. Finally Lowes Joe Litaker said they would re-inverse me $1000 toward a replacement. The problem is the replacement is $1398.00 Plus Tax and Plus another 5 Year policy expense. I do not believe it should cost me almost an additional $700.00 dollars to rectify an issue Lowes Caused. When trying to speak to someone in charge Good Luck. The big box stores have certainly forgotten about customer satisfaction. It's nearly impossible to get decent help when you go to store. There are only a few folks I talk to when I go in because nobody can give good guidance on the materials for sale. The third party delivery contractor is absolutely horrific. I purchased a shiny new lawnmower and they gave me a delivery date, which was agreed upon by myself and Lowes. I took a day off work and arranged for my child to be picked up from school by somebody else as I needed the lawnmower because my lawn was quite overgrown after the hurricane. They said they'd arrive between 3:30pm and 5:30pm on a Wednesday, they arrived at 8:35pm. There was no call or anything as I sat around and waited for 5 hours for a 2 hour delivery window. And they didn't deliver the bagger I had purchased as well, I had to go back up and get that on my own. I went to the store and spoke with the acting manager at the time and he could hardly care at all. He stated it wasn't their fault, it was the contractor's fault. If I owned a company and required a contractor to assist me, I'd surely pick a contractor that didn't make me look bad. This is why people go to Amazon and kill these major retailers because customer service no longer exists. There is no concern or compassion when dealing with these people and it makes the company look terrible. We purchased a refrigerator for my mom in December 2018. The lady that helped us with this purchase was amazing! We had an issue with the ice/water, and they sent out a repair service that was great & had us up and running. That lasted about 1 year! Now the ice/water is not working properly again. This all started before Hurricane Ian, and we are still waiting to see if they will try to fix the issue or get a new fridge. We try to call to call to find out what is going, as we are now paying for ice & water. We paid for the service plan so this would not be an issue, but here we are 7 months still waiting! They will not let us talk to anyone besides the person who answers the phone, and just says "it's in review"! How long does it take to review? When the lady asked asked if my mom would do a review, my mom stated she would not like her review & she hung up on her! My husband has brand new stainless steel machine fill hoses. I refused to purchase them and I was told since I would not spend $34.99, they refused to set up machine for me when it is delivered. Isn't that crappy!!!! Also, when I tried to purchase machine on the Lowes website, their credit card payment system is dilapidated. All websites allow you to put in a ship to and a bill to address. I am from Germany and I am a home owner in Florida. Just was at Lowe's Cape Coral, to buy new washer and dryer. Assistant unable to put other than US phone number in the system. Unable to tell me if delivery in next days or weeks. Such improvements (for accounting reasons) I regularly pay by check through my US bank account. 5 employees were involved for more than one hour, unsuccessfully trying to effect my payment by check. During their attempts, invoice amounts "varied" and they had to adjust billing amounts. Ultimately, "the system" required a US drivers license, which I don't have. After 80 minutes of trying I switched to credit card payment through my Germanen bank account. All I got was a payment slip at the end. After asking for a printed invoice (warranty declaration etc) they printed out some conversations from "the system". I have been friendly and I have been patient. No greetings from anyone involved, not even good bye at the end. Everyone is wearing employee awards stickers, though. That's "the system". read more

The low 2 Star rating was justified from my recent purchase of a new water heater and Lowe's plumber doing the installation. The phone line customer service at this Cape Coral store was ridiculously poor! It took me almost 90 minutes to complete what should have been a 15-30 minutes time frame. I had to hold for 40 minutes just to wait for a staff member to take my payment information!! Additionally, I had to call back the next day because that staff member failed to email me the receipt as promised. Finally, their insider plumber added way excessive charges for one small "extra" to glue into the feed line a new shut off valve. Beware of this store! read more

The selection was better than Home Depot but was anyone there to help you? No, I stood in the aisle standing there for 30 minutes, not a soul. I asked the customer service desk and asked for help and I said this always happens here. She replied, " I know." I hate Lowe's. I wish HD had what I needed I would have paid more for it just to stay out of Lowe's. This is not the not the first time either. I came in to get a plant and some stuff for it and luckily I know a little about plants but apparently not as much as I thought because once I YouTube how to take care of the plant it didn't look so easy. I learned that I have to the the plant on a little stick which I see why because the plant is leaned over. I'm hoping everything turns out good with the plant because if it does then I'll be excited to go get more plants. Maybe one at a time, I don't want to over do it. I love how Lowe's has everything you need for what ever project that you are working on. If you're workin in your house they'll help and point you in the right direction and they'll even deliver your Appliance to the location that you want them to. I love seeing all the lights and Chandeliers. Also, the paint department is another important department. They will help you with anything you need when it comes you your painting dreams and needs and sometimes they even have paint on sale. They half about a million or maybe more colors you can choose from and they'll even help you pick out a color. The people who work over there are paint experts so they know what their talking about. The appliance department is another important department! There are so many options to choose from but the worker is always there to help you choose what ever fits your needs. One thing about it is, there is always someone around to help you no matter what you may need and where it may be. read more

I will not buy another appliance from them ever again. I went into the store to purchase a dishwasher and was told I could get it delivered and installed within a week. I also asked about financing options and was told I could get 12 months same as cash, 0% financing. None of that was true. It took over 3 weeks to get the dishwasher after calling installer numerous times. I had to pay extra for installation ($200) and installation company didn't appreciate my calling asking when my dishwasher would be delivered. I think the lady got mad at me and put my install way back on the list. Even installer made comments that he didn't understand why my order was sitting there so long. Then the bill arrives (before I even got the dishwasher) and I have interests charges to pay. Needless to say, I paid the entire bill in full, tore up their credit card and won't shop there again.
